Hi everyone,
sorry if this question has already been posted elsewhere...
I've tried most of the sense 4 ROMs which came out so far for our beloved Desire S, and noticed that some mention "Full Sense 4" (Cooldroid) while others developers say they use "Sense 4 light version"... (Fallout, Primo-S).
I've tried both, but apart from weather lockscreen (featured on "full" sense 4 and not on light version) I haven't noticed any visible difference...
Can someone post a list of the features in full sense that sense 4.0A does not have? Will they be ported progressively in sense 4.0 roms?
Thanks for your help!
Full Sense 4 has some additional animations, widgets and UI and lockscreen options.
To port it it is necessary to resize a lot of images which at this point cannot be done fully due to lack of functional tools.
But these tools are in development right now and I am sure that soon there will be a lot of Sense 4 ports.
Sent from my HTC Desire S
so.. they are the same in functionality except some animations?

No. That is only part of it - I'm quite sure that amidabuddha explained it clearly enough mate.
I've tested both, and full sense 4 has some additional things, but these full sense 4 roms have more bugs than sense 4 lite.
animations, widgets and the lockscreen options are the differences

Moving to Q&A
Hi! Sorry for posting in the wrong section - and thanks for moving the thread !
Thanks for your your answers. I investigated a bit further and the most interesting features from full sense 4 are the lockscreen options (to me at least). Eagerly waiting for some of these features in current sense 4 "lite" versions!

May be a noobish question but ive searched and searched and couldnt find anything.
Is there a rom already made or one in development with the HTC Sense instead of manilla?
Thanks for the help
HTC Sense is for Android, not Windows Mobile.
Sorry.
Not a true statement. Here is the link http://www.htc.com/uk/press.aspx?id=111998&lang=1033
i think porting SENSE UI to VGA and non capacitive devices like the raphael would be VERY difficult.
the HD2 or Leo is a whole different animal. porting the HD2's Manila has been done. but porting HD2's SenseUI would be quite a project.

Sorry, I hadn't realised they're now referring to the new HD2 version of Manilla as HTC Sense. I assumed what was being requested was the Android HTC Sense UI on Windows Mobile. From what I can see, HTC Sense for Windows Mobile (on the HD2) looks (from the videos) to be Manilla 2.5. If I'm wrong in this, please ignore me
To get the Windows Mobile Version of HTC Sense UI is also known as Manilla 2.5. Currently, Manilla 2.5 is only fully functional on wvga phones.
But worry not. Manilla 2.5 is in development for vga devices, and is near perfect.

that is a link to a ROM with Manilla 2.5, same UI as the HTC HD2(HTC Leo)
If you want an authentic, Android Sense UI, you might want to do a search for Android on Diamond, should be the first result. Its not fully functional, so the Manilla 2.5 ROM is your best bet.
I loved using that Manilla 2.5, I had to move away from that ROM because the chef was using winmo 6.5 buld 23017, which I really did not like compared to the newer builds.
are there any mods for the clocks for the sense 3.0? I would like just a flat black one... Just wondering where I could find some .zip's of them...
This thread has a lot of custom sense 2, sense 3.0, flip, & non-flip clocks from stoney666. Read carefully so you know exactly what you are downloading though
Hey everyone i was just wondering was any1 planning on making a sense 4.0 launcher for android devices....not talking about roms thats something i really dont do but yea and can some1 post .apk files that make an htc sense 3.0 device look like a sense 4.0 device. I already have the weather clock and have pheonix launcher installed but does a little lag so yea. Plz and Thx You

Unfortunately, a launcher would probably be harder to come by compared to a ROM.
Hello Comrades,
I'll cut to the chase, I do not like the interface HTC SENSE, I think the theme and the menu interface and much more beautiful and practical.
So how do I eliminate the root HTC SENSE and colcocar original Android 4.0 without the formation green that brings HTC default.
Have you researched a lot about this, and knew that I must install a modified ROM to eliminate the sense of time and place the android 4.0 source.
But the ROM which I use for my desire S?
I appreciate all the help, and sorry if I'm making spam!, But I'm new and have read the rules as such.
Thank you.

There's no way you can remove sense without rooting.. it's too deeply integrated with the OS.. The only practical way is to root and install custom ROM.. I recommend the balele ROM or IceColdSandwich if you want stock ICS.. and Codename if you want 4.1..
Or, if you're only bothered by the look of the UI (the home screens and app drawer) then just install custom launcher.. Apex and Nova would be your best bet.. available in the Play Store..
Thanks for your response!
I'm more inclined to change the interface without make root the phone. I'm still new to the world of android, htc desire s bought (used) a little time for 120 €.
By the way, what you advise the prime New laucher? or Apex launcher pro?
Thank you!
Nova or apex, but it's a personal choice for everyone here. Those are the main two used though
I am going to call my kids Ctrl, Alt and Delete. Then if they muck up I will just hit them all at once.

You can try both free versions and decide which one you like best.
Hey guys i recently noticed that the flip clock of sense 4 roms don't flip at all which is really annoying.....
Does anyone know where to find a clock widget that actually flips for sense 4.....
I tried scooping up the desire c forum but no luck.....
Thanks in advance
Well, i too noticed it when you said so. The flip never bothered me... anyways a fix will be great!
because we don't have Full Sense yet ...actually that Sense 4.0a rom which was posted is just a light version of it ...so it doesn't have all animations and effects .!!
But what i asked for is that whether anyone have made a clock which flips for our pico.......
Or are there any other mdpi devices with flipping clock....afaik pico and golfu are the only mdpi devices....
