Short answer is no! I'm running the same ROM, I backed up the stock camera app, pushed the mod one to system/app fixed the permissions and restarted. Only force closes when opened.

But in ics from rogers there are two apks ie gallery3d.apk and camera apk.
But in jb its simply gallery apk so how should i get stock camera app,from stock rogers ics?

I think he is trying to say the Samsung stock camera app, which isn't altogether possible as it relies heavily on TouchWiz. Someone was working on modding framework files to get stock Samsung apps to work but not specifically the camera.

I just got a new replacement phone from insurance. It was 1.73 firmware. After unlocking and trying multiple jellybean ROMs (AOKP, CM 10.1, and viper) I have yet to have a working camcorder. When I switch from camera to camcorder it force closes the camera app until a reboot. Not sure if this is the same as OPs issues.

Flash a stock Rom and try. If not s-off and ruu to 1.85 to rule out hardware issues

I've just tried the new camera app, with cm10.1 and it work pretty good.
The best thing is, it has working photosphere function. Unfortunately the preview is green and fuzzy, but the upshot is good.

I'm not sure why photo sphere stopped being included in roms. But it seems any updated roms do not have this feature. Is there anyone willing to get it working as a flashable zip?

You can just install it and add it in yourself.

It installs like a normal app, if you're running touchwiz it'll show up as a second camera, if you're running AOSP you'll have to remove the camera first.

Nexus camera with photo sphere
I uninstalled the Nexus camera due to the photospehre crashing and installed the Google Play Camera and the photosphere works just fine.
Does it work on android 4.3? Liquid smooth 2.37..

Yes, but you're going to have to uninstall the stock camera first.
