[Q] LG 3D Max? - LG Optimus 3D

I bought an LG Optimus 3D Max this week and I have to say it's worthy improvement on the original LG Optimus 3D.
There is no ghost call issue...so that's a plus. The dual-core 1.2GHz processor, combined with the 1GB of RAM make the 3D Max feel like a Samsung Galaxy S II. I used to own one of those. It's also more responsive than the HTC Sensation I also own.
It isn't quad-core....so it's not at the top of the mountain....but it is definitely high enough up the worthiness scale to make it worth the money I paid for it.
The ghost call thing was annoying, but I have now flashed the original Optimus 3D back to Android 2.2.2.....and will await the Android 4.0 upgrade.
This should work out in the end....and I *LOVE* the 3D.
Do we need a new set of forums for the LG 3D Max? Or should it be handled here?

[Q] Best Mid Range Android Phone

I would like some suggestions on which low to mid ranged Android phone I should purchase. Here are the specs:
Screen: 3.2 to 3.7"
CPU: 600MHz or faster
Keyboard: Does not matter
Camera: 3.2MP or better, would like a flash.
Brand: Does not matter
My short list:
#1 Motorola Defy: I like that it is rugged. I read mixed reviews on camera quality. I hear it has a faulty earpiece design.
#2 HTC Wildfire: Nice build quality. Optical mouse. CPU only 528MHz. Low Res display.
#3 SE A8: I could do better.
What about LG optimus? I know it officialy doesnt run a Flash, but it is the best one in your range
You should have a look for a second hand HTC Desire, good phone. It's maybe abit more then mid range but if you could pick one up for cheap you would love it.
Ended up buying the HTC Wildfire. Would have loved the Desire but it was out of my price range.
You must choose wisely...
I'd go for a second hand Desire, or an Optimus One!
I too am looking for a similar conf.
I have decided to go for the Samsung Galaxy Ace. Check the conf at gsmarena and let me know if it meets ur reqs.
BTW I'm getting this in a week's time from now
wildfire is gud, But this one has a better processor.
Hi everyone! I am new here and I am looking for help on whether I should get the Samsung Galaxy Ace or the LG Optimus One. I heard that the Optimus One is very solid compared to the Ace. I need help in choosing which one I should get. The most important feature for me is smooth and fast mobile browsing. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!
Sounds like the Optimus phones.

LG Optimus 3D

worlds first 3D smart phone packs a mean puch not just a gimick powerful indeed
Optimus 3D vs Galaxy S2 vs Atrix 4G who will be crowned king ?
Benchmarks http://www.anandtech.com/show/4179/ti-omap4-and-lg-optimus-3d-tested

Hmm thought it was something new, but thats old news :/ posted on the General forum aswell like 5 times x_x
LG OPTIMUS 3D Smartphone is a smooth and responsive phone but it varied 3D results and LG Optimus 3D feels nice a narrow Schematically.Die, hold in the hand and has good quality build with a soothing weight on it.

[Q] Help me pick out my new phone

I am currently with Sprint using an HTC Evo 4G. I like it but I do not like the service of sprint nor the slow speeds. I am going to move to ATT with my younger brother and looking at sme phones, but I am at a loss at what to pick. I have narrowed it down to 4 phones.
Samsung Infuse- I like this phone because of the Super Amoled screen the size ofteh screen and the lightweight feel of it.
HTC Inspire- I love HTC's sense UI. Even after using MC7 on my evo I went back to a sense style ROM.
Motorola Atrix- Dock aside I have a friend who has this phone and he loves how fast it is with its dual cores.
LG Thrill- THe only other dual core phone on my list but it is 3D and I am not sold on the idea of 3D just yet. Plus every LG phoen I have had has been bad.
I really only am looking at 2 phones the infuse and the inspire. As I said I realyl like HTC's Sense, and not a big fan of TouchWIz. If it was able to do so I would root the infuse and flash a sense style rom on it but I can not find a sense rom for the infuse. I am really stumped so came here to see if I could get some assistance in picking out my new phone.
If you liked the evo (I love sense) the inspire is pretty much the same phone with the exception of the inspire having more memory.
But personally i wouldnt mind ditching sense for power and going with the atrix. dual core with 16gb of internal memory/ 1gb ram.
ULP GeForce GPU <--- that would be my deciding factor
1930 mAh battery compared to the 1230 mAh for the inspire.
And its motorola.
Hope that helps

Samsung Galaxy S PLUS v.s. LG Optimus X2

Hy XDA
Is good to buy S PLUS just for them screen(SUPER AMOLED)?
I want to know if the s plus have lag on the games or no
LG is a 80% pro and 20% pro x2 for and more (10% to 10% screen and other facilities ... for it).
What do you think?
I know all the specs
(90% Google translate)
Thx you!
I don't think it's best to buy S PLus just because of AMOLED ..it's just pointless as Optimus 2x has a pretty good screen resolution too .. and for playing games ..i can't say that S Plus won't lag but i think Optimus 2x can perform better because of Nvidia Tegra 2 GPU and dual-core processor .. Those are just my point of view so it's really up to you ..

