It renders glass balls which can collide and there is also a gyroscope mode moving marbles according to the device orientation.
Marbles are customizable, you can change the number of marbles, their size and the color intensity. Simulation speed is adjustable and there is an energy save mode slowing down the effect to save battery.
Starting from version 1.2 there is a selectable scroll mode (for devices/launchers supporting background scrolling) giving a small impulse to marbles everytime you scroll to a different home screen.

The entire app utilizes an extensive set of animations that you can get a glimpse of in this demo video I made. The actual app has no lag - the apparent lag is a result of the screen recording software.
