Anyone get this a lot when they dl directly from your nexus? This never happened in gb. I experience this on other ICS ROMs as well so this might be an ics thing. Anyone have a fix? It's pissing me off it happens almost every time.

Then try again, its a bug in ICS, has been there for us since we first got it

If your downloading using stock ics browser just hit settings and check "request desktop site"

Well it seems like my browser on my phone is being a pain in the ass. Every time I download something it will download to 100% then all the sudden it says download unsuccessful. It does it every time no matter what site im downloading from.
I'm using cm7 rc1 and 1.2.4 bfs netarchy kernel. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? Maybe I just need to do a fresh wipe.

I am completely stock running 2.3.2 (waiting on the update)...
i get that sometimes as well what u normally do is go to the downloads app in the drawer and delete everything i downloaded already when i do that it normally works for me.
Anybody want to help with this download unsuccessful situation?

I had this problem beginning with 2.3.2 and ending in 2.3.3. Never could explain it but themselves update fixed it for me

I have a fix for the lagginess in builds from the past week and a half or so. The culprit is the surface flinger library. It is the android compositing system and some changes recently made to it are responsible for the significant lag in recent builds. Most noticeable spot is if you hit the home button if you have the notification drawer down. It becomes extremely laggy without this patch. Scrolling is also less smooth whenever multiple things on the screen are being drawn. This fixes all those issues.
Just flash this in cwm or whatever recovery you choose. Should work on all cm10 builds and cm10 based roms like paranoid android.

Oh OK. Seems that siii may have some device specific fixes then. One more tester on paranoid would be appreciated though. Also can someone try it on cm10. I wonder if kexec or the locked boot loader makes a difference for people who haven't unlocked.

i believe the reason it worked on your GNex and Nexus 7 is because they are so similar.
Truthfully i haven't expericend lag just really bad screen flicker on paranoid, but i was like LAG FIX nice dont need it but i want it fixed hahah.. Naw i dont mind testing something.

Lol not really. Tegra 3 and omap 4460. They do both run aosp stock though. I can doing what I did on the galaxy nexus ROM to the cm10 for siii.

I am using this rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885878 Everytime I turn on my tablet I get a weird screen with lots of different colored lines. I have a picture and a video of it. Hopefully I can upload both, but if not you will be able to see what it is doing in the picture. Does anyone have any thoughts on to what may have caused this? And if so, maybe somethings to try and fix it? It just really bothers me and makes me wonder if I have a defective tablet..

That doesn't look normal. I recommend you flash back to stock Android 4.0 in Odin and down load all updates it needs. The offficial rom should be getting Jelly Bean soon, probably this month.

I would say, make sure you have the last Recovery, but I have not used the Rom you are flashing though, so it could be the ROM. I would say...try to flash another ROM like AOKP and see if still is an issue. If it is I am going to say it has something to do with the Tablet or something went wrong in rooting or flashing.

It is normal for the pre-released stock Samsung JB ROM or variants of this ROM (RomsWell). Sheez.

All the apps work perfectly (on AOKP JB M1), but it keeps optimizing on every reboot. Given that I don't reboot 10 times a day, it's something I can deal with, but...

It works fine for me. The UI is a bit different, so it took a while to figure it out. But it works. Took two panos. It also takes a while to stich, but it does that in the background, so...

Update on this: The optimizing thing only lasted a couple of times. Now the phone boots up straight like normal! However, Google Now hasn't worked from the start. It keeps saying "location service is off" when it's not. I've used Google Now all the time before on CM10 as well as stock JB. Something is broken here...
Any chance this package will be updated to official (not leaked)? The camera app has a few new improvements today.

Hello all, currently I'm running cm7 rom. I've been on this rom for a while now and want to try something new. My kernel is imsoyen(so?) 5.1.0aosp. Both my radios end in 906w I believe.
The rom I want to try is -NuSenseROM-ICS-Sense-3-6-XLoud-Beta-
It's been a while since I flashed a rom but I'm pretty sure I remember. But don't I need to switch radios for this to work? If so what order do I need to flash, rom then radio, right?

No you don't have to switch radios. It is suggested to use a certain radio but they are different for everyone so if the radios you are currently using work fine then keep using them.

We don't have ics kernel source so there aren't any custom kernels yet. Until we get an official ics release we won't have any custom ics kernels because HTC won't release source code without an official release.

If I'm not mistaking, I am pretty sure the install flashes a new kernel to it anyways.
Just make a backup to be safe.
Santod also has UnSense that's based off of NuSense... the difference, of course, is one is sense and one is mostly without sense.

No imoseyon is a custom kernel made for gingerbread roms. Nusense is ice cream sandwich. There are no custom kernels for ics.

Your kernels are included in the ROM and flashed automatically when you install the ROM. As of now there are no custom roms for ICS and IMO said long ago he wouldn't even try to make one as he has moved on to I think the gnex. I know twisted has been messing with a custom kernel for awhile on his aosp ROM.

I'm running InfectedROM Eternity 8.4.
I was running UnSense until the text kept scribbling up on me... but its a great ROM.
From what I understand, though, Santod is working on an update that may fix this issue and more. I just hate that he is going back to more sense things, but really, its for the better of this ROM. I hope he keeps the AOSP look going though. I highly recommend you to try UnSense if you're wanting to flash ICS.
Otherwise, if you want a good gingerbread ROM, I highly recommend InfectedROM Eternity 8.4.

You'll have to turn mobile networks on. It is turned off by default.

Ok tried NuSenseROM again. It seems like it would be a nice rom. It's just too laggy and finicky for me. I got force closes a lot to. So now I'm back on cm7. Question though. My current radios are 906w (5th gb leak) what can I upgrade to that's compatible with cm7? Keep the ICS radios? I ask cuz I saw my 4g working on cm7 using the ICS leaked radios

Installing NuSenseROM without following the install guide will yield you force closes.
I'm guessing you neglected to format in ext3 as stated in the Op.
Not at all trying to get anyone to try it again.
It just bugs me whenever I see someone talking about any rom's issues, when it's likely something they did.
Enjoy your CM7 or whatever your preference is.
I'm not trying to change your mind, just letting you know that you most likely did not install it as instructed, or you would not be having force closes.

Did you install those from the market or did you try to restore them from a backup? I ask because you may be trying to restore an app made for gb and it doesn't work correctly without a fresh install from the market.
