thx for post !

Try the following command over adb:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
(or in terminal emulator on the phone itself, removing the "adb" part of the command).
From there, you should be able to see if your bootloader is locked. Maybe there is a custom recovery out there somewhere for your phone, which you could possibly flash if your bootloader is unlocked. From there you should be able to flash a custom ZIP to root the phone.

Over terminal sais: "reboot: Operation not permitted"
adb reboot bootloader over PC, it just restarts the phone...
;(

Well, I'm afraid I'm out of ideas then. Is there an earlier version of Android available for the phone? If so, anyway of downgrading to it and rooting there?

well thanks m8 for ideas But the first try I made was downgrading it to 2.3.5, I find the tutorial on some chinese forum... but PHONE freeze and I get a new one over the warranty
WHERE IS MY HERO WITH THE SOLUTION !! WHEREEEE pleaseeeee Im crying here ;(

Is it simlocked by a provider?
I had a GT540 once, and google removed stuff from hidden menu, and permissions needed to root.
So I know this problem, and I didn't manage to solve it.
Sorry!

Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895545
you probably don't have the proper drivers setup.
What kind of error is it giving? You know you don't have to do the oem unlock anymore to root right?

[Q] Help with Att Fusion 2 Aka Huawei U8665

Alright I bought this phone for the simple fact that it is an update from the u8652. I tried superoneclick and unlock root. I cant get this phone to root at all. Unlock root gives me an error that shell root failed. Superoneclick says it cant get permission and it cant remount the device. Im lost . Anyone with any advice please feel free.
I'm having the same issue. I tried gingerbreak and z4root and had no luck. I can't find anything about it online
I can help.
Look download and install unlockroot on your pc unlockroot.com and put phone in debug mode settings-application-development and enable debugging and the click root and see if it works! Can it play temple run?

I tried that, but it said it failed to get shell root. A lot of the Huawei devices are supported, but I didn't see any of them that had 2.3.6.
Hopefully someone will figure something out. I bought this as a spare phone, and it would be great to get rid of all the bloatware and rev it up a little bit.
Yes, I am having the very same problem. I have tried ZRoot, Ginger Break, Unlock Root, just to name a few. Still no luck. Please help.

Try this.
Try using this method for the Fusion 1 but don't install any Fusion/Sonic roms because the CPU on the Fusion 2 is faster and it will cause malfunctioning. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494843 :good:

Ok sorry let me start off by apologizing I was using the wrong version of Super One Click.
List of everything I am/have done so that maybe you can pinpoint anything I may be missing or doing wrong:
Installed Android SDK
Installed Java SE DEV KIT 7 update 9
Installed SuperOneClick 2.3.3
Made sure SD card is unmounted
Put phone in USB debugging mode
Turned on Log Switch
Set Log Setting to Verbose
Rebooted phone
Run SuperOneClick 2.3.3
Then I get stuck at step 7 Program stops responding
Hope you might have a clue what to do from here and thanks for your help either way. I tried to send a screenshot but it won't let me post links yet. If you need one send me a email same screen name at gmail

OMG! I totally messed it up... [:'(] can anyboby please help me??

i am using HCL me G1 Tab (Android 4.0.4 ), Kernel: 3.0.8+.Recovery System 4[3e]. this is my 1st android device, bought it 1 week ago. I am new in Android World.....
I installed Superuser.apk (v3.1.3) [using normal apk installation method]..... Then I got root access in FX File explorer and Titanium backup... Today I found another SUPERUSER.zip (v3.2 signed)..
I tried to flash it from recovery but didn't work... So I just extracted zip files in following folders and replaced the previous ones:
1st mistake, i just copied superuser.apk to /system/app folder [using FX explorer]
2nd, replaced 'su' in /system/bin with the new one.
3rd, copied contents from xbin folder to /system/xbin
Done! and now Superuser not working......
Now u guys can feel what i've done.... just messed up every thing.. Superuser.apk has become a system app, so i can't remove it.. can't delete it because I lost root access in FX explorer. su command not working, because doesn't have permissions... Titanium backup not working... etc.. :crying:
i have some other problems [before all these happened]... after installing andriod sdk and adb drivers, adb commands don't find my device. so i can,t push 'su' again into device.. SuperOneClick stop responding after *daemon started successfully*....
can't install SuperUser in recovery mode.. coz i always get the error:
-- Install /mnt/external_sd ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Can anybody please help me??? I know its my mistake but still i hope for some help from u guys... Please tell me what to do now [when nothing is working]....
thanks in advance..

