hey, if you want people to help you'll need to provide more details...
what was the last working rom were you running?
what were you doing when it broke?
do you have a recovery rom installed?
can you fastboot/recovery?
what is your handset (32a/b, radio, etc)?

The rom comes fully debloated, but here is the good part thanks to a custom program APP INJECTOR
. The reason for this is file system fragmentation! Having a ROM with a bunch of stuff you do not want in it, you remove them and then install others and this leaves the file system a mess. Especially on NAND memory devices! Now you can
install what you want after flashing and keep a nice clean file system.
In this ROM kit is Petrus' APP Injector. This was written specifically to support this ROM. What this does is after
flashing you can now "inject" Google plus, Google add-on apps, Stock apps
You get to pick and choose what you want and not get stuff
you do not want! It properly injects this stuff CLEANLY either in /system/app or data/app!.

This was 588 yuan on Tao Bao, I'm not sure I can believe it is a real MT6592.
I'm trying to find the stock rom for this phone so I can flash it, or something compatible.
I can't find much information about HGL at all.

I think it is a real MT6592 device,but the price is too low,so the quality will not be so good......Never before have I heard of this brand.And there is no bbs for this phone,maybe it's impossible to find a stock rom for it on the Internet,but root seems to be easy. Take notice of 5.88-inch screen at qHD resolution

Same Mobile here.
i Brought this at Taobao also, but then written there Zivi Z802. But i search online and its exactly HGL MM808.
I've tried to root it, success and then i flash google Framework. But it's failed.
i restart my mobile, everything normal, but the root is empty (auto unrooted)
i try to off my mobile, pressing volume + and power, boot to menu, but when i select recoevery, it bypass and restart, means cannot boot to recovery anymore.
already tried more than 10 times, still failed.
any solution??
inside is baidu rom, but i guest the manufacturer edited the rom and locked. (i'm newbie)

Disclaimer: I don't own an Idol 3 but I do find one of its stock wallpapers namely the pinky sky landscape default wallpaper rather pretty.
Although Alcatel has launched Idol 3 in the North America, Europe and some parts of the Asian region for a while. It's still unavailable in mainland China where I live. Thanks to @famewolf's backup thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/general/want-to-able-to-install-ota-updates-t3163745 and especially @lordlittlebrooks' effort for uploading his/her 6045i_5.0.2-7SMA-UEA1 (USA) system backup. It took quite some time to download and figure a way to extract apks from system.img, but the final result is here:

Great job. Now if someone could just find the Onetouch app some folks mentioned...seems only to be available to models not in google "now" friendly areas....and rumored to be built into their launcher. I guess you would not have seen anything like that since the image you used was from a 6045i (usa model).

The BLU Zoey Smart is a bad phone. There's no getting around that. KaiOS stutters at the best of times with 512mb of RAM. The BLU Zoey Smart has 256mb of RAM.​

However, all hope is not lost. Every manufacturer I have asked has not released the kernel source for their KaiOS phone. BLU on the other hand, was all too willing to give it out.

NOTE 2: I am still piecing together the kernel source to get it to build properly.
There is no touchscreen on this device, so CWM or PHILZ are most likely the only recovery options.

I have not extracted the pac file to view the actual firmware, just viewed the build.prop, so if someone would be willing to do that, it would be great.

Unusual additions:
The build.prop manually sets and reports the SAR value, which I am pretty sure is illegal or at the very least, very shady.

No surprise, but the kernel source is broken. Yay -__- Thanks Spreadtrum.
sprd_dcam is the issue, I'm currently looking for a fix, but Spreadtrum kernels are infuriatingly not filled with commits. Most kernels usually have "updated kernel" as the commit message instead of cherry picking.
If anyone has experience with SPRD Kernels, I'd appreciate any assistance.
