to know for sure what your doing wrong, we need a lot more info than that, My advice is to start again and read each instruction carefully in whatever process your following. and if that doesnt work utfse for one that does.

Hi,
Was changing the ROM on my Kaiser, using JUMPspl as I had got the white screen using Hardspl. During the upgrade got an error at about 18%, went through the recovery procedure only to get back to the Bootloader screen with the screen saying
SPL-1.93.0000
I think it should say something different here!
At the moment can only get the the tri-colour bootloader screen with usb at the bottom.
Please any help would be much appreaciated.
Thanks
If you are at the tri-color bootloader screen, reflash a ROM.
that's where the process starts at anyhow, the bootscreen.
But doesn't the SPL have to be either Hardspl or jumpSPL.
I have tried to do the rom update again but sticks on 0% and gives error 262

Not advisable if he has the default SPL still though which by the number appearing at the tri col screen it appears to be the case.
Try doing a hard reset and see if it boots into the original ROM then at least you will find out if it is bricked or not, however, i'm not sure it will work based on the fact you got part way through in the first place.
Hold down the keys directly next to the Send and End (green and Red) Hold in the stylus and keep them all held untill you get a screen telling you to press the green (send) key.
Tried the hard reset, takes me back into the bootloader. Any other ideas?
Hmm... ok then.... you are pretty much looking at a very expensive paperweight at this moment in time then.
Look at this thread...it "may" (i'm not promising anything but it may point you in the right direction) help you out. Let us know how it goes.

Hate to joint the parade, but the exact same thing happened here - 18% now stuck at 1.93.0000
For anyone else reading this BEFORE flashing a new ROM please read, read and read again EVERYTHING related to flashing on this site, wikis and wherever else you can get info.
Another idea for you. Search around here for how to flash from an SD card that may solve the issue out for you. As previously noted though....READ READ READ and be 110% certain you understand what you are doing before you do anything.

details some info for a Wizard, should it be the same for a Kaiser?
Will Mtty get me any further?
MTTY will at least give you a USB connection to the device it is worth a shot given your current situation.
There is hope!
I did a clean reboot of my PC and disabled my antivirus (avast) and was able to sucessfully reflash the new 1.62 rom (released from ATT site today).
Thanks will try the new 1.62 rom.
What commands can you use with MTTY?
tried the At&t rom gives me an error on the vendor id. Will try a HTC rom
I have tried multiple roms and they all give me the same error Error 294:Invalid Vender ID
Any ideas
Am starting to get worried because if the misses finds out that I have bricked the new phone, I am up to my neck i it.

Invalid Vendor I.D. is cuz it's locked.
Had the exact issue myself and found a ATT ROM that will boot. It saved me bigtime, so I saved it. It's in one of the posts on one of the threads but I have the actual ROM, it'll overide that lock.- PM me if ya need it.
Got the same solution, Holy S**t about to have a heart attack. Tried nearly ever ROM out there, it was the Asia one that got me going.
Lesson learned: make sure you Hardspl after jumpspl.
Thanks for all the help folks
Glad ya got it fixed. One quick question?
Is your original ROM ATT or HTC ?
It is a HTC ROM. Done My Hardspl and got Sleuth v3.0 on it already
Happy days

sir, you should post in hyperdragons thread, have you installed hard spl, also see the "stickies" these are the first several threads, see FAQ, it will tell you what to do when you flash and what to do it you are having a hard time, try using the search and enter your error code, good luck, i hope you dont run out of flame retardent,
Lupe
Read the sticky posts or the Wiki or Search.
You need Hard SPL.
Please don't create threads for questions that have been asked and answered before.

After loading the Stylez Black v.4 WM6.1 21051 D3D 101MB Full rom my phone give some problems, so i want to go back to the T-Mobile ROM.
But when i am trying to get this rom on the phone with this help i get now the ERROR [244] : INVALID MODEL ID warring, and looked with the search here but i get a lot of different options soms topics are more than 2 years old and that is not working.
So, what can i do to load a new rom or how do i get the orginal rom back on the phone?
plz help....
Thanks in advance...
Maybe this can help you http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser
Or this too http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs
No solutions found...
Anyone ?? Please?
Hard-SPL bypasses Vendor Model check so shouldn't have any problem flashing any stock ROM have you tried others? Try and flash a HTC or AT&T stock, just a bizarre thing as everyone flashes stocks at some point especially if nearly brick and peeps generally flash stocks to bypass 6.5 hard-reset issue.
Can you go into bootloader and reply with Hard-SPL you have?
Also another way is to try flashing via SD, info in the flashing for noobs guide in sticky.
Same Issue
Hi,
I also use Hard SPL to flash new ROMs, however i also face the same issue with certain roms, currently i remember i has similar issues with ATNT rom.
Ok, or i am a realy noob or i doing somthing wrong...
Now when ik start the phone i get the Tri Color : (Red, Green, Blue Screen)
I did a hard reset en now the phone shows the boot screen (Stylez)
When i take the batterij off and put it in after 20 secs again or the tri color or the boot screen is loading or the screen is black.....
Please don't say that i can trow him into the trash...
All you have described there is normal. Now just follow the noobs guide to flashing in the sticky and do everything it says word for word. If the usb method doesnt work then use the sd card way.

Sorry but i want to be shure, you mean this topic?
And if so, how do i load the rom?
Because the phone is not starting up normal,...
If you want i can make screenshots from the pc and make images so you can see?
Sorry for this noob questions....
Yes that is the thread I meant. So did you follow all that was said to do in the link about kaiser stuck at tri colour screen bootloader?
Ok, tryed but with the boot screen and with the Tri Color screen i can not make any USB connection with MTTY, when i start the kaiser with the camera button and with the powerbuton i can connect (USB is also an option (COM1 and COM2 also)).
But is this a correct move?
*contacted user via MSN*
Also tried several steps using the SD card but the phone will still hang into the tri-colour. It says loading, but won't reboot or do anything else.
Suggestions are still open.
FYI: It's a branded phone and wasn't CID-unlocked before. (Still not AFAIK)
I am following soopahman's rooting instructions for the Evo Shift 2.3.3 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21262800&postcount=92 ), and I am up to the part where you input this into the command prompt: fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-3.2.0.1-speedy.img
The FAILED message reads: (remote: signature verify fail)
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but when I enter the original HBOOT section, and it tries to load things it tells me the following:
PG06diag.zip
No image!
PG06diag.nbh
No image or wrong image!
PG06img.zip
No image!
PG06img.nbh
No image or wrong image!
Does anyone have any idea what the problem I am having might be? I should probably add that I am a complete and total n00b at this, and have never attempted rooting until now. Unfortunately I updated to 2.3 before I realized what I was missing out on, and now my job is that much more complicated as I understand it...
Much thanks for any help!
Dan
Hi Dan,
I suggest you read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357157
and this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459873
And read them entirely. That should help.
Dan
Thanks for the suggestion!
I'm curious though, before what step should I be backing up my phone? I see that the two options you suggested require root, so will my info/files be safe if I root?

Before every step.
Hey thanks so much for your guide. There were some parts that were confusing for me, especially about knowing when to mount as disc and when to use charge only mode, but I figured it out eventually and I'm loving my newly rooted phone with its brand spankin' new rom!

Dont Cry , all is not that bad at all, why not try getting a RUU for the HOX, providing you relock the boot loader and everything you should beable to restore it
