Hi i used revolutionary to turn s off. This also installed clockwork mod.
So i dropped my insertcoin 4.3.1 beta xe rom into my sdcard, did a full wipe through clockwork, installed rom and then did a reboot after install.
Now my phone is frozen on boo up on the beats audio logo and wont go pass this??? I have tried to reinstall the rom same way in case and tried a factory reset to get phone back to normal, but no result!!
How can I get my phone back to working please help me, im a total noob i know ..
Did you update the firmware? If not, visit this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Be sure to find the right firmware for your Rom... I'm not sure if that version of insertcoin uses firmware 3.12 or 3.24...

thank you
hi ty but i didn't upgrade no firmwire i was running android 3.2.4 before i did anything.. is there a more simpler solution to just get my phone working as im a bit confused after reading the thread you posted..
many thanks again..
You need the firmware for these ICS roms.... That's what makes it run... I saw the forum in insert coin that you need the 3.24... So this might be for all versions.... Just get the right zip file put it in the root of your sd and reset to bootloader and that should be good...
If you don't want to update the firmware, just flash the insertcoin Gingerbread roms... I think the last one is insertcoin 3.4.6... You'll find it the insertcoin website...

ok ive just gone to there website, from my understanding does this mean i need to install the first version of this rom
InsertCoin_Sensation_Android_2.3.4_Stable_2_3.1.zip
which will the able me to upgrade to the 4.3.1 after?? I did not post link of the InsertCoin_Sensation_Android_2.3.4_Stable_2_3.1.zip as it may not be alloerd in forum ty again..
No, it won't let you do that... The only way for you to run the newest insertcoin is to have the new firmware... Sorry to disappoint you if I did... All ice cream sandwich roms run on 3.24 firmware... All you can run with your firmware is gingerbread roms....
If this is your first time flashing rims, please be careful.... Read more about it...
I don't want you to brick your phone...
Remember also, if you decide to install the 3.24 firmware, be sure that it is compatible with your CID and MID... The thread I gave you is very helpful...

you have been ever so helpful my friend but i just want my phone back and bypass this freeze, what would be the easiest solution as i would want to download a mod such as cynogen mod 7 as a last result..
I'm still actually in Gingerbread at the moment... It's jut cuz I don't have time to update yet and still reading few more info to upgrade to ICS...
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats
ok im going to download cynogen 7 and put that on my sd card and see if that works..
Is there cyanogen for XE? Didn't know if there's one hehehe... I don't see cyanogen 7 for sensation ... Flash the roms that are built for your phone only....
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats
ok i cant connect the phone via usb as it just freezes, im going to have to buy a sd card adaptor tmrw and then chuck the roms on tmrw, see how it goes..
btw what do you think of this will this be compatible with my htc xe 2.3.4??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
Yes but download the gingerbread version.... Not the ice cream sandwich...
You are right, the 2.3.4 is the one

i want to downgrade everything back to stock because i need wifi calling to actually work. i cant get any patch or fix or work around to work with any ics rom. can somebody please pointme in the direction i need to go either to that file pg58img.zip or directions on how to revert and a link to the stock rom. not that link to file factory because it never works. thanks
so is it not possible? i am on ics now and i hate it. i have been searching for hours and all i wanna do is go back to gb so i can use my wifi calling. why does it seem impossible to do so? the ruu thing gives me errors. i dont care about ota updates. can i go back to gb or not?
Have you tried ARHD6.6.2? It should be working...
Are you s-off, rooted? If so I think you need to flash the 1.17 firmware PG58IMG to go back to gb.

i finally got back to stock
I am rooted and booted by the way. I hate when someone has a problem then fix it and don't post how they fixed it. Therefore a super simple guide to get back to stock tmous GB will be coming soon. I found it very annoying that it took me about 2 hours of non stop searching to figure it out so I will make a guide pertaining only to reverting to gb while keeping s off and root and pointing in all the right directions to make it easier for the next guy. I'm sorry but as of right now I have found all ics roms to be too buggy for everyday use. I am going to wait for an official tmous ics rom to drop. Thanks.

If you have the RUU, extract the rom.zip yourself

Haha what a loser!
Hi guys, i've looked everywhere for the similar posts & i can't seem to find one!
Please bare in mind this is just a general interest as i no longer have the phone!
Sorry in advance if there is one!
Right, a few months ago i had my HTC sensation XE (with beats audio)...
Orginally came with Gingerbread and i updated to ICS successfully.
A few weeks passed and i decided to read up on rooting my sensation.
I went through the process of rooting and flashing recovery etc and that went through all fine, then i became interessted in ROMS.
I created a nandroid back-up in CWM recovery just incase anything went terribly wrong - which it did - the phone got stuck on HTC start up screen... wouldn't move from there. I kept restarting to see if it'd be nice and start up but it never did. So i panicked i started trying to run RUU's, flash my nandroid back up.. all of which were successful, but still stuck on the htc screen?
Any ideas what i done wrong?
I'm getting a HTC One X today and i'm considering rooting, i really don't want the same thing happening again!
All ideas i'd be happy to read!
Thanks!
Did you use the correct firmware for the rom? Ics takes 3.32 firmware. If you don't flash the correct firmware it will cause big problems.

Good question, that could be why- i literally tried so many rom's and ruu's and tricks to try and get it past the htc screen.
Do you think it's worth me Rooting my HTC ONE x?
Thanks for the reply x
When you do that you should update your firmware but sense you didn't it caused a boot loop and when you try to go to your nand back up you lost your boot.IMG thats why it won't boot extract from the zip file and place it in the same folder that contains your adb driver and fastboot and typ your commands to get your fastboot driver working and then typ fastboot flash boot boot.img when thats done typ fastboot reboot and watch the magic and you must have a copy of the zip on your pc or laptop meaning the Rom you made nand back up of

Best to ask that in the One X forum IMO as they can comment on the custom ROM's better of course.
I'd say depends if you're happy with the stock ROM. If you are and don't need the root features then leave it.
Otherwise go for it.

Its always worth the root...I've tested the one x on the stock rom and it ran buttery smooth....I believe it can only get better with a custom rom.

thanks for the reply.
i saw a thread before, though i cannot find it now, and based on that thread, there is a different way to flash roms to at&t sensation phones.
i am physically located in the philippines and i havent tried international phones ever since, i always use the local ones.

Hi there, I am T-Mobile sensation 4g. I can confirm that yes as long as you are S-off you can flash any Rom to your sensation you like. Just make sure you have the correct firmware for the Rom you are wanting to run. Rule of thumb is ICS roms run on android 3.32 or 3.33. Firmware. Very important. 3.33 is the newest firmware but most ics roms run on both . As long as your soff and have the correct firmware your good to go. I highly recommend you using 4ext recovery also. It's a easy to use recovery that most of us use . Some roms actually are not booting unless 4 ext is installed. It's extremely easy to use and you will love it. It makes flashing a breeze. Remember before you flash to always do a nandroid backup . This is for your protection. If you have an issue you can easily restore your backup. Hope this information has helped you some. Don't worry about T-Mobile. I enjoy any Rom I want whenever I want to flash without any issues. Best wishes !

thanks for that information.
if ever this would be my first htc unit. what are the things that i need to consider to prevent softbrick/hardbrick? or loosing imei? i appreciate using ext4 was already mentioned. i have a friend with galaxy s, he wiped ext4 and it cause him a bootloop and its very dificult to fix. as we tried to use odin and got no luck.

edit:
now i got my sensation,
its already using a custom rom and custom kernel. im checking if there is clockwork recovery app or not, it appears that there is none,
how can i check if it's s-off already, unlocked bootloader, with supercid?