Can you just re-flash your ROM ? I can't promise you it will work, but if you just clear caches and /system, then you shouldn't lose anything on the internal memory and can start over.

Its pretty simple, just reflash ur phone or simply try to restore it, every android device has an emergency downlod mode, if u can figure out urs, u can simply connect your phone to the pc in edm and input ur imei code or serial number, and abt 45 mins on a 150kB/s speed you will have your device back to normal

[Q] Nexus 5 No OS installed!

Hey,
So I think I deleted everything from my phone. I can get to the TWRM screen and play around there, but when I want to restart my phone, it says,' NO OS installaed!'
When I go to restart it, I'm just stuck at the google screen.
I cant transfer a custom rom to my phone because my phone isn't in a state where I can put transfer filed to my phone.
Please help ASAP!
Two options:
1) Adb push a ROM in custom recovery.
2) Flash the factory image with fastboot in the bootloader.

Massive contradiction in terms - you can't use adb commands in fastboot, you use fastboot commands in fastboot

Ay yay yay, I hear kittens dying.
This is a perfect example of why toolkits aren't beneficial to new users. If the OP had rooted manually, he'd be familiar with both fastboot and adb, and would be able to solve this issue easily.
Toolkits should only be used by experienced users, in order to save time... NOT as a pacifier for the uninitiated. :-\

@mmavani,
Despite my obvious bemusement, I'm going to try to help out... First, check here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507905
Also, do a Google search on adb and fastboot, and find out what they do, and why you need to be familiar with them. If you research, read , and understand the information, then you should have no problem doing this - adb push "romxyz.zip" /sdcard/download.
If you can't (or don't want to) take time to educate yourself about unlocking, rooting, and flashing, then you need to reconsider whether you have any business being rooted.

ADB / Fastboot / Driver problem

Hey guys,
I am pretty new to the rooting stuff on the Nexus.
I read the sticky threat from rootSU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...urce-guides-info-threads-linked-read-t2784527) and followed his description. So I installed ADB and fastboot through the "15 sec. installer" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979).
So fast so good, everything went fine. But as I tried to "check" if ADB and fastboot are recognizing my device with the command "adb devices" and "fastboot devices" in cmd, I got some strange output (look at the picture).
How can it be that ADB "sees" my device and fastboot not? What I did wrong there?
(I didn't installed the drivers with the 15 sec tool; when I plugged in my device to the computer, it downloaded the drivers itself)
Any help would be very appreciated!
Follow the next step on my thread and install the naked drivers
Okay thank you!
I'll try it tonight and report back.
I also thought of a problem with the drivers, but I thought that I messed up with installing ADB and fastboot somehow, because ADB could recognize my device.
One question again: When I uninstall the Nexus 5 drivers and I reconnect my phone to the pc, it download the driver itself.. How can I stop that to install the naked drivers?

Damn, thats it! I am so dumb! I don't know how I could forget that.. I read it some hours ago.

Thanks a lot guys, now I can go to the next step to root my device! =)

@rootSU has posted some new guides on rooting Lollipop, so best read his threads in the General section
To root Lollipop you have to use Chainfire Auto Root. There is extra security in Lollipop that keeps the old root method from KitKat from working.
Oh I see..thats annoying. But thank you for your answers! I guess I'll read those threads. =)
Btw.. Can you guys tell me if I understood everything..:
To go back to the official 4.4.4., I don't have to root my device, right? I "only" have to unlock my bootloader and flash the official factory image through fastboot. And afterwards I could root my device using the guides around here on xda.
