Hi,
Is anyone having problems syncing their Windows Live primary account on WP7?
Every time I try I get a Windows Live error message along with the error code: 8600050C
I can sync emails on my PC's Windows Live Mail application, but not on my phone
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm expiriancing the same errot today on my Windows phone, when trying to check for new messages.
Mine now appears to be working..
I turned off WiFi and tried Data connection(which I tried earlier today but didn't work, might of been because my connection was weak), then it started syncing, so I turned it off, reset my router and tried again from WiFi and it now works.
This is just a pain in the royal @#@! Every once in a while this happens and it's starting to get on my last nerve. Why does this happen? Like just now I can't get on Facebook and no error code it just keeps saying that it needs my attention, WTF?

Oh this is just great; now I'm getting a Oops! we're having a problem that we can't solve at the moment. try again later, what the ???
Happened out of the blue last night when i was using facebook.
It popped up about incorrect password and Live ID need attention.
I went to setting > email account and checked the password. It wouldn't accept the correct password (I was able to log in just fine on PC with that account)
This morning facebook says it's not up to date and gives error 80072F7D
I see this problem everywhere. Seems like a lot of people is having it. Dunno what's happening to MS

I'm hoping this is a Facebook error and not a Windows Phone error!
I've read that hard resets don't solve this. This is leading me to believe Facebook made some changes and didn't consider Windows Phone connecting.

Actually I just heard over at Windows Phone Central that it's a big problem and just about everyone is going through the same BS. Everyone is venting Here.
any news yet??? my live id account still say attention required
I've entered the correct password. It says synchronizing and attention required again.
It's very unlikely that password is incorrect. I tried entering an incorrect password and it immediately said password incorrect without synchronize (not being back to the account list saying attention required)
Everything works fine for me, Facebook started working again 11 am
yeah, facebook worked for me too, but i still can't get Live ID to work. It's strange that I still can download app from Market Place and open Xbox just fine. But email + accounts says it needs attention!?

I had those same issues before; the only way i was able to make Windows Live and my email start working again was to delete them from my phone and reinstall them.

When trying to login to Live messenger it goes through the sync processes then fails.

any ideas? I tried searching the forum but got no answer. It lets me login to messenger just fine, only thing not that does not sync is my personal settings.
Might be a server problem. Was it working before?
on a diffrent version of wm6 yes. ive tested it on 2 from this build maybe it is a server issue. i didnt think of that
I have had this error for a long time, figured i was the only one experiencing it....It happens on my phone and my wifes phone........experienced it on the Core rom and on Crossbow reloaded and on the one Im on now.

I get the same message as well, have been for quite a while. But your email etc all still syncs fine, and direct push seems to work on live mail too, so i dont think its a major issue??
reinstall Live. That is what I did as i had the same problems.

Kinda major to me when im trying to get a good rom with no errors to push public. LOL. Im just picky that way
what version of windows live are you using?
Need to clear password and switch account.
If you clear your password and switch account in the Live options it will sync again.
The myspace application in my beloved HD2 just stopped working! Everytime I try to log on, I get the message "Unable to contact Server. Application will now close" It's been like that for a long time now. I've uninstalled it and installed it again and it's still the same. Any tips anyone?

It's been doing this for well over a MONTH. I have no idea why it hasn't been corrected yet. Obviously Microsoft has no concern as to whether it works or not.

I currently can't login to my Windows Live account. No matter if I try and use the messenger on my phone or my PC, or if I try and download something from the marketplace. It always keeps telling me error code 80048823. Does anybody else have the same issues or is there something wrong with my account all of a sudden?
I did some research, but all I found out was that it seems I have tried to login too often using the wrong credentials. Which of course is wrong. So I followed the advice given by some Windows Live FAQ and changed my password. To no avail. -.-
I'm currently able to log into Hotmail - so it doesn't seem down to me...

Thank you, Casey. I just tried my wife's account which works as well. I have no idea what happened. I'm advised to reset my password, which I did. Three times now actually. I still can't log in. There doesn't even seem to be a way to contact some sort of support. Darn. -.-

Don't worry - sometimes some accounts are locked for updating or for maintenance. You can't do anything but waiting. I have had similar problems with my skydrive a few days ago .... After a couple of hours, everything was perfectly fine.

I hope so. I can't use any Live service at all. No skydrive, no Messenger, no nothing. A couple of minutes ago I tried logging in to www.live.com. After submitting my credentials I was told that my account was locked down due to violations of their terms of services. I didn't do anything that could have caused that. But at least there was an option of contacting their support, which I did. I hope they'll get back to me soon as my phone is half useless now. -.-
A couple hours ago I noticed twitter and windows live were not syncing. I attempted to resync and they still wouldn't. I tapped on the Windows Live account (main one) and it got error 86000206. I looked it up and found this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2464629#86000206 It mentioned to change the server from m.hotmail.com to m.outlook.com so I did that and now not only does it not sync but it also doesn't accept my password anymore. Reboots do nothing. I think I need to get in and change that server back but no idea how. I'd rather not have to reload my phone unless absolutely necessary. Any ideas?
THIS IS EXACTLY what happened to me! DO NOT CHANGE TO m.outlook.com! DO NOT DO IT! I am in a process of restore and updating the phone!
Yeah, I'm afraid I'm going to have to do the same thing. I'm getting everything in place now to do so. Hopefully I can pull off a miracle at the last second.
the thing that pisses me of is - it has been an outage, I noticed that my chat isnt working, and tada - not up-to-date on Windows Live & Twitter. I need to learn to wait and not trying fix the things up right that second...well...I ended in the same situation like you
Yeah. I figured when I saw no mentions of it on twitter it must be just me. If I were more patient like you said I wouldn't have this issue. I'm not a happy person. It's stupid that you can't go in and modify that server name if you change it but you can if it's correct.

Does anyone else have the same problem with gmail as me? After maybe 30 minutes to an hour i keep on getting the message that my sign-in has failed and i need to keep on entering my password, also when i delete emails they either stay there or reappear later on!
Nope, but I do sometimes get the error that it couldn't sync my contacts on the regular email app for my work Office 365 exchange account

I had that, I deleted the account, added it again & it fixed it.

Used to be a common problem with Android. The solution was what was stated earlier, remove the account and add again. I don't think I've seen that problem since KitKat...
And with emails coming back, this used to happen to myself as well. I have my Yahoo email come through the Gmail app and it used to happen all the time. Now when I get an email I don't care to read I'll delete it from the notification bar and I haven't seen it return like it did to myself on marshmallow on my s7. But I'm able to see multiple emails and still delete them individually from the notification bar now, I couldn't do that before.