LG Optimus 2X vs Nexus S Dilemma

Hello fellas,
I have such a big dilemma in DETAILS between the LG Optimus 2x , Google Nexus S
Details:
Value: Nexus S : ~$330 avg.
O2X: ~$260 avg surprisingly
Performance: LG optimus 2x is the winner {Tegra 2 dual core cpu} even though Nvidia didn't release the damn source, => HW ACC on Cyanogenmod is fairly working (reverse engineering)
Physical specs: LG Optimus 2x also surprisingly better than the Nexus S in terms of durability and thickness, both Nexus S and the Galaxy S (i9000) gives the feeling of cheap material.
Display: LG Optimus 2x is the best. Gorilla Glass, S-LCD (used in iPhones retina), minus the Contour display that nexus S offers which bit sucks, especially fruit ninja lol (Also, there is Nexus S AMOLED, but +$60 bux away, Amoled=least life)
Cool tweak: An app that can control the navigation LEDs, e.g: Facebook notifcation is the home button, so it flashes as of the lack of Notification LED (Both phones lack)
Battery perf: Nexus S , somehow because of the single core CPU, but it should be Vice versa, Dual core uses less power at processing things less than 50% of load than a single core.
Style: Nexus S wins (opinion) not important anyways...
NFC: Nexus S, no need for it. not in my country
Thats against:
HDMI & External sotrage: Optimus 2x is the winner. (As both i might be using in the future, maybe not!)
Storage: LOL, 8GB NS = $300, 16GB O2X: $250 (did i hear dual core? YESS!!, WTF GOOGLE??)
Now the biggest part:
The hot damn software:
Nexus S is the 2nd phone to have the latest updates from Google. Well, Jelly-O Bean.
The LG Optimus still didn't recieve the damn ICS which was the major cons. However, its guaranteed to be release in Q3 of 2012.
My problem on the software side is, all I need is stability, mods (i know that these can be hardly combined)
O2x: GB 2.3.4
Nexus S: JB 4.1.0
IS software a major issue for regretting a $250 dual-core phone?
Sound Quality: Which is my 2nd major upgrade after performance, I should represent this as TIE, since both includes Wolfson DAC, Voodoo mod. But lack of Voodoo features in the O2X ( nvm, i only need AMP, hate external ones, sport-ish)
Others, connectivity, bluetooth etc, aren't major in difference.
As buying consideration,
Any opinion/suggestions/help are appreciated,
Thank you!

ok what your saying about the screen is bollocks amoled is 1000 times better than that other s***
amoled has the best screen life ever i have a nexus one and its still going strong and still beats the s*** out of the washed out colors of the icrap 4/4s make the smart choice and go for the nexus s even though its single core its a better phone lg make stuff that fall apart after a few months of usage get the nexus s.period
the nexus s will get JB in the next few months that lg crap wont
Lg made a damn good phone, best bang for buck, screen excellent too. Sadly updates wise is very poor
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2
I <3 the O2X and dont actually care about the updates... custom roms for me... (the ICS roms are nearly there) PLUS THE HARDWARE ROCKS ( and design, I like that glass on the front and metal strip on back, NS looks a little weird and silly button arragements)
I'll suggest you the Nexus S, although I'm pretty confident you can get a better phone than both for the same money. But from these two, the Nexus S is a winner. Sure, the Optimus packs a dual-core CPU, but the Tegra 2 is technically the least powerful dual-core available. Not to mention software updates. LG are terrible at updating their phones.
The GPS on the Nexus S is pretty crappy though..... If that matters to you.

It may be a "low end dual core" but its far superior to the NS. Updates may suck, s use custom roms

As value....
Nexus S is $370 for what??!?!?!
O2X is for $250 here.
What do you think? What makes a push for 100+ $ to change my mind!!
or mindblowing?

But the Nexus S feels quite confidant choice...
And, the LG Optimus 2x has bad stereo crosstalk.
Voodoo control only amps.
Battery life bit sucks...
And still no goddamn Nvidia source code, OR THE F LG ICS...
No sources is a big problem for me. Screw the ICS update, we want the sources!
A question to be answered :
If i buy the Nexus S, would it support me in the future, like doesnt look so much outdated, I dont need gaming...
Is it worth till this date?
Go on optimus 2x

If your going by outdatedness, the NS is. Single Core processor, whereas the LG has better specs. Faster processsor and looks nicer.
There is support from LG giving the ICS update this month hopefully

If you're a music junkie, the NS has full voodoo sound support while o2x only has hardware amp, and supercurio seems to have given up on it.
hey guyz, sorry for bumping this old thread..
I have chosen the Atrix 4G...
Sound quality + Performance meets at its best...
Just the lack of ICS upgrade, not a big issue to me, "'Leaks'" are nice
Voodoo support for it seems possible (more possibility than the O2X before...), i'm working on a port...
