I just wanted to know if others have enjoyed the success of the latest radio. My data speeds have at least doubled to tripled on average. The One S has become even more awesome

How's battery life? On my Vibrant, I could flash faster radios, but battery life sometimes suffered.

So far I am not seeing any worse performance but I have not been fully charged on one rom for a couple days. Just installed Energy Rom today and have not had a chance to fully charge phone and have had heavy use on it today. I have been charging in spurts since I flashed Rom when battery was below 20%. Can't imagine it will be worse considering a more consistent, stable connection. Will give an update later.

Ignore my base build version. It is actually the new base 1.84... Dev made a number error in his boot zip.

I'm using the new radio and can agree that speeds seem much faster. My room used to be a dead zone (back when T-Mobile first started HSPA towers about 2 years ago) and I always had on and off H (4G) connectivity. With the new radio, I always get a steady stream with no drops. As for battery, I cannot say for sure, but it seems to dry out faster when the screen is on and using data. It could be just in my head as it is nothing extreme at all.
I assume it can't be used on t-989?

No! Radios are designed for specific devices and only work on the devices they are built for

I do not know. That is an SG2 right? My friend has an At&t G-Note he uses on T-Mobile and says it gets better reception than SG2 on Tmobile.

I don't know If I want to just keep my Inspire or go out and get the Vivid. The Inspire is rooted and rom'd as of now, but I've been thinking about getting the Vivid just because of the front cam. What should I do?? What are the pro's and con's of the HTC Vivid That most of you have experienced?

Get the VIVID. The performance is outstanding, along with the super-fast LTE speeds (assuming your area is covered.) Like mentioned before the Inspire is old.
Although there isn't much development for the vivid on XDA the roms that there are are pretty great and plus the vivid has a bigger screen, a front facing cam, and ics ootb

The vivid is old also and from listening to my friends talk about it, it isn't that great either. ATT has better phones.

As the title says I am on my fourth HTC one x and getting tired of the bugs and screen defects I have had with the phone. How much of a difference would the SGS2 skyrocket be? Should I get another one x or go the skyrocket route?

I would suggest going to a skyrocket if you are having this kind of luck. The skyrocket may have a slightly different processor. But still 1.5ghz. Skyrocket is still running 2.3.5 out of the box but there are solutions for 4.0.4 already in this forum. Can somebody correct where I'm wrong please.

All of that. I had an original SGS2 but wanted LTE. That's why I originally switched to the HTC one x.

is this common with the one x? They have tons of issues or what? I haven't even looked at or considered one due to no sd or removable battery. That's a deal breaker for me

Found that to be a small issue. Storage is segmented between apps and system. Also this is the third screen issue I've had.

I would never even consider getting a one x because it has no external sd or battery. And with all those issues, I would ****can that turd.

Had a One X for 2 days. Sold it and purchased the Skyrocket. The One X is slick, I just don't like HTC anymore.

International version of One X is plain full of issues. I wouldn't go for it.
US version One X is a great phone all the way around, battery life, performance, and gorgeous screen. Vivid can't touch it and I'm not a Samsung fanboy. Had an international version and returned because of issues. Too bad Motorola never unlocked the atrix 2, it would have been awesome.

The Rezound is the successor to the Thunderbolt, if that's what you're asking.
The evo 3d I think is closer to the bolt

No, the Inspire isn't dual core.
Basically its AT&T's mock version of the Thunderbolt.
They even look the same.
It's very similar to the Desire HD, but I think the Inspire is more similar to the Thunderbolt.
The Inspire just doesn't have a front facing camera.

I don't know. The last time this discussion came up the consensus was the desire HD was the same. Just did some Googling and the thunderbolt has a better chip set than both of those phones. The others are 8255 Snapdragons and the thunderbolt is 8655. Could he a mistake on the website though.

The Inspire and Thunderbolt both have more internal memory than the Desire HD.
I just think its more similar to the Thunderbolt.
In comparisons, the Thunderbolt and Inspire both come out over the Desire HD.
I could be wrong about it though.

Looking at the specs between the Desire HD and Inspire is definitely interesting.

They probably did it for marketing reasons. Hype up the newer phone to make people upgrade without them knowing its very close to what they already have. All about the money these days. HTC has a history of releasing 10+ phones at the same time and some if not all are pretty much the same phone. They just have different names, slightly different bodies, etc.
Granted these three phones were not released at the same time but pretty close.

That is true. The phones they make for multiple carriers tend to be that way. Its like they dont want consumers knowing their phone is the same as one for a different carrier. Samsung is smart enough to keep the same phone and make it work on all the carriers.
