Hi guys, i'm using an app called kainy which streams my pc screen live to my o3d. i use tridef 3d on my pc and i play 3d games on vertical interlaced mode and kainy streams vertical interlaced video to my o3d but now i need a way to activate the 3d (parallax barrier) on the phone with some kind of shorcut, long press the search button or something like that. In short i need an app or script which toggles the parallax barrier on the phone. Does anyone know how to do that?

This is an easy way for people to map onlive buttons to the xperia plays gamepad for use with Hatcyl's onlive helper app see this thread for more details on his app and link to download.

I Have made a generic onlive profile to be used with onlive helper app for full control of the onlive menu without having to touch the screen at all plus you can set lots of games to it for better all round use of onlive. This can be used for touchscreen supported or keyboard supported onlive games.
1.Easy messaging - It also enables you to chat with messages a bit like a ps3 instead of trying to type out on the tiny onscreen keyboard (Highlight the letter with the d-pad, x button to select your choice, circle to delete last choice and triangle for space bar).
2.Games - You can use this profile with any game that lets you change the ingame controll config to your own choices (e.g works with mx vs atv reflex, dirt3 plus finding more all the time ) each game you change settings in, the onlive game will save the customized config profile for any future play so only have to set them up 1 time.
3.onlive menu button config-
start - play game
select - toggle favorites
menu - sort games menu
circle - delete and back button in some game menus
square - only works for game mapping
triangle - space bar
cross - enter or select (menus and ingame)
back button - back in all menus
these 4 below all normal for easy selections in onlive menu and in game menus plus wont normally have to change them on ingame configs
up - up
down - down
left - left
right - right
left / right shoulders just a and b for mapping in games do nothing in menus at mo.
any of these hardware buttons (not back button) can be mapped to buttons in game if the game gives you the choice.
4.mouse - the mouse will be turned on in games that are not yet offically touchscreen supported.
any game that uses the mouse (which is emulated onscreen by onlive) change the mouse sensitivity and other mouse options (normally sliders) on the ingame settings to as low as you can go but without turning them off completely for a useable mouse
(eg tried this with homefront used the touchscreen for looking around and aiming and the d-pad for moving and strafe and it was playable)
Tip for certain games - if the hardware buttons do not work on the ingame menus use the touchscreen like your playing an android game just try pressing on the onscreen options it will act like your clicking mouse button on the option given.
could do this with more games too.
5.list of games i have mapped- using this profile
mx vs atv reflex - buttons can be mapped
homefront - use the touchscreen to look and aim (turn mouse sensitivity down as far as can go before you shut it off completely) you will also need to map the right click on a mouse to something like sprint should come up lmb as choice if done, or when you touch screen it will pause. map aim down site's to L1 and fire R1 and you have it playable other buttons can be mapped also.
saint row 2 -buttons can be mapped and you can use the touchscreen to move the cam (turn mouse sensitivity down as far as can go before you shut it off completely) this also mite work for the 3rd to.
alarm for cobra 11 nitro - buttons can be mapped
Dirt 3 - buttons can be mapped
Flatout 2 - buttons can be mapped
virtua tennis 2009 - buttons can be mapped
Gear Grinder - buttons can be mapped
and finding more work as well.
not sure if this will help in anyone but its good for an all rounder profile and a easyer way then finding out all the codes for diff games
or buying other apps to do different jobs.
add the file attached to
/sdcard/Android/data/com.hatcyl.android.OnLiveHelper/files
it will then become a profile selectable in the onlive helper app.

yes go into the games own controller config and if the game will let you change the controls to which button on the pad you want when you have done that it will save and the next time you go into the game it will be ready for you to play again and again.

So I'm not sure how to do this. I started batman arkum asylum and went to controls but there was nothing to edit. Said keyboard onlive under controls but I couldn't edit them. Controls worked through the menus and I could move batman using the direction keys but couldn't map the other controls or edit and the.screen sensitivity was horrible to use to look around.
Your help would be.appreciated

Have tried to map batman but the game does not have the settings you can use onlive helper and make your own profile the screen works as the camera views but would be able to map the rest to the plays pad.

Oh ok yeah I have to learn how to map with onlive helper yacht tried it yet. Screen does work but it's waaaaay to sensitive so it really spent work well.

There are tons of apps out there that can turn xperia play as a pc gamepad but they take no advantage of the dual analogs.Now if a cool developer can create an app or modify a current one to let us use the touchpas it would be awesome.!!! I mean imagine using left touchpad for movement in an fps game, and right touchpad for camera movement with an option to adjust sensitivity.I am currently using app.pcon by Noire since it is easy to set up although it lacks the touchpads which are needed in every single 3d game.I played Darksouls with my play as controller although i found it hard to move with arrows and eventually i couldnt map every button i needed since all four dpad buttons were used as a movement option.Thank you for your time.If i could develop i would it myself for every xperia play owner but i lack the skills required::fingers-crossed:

You have 2 solutions Friend!
1) Install the application Kainy, use PC mode controller. And with gamekeyboard emulate analog like the mouse to control the camera in some games.
2) Install a Rom Android 4.0 or higher, and with the application USB / BT Joystick Center (which is better than gamekeyboard) and use the analog and mouse, and configure other keys to your liking.

So there is no app i can use directly to emulate and map analogs on play?Altough i think it can be done somehow...
Maybe it can be done with Droidmote but i have a hard time installing drivers and it is getting very messy

eh read that has some bugs, but it's pretty configurable within everything. And it depends on the PC and Internet speed you have, and you wear rom installed. For applications Gamekeyboard Kainy & USB BT Joystick Center or go smoother.
I have a 10 mb connection & a PC (Intel Quad Core i7 3770, AMD graphics card Radeon HD 6850 1GB DDR5, and 8 gigs of ram and GTA 4 is playable on my Xplay as gods.
For PS2 games on PC emulator. Kainy + USB / BT Joystick Center is excellent. Eh I did not tested yet, but I saw this video:

Can someone try to make an app to enable games to be played in side by side stereoscopic 3d,You see 3d mode in some phomes os,but phones without need it for using games with google cardboard,it's a must,you would be able to play 3d games with wireless controller on cardboard then.Maybe mutilating amother app like lg's 3d paralax app could help?
hey guys i was wondering, i gone to mediamarkt to check out the vr gear but somehow it don't please me since it only show movies in cinema, is there a way to get it full screen ?
You don't need to sue an app. just play it in any video player and use your headset.
If its a normal video (not 3d) you're going to have to find an app. I cant remember which one I used to use, but it played them in full screen.

I do not understand what you are trying to achieve. There is few different kind of films:
2d, 3d, 180°, 360°
You want get full screen in sphere for 2d films which is pretty logical. If you want to have full screen in sphere which you are inside of using any VR you are talking about 360°
There is not to many 360° movies but if you look for them you will find few.
Assassin Creed trailer was awesome as I remember well.
Still if you want to watch for any movie without Cinema scenery there is few players (cardboard apps) and best option imho for watching movies on VR VrLauncher
