Is there any way to customize the bar at the top of the screen? I can hide it, but I'd rather change the colors of the icons to match the rest of my phone. Is there a way to theme it? Sorry if this has been addressed before, didn't see it.

Oh, wow! that site looks pretty cool. As far as easy, I'm still not sure how to use it.... hmmm..
There is a "How To" tab ;-)
Besides XDA, that's the coolest and most useful link I've found for my phone. Got any more cool stuff like that?
OK. so i take the SystemUI.apk from my phone and copy it to desktop, then upload it to the site, then it fixes it for me, gives it back, and i flash it... got it. i think.
Where the heck do I find my SystemUI.apk????

The best thing to do is push it to /system from adb and recovery then run fix perms. The zip you will download will probably not flash properly.

Not sure I follow. I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to this stuff. However, in the zip file of the rom I d/led and flashed a while back, I found the SystemUI.apk. also, i see where it has the base launcher as ADW Launcher blah blah blah. Can I remove that, and put my favorite launcher in, and then flash it, and it wouldhave that launcher as it's base?
I need to get into a live chat with one of you smart guys, to get you to teach me some of this knowledge so I'm not in here asking so much stupid stuff.

How do I do that? Is there anyone who has used this site before and got it to work fine? I'm just scared I'm gonna mess something up.. Are there any other sites like it?
follow the directions on the site. Then instead of transfering the zip to your sdcard, unzip it and pull the systemui.apk out. Transfer that to your sdcard and push it back to your phone.

I'm sorry, smack me if you want, i'm still learning. But, what do you mean by 'push'?
OMG. I decided to do a back up before i tried flashing it. So, I'm in recovery, and in the process of backing up.... it got to 'Backing up .android_secure...' and now it's not moving.

@Davidukfl
here is your framework man! Make sure that you rename the files to just framework-res.apk. I just renamed them for your convenience!
Take the following steps to put it back on your phone:
USUAL DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible if you brick your phone...blah blah blah
Connect your phone to your pc in charge only usb mode. Make sure the phone is recognized by your computer. Place the .apk file in the location of your choice.
Command prompt 1:
1) type adb devices (make sure your phone shows up)
2) type adb shell
3) type adb remount
4) type adb push <location of framework-res.apk> /system/framework/framework-res.apk
5) type adb remount
Your phone should reboot, and then be good to go.
I dont use fission, and haven't tested this, but it has worked for me when I have ported ROM's.
Enjoy!
alright thanks, works great.
What i did was remove the old framwork from the original theme file, re-zipped it and then applied the theme like normal.
then I followed your instructions and applied the framework seperately

As per the "same" ringtones, this happens sometimes with me too even when loading other ringtones on my evo. Try wipe cache and reboot and try again. After a while if there were dupes they go away, and everything goes back to normal.

ES File Manager does not allow you to go to anything prior than /sdcard i believe.
Root Explorer (for root users) allows you to get into those system folders.
Are you rooted?

unfortunetely since Tekken isnt using the UOT KItchen we have to install it manually , big pain in the arse because everytime i tried with the Samsung theme i kept messing it up... maybe i can try someday to make a flashable zip but honestly , expect a bootloop xD

It's quite easy if you have it rooted... get root explorer or any other root file browser and in my screenshots the one with "Conversations.apk" are the correct permissions to make this work without bootloop.
RW,R,R as most people put it.....
all apps except the framework.apk go into the
system/apps folder.
the framework-res.apk must be RW,R,R or your phone will bootloop, this file goes under
system/framework.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOVING THE FILES TO /system first then setting permissions then moving them to there respective locations.
Also the media folder can be set on your SD card but the boot animation will have to be moved and replaced in
system/media
it also needs to be RW,R,R.
hopes this clears things up for those.
P.S. bear in mind what version this is for! , i also have no intentions of making this for any other rom/stock rom version sorry.
Thank you

that one doesn't look nearly as well done imo.
A single icon isn't supposed to come out of the corner, etc...
This one is perfect.
What is the difference between corners and fast corners?
which one is better?
here's the quote
"What's Fast Corners?
I've made the fade animation when tapping a corner instant so that the corner expanding animation plays more smoothly. Basically this just reduces the number of simultaneous animations going on resulting in less work. Even on my HDPI Samsung Galaxy S this made a slight difference in performance. The tweak is non-trivial and the change is extremely minor but for users with LDPI and MDPI devices this should improve that animation."
I actually tried both, and I recommend fast corners. Seems to look much smoother, though both are awesome

Remember to back up your current Home.apk as these methods will replace it.

1) Download and unzip Note4_Batman Place apks on SD
2) Use Root Explorer to find corresponding apks in app/priv-app
3) RENAME system app to .bak. Example: SecMms_Cherry.apk.bak
4) DO NOTHING WITH THE .odex file
5) Copy themed apks to proper folder
6) Reboot
If you want to change back, you can delete themed apk and rename .bak file back to .apk

First of all, google qmg to png converter. Find the one that is an an apk. It will convert and put files right on your phone. Only replace the pngs you want to modify so you don't make the apk too big. As far as the dialer background, you need to write the background in in your styles.xml. it has gotten a little harder on 4.4.4. Look for DeviceDefault and stay there.

Put the icons in whatever folder they came out of.. Probable drawable-sw360dp-xxhdpi and delete the qmg or astc file with the same name. You have to search for the colors. They are not all in one place.
