Led Notification Light - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey guys,
This isn't a big issue but something that has bugged me a little. There is a notification light in the speaker grille of the one x. It's green when any custom notification and red when low battery
Now when I use whatsapp there is an option to configure the led light colors to any other than green. But it doesn't work. Jus always green. Bay ideas why?

[Q] Different Colored LED's?

When I first purchased my Inspire it was about 4 weeks ago I had a flashing orange LED indicator to tell me when I had received a message(charge was also orange). Considering I had to replace that old one because of a couple stuck pixels I noticed my "new" one flashes a green LED when I receive messages.
Is HTC shipping Inspires with different LED's or am I just going crazy? lol

Are you sure it was flashing Orange?
I've never seen the led on my phone flash Orange.
Just solid Orange when charging, solid green when charged, and blinking green for notifications.

With CM7 nightly 79 my notification LED color is orange. I haven't bothered to change it back to green.

I have noticed that cm7 roms flash orange for notifications meanwhile sense and miui flash green for notifications (except of course during charging and low battery in those cases they are the same between the roms). I haven't really found an explanation for the differences but something I've noticed throughout my flashing voyages lol
Thanks for clearing it up for me guys...i never really payed attention to the color of my led, so I was not sure...

Does anyone know how to change the LED light colour on the One XL? I tried lightflow and using Go SMS but neither worked
i think you have to be rooted for lightflow to work, but i am not 100% sure. i think i read that in this forum
Even then im pretty sure there are only two colors, green and red

LED flash notifications

Hello All,
Looking to use the phone's LED flash, as a notification... text messages for example.
any suggestions?
Not to sound like a super **** but: have you tried Google Play? I think there's apps that do that

why? that would kill battery like crazy, not to mention it would heat up the led bulb to the touch.
Try light flow on the market. They have a lite version but you may have to be rooted. I don't have time to try it right now but should work. As for heating the led that's not even a concern.

Lightflow does allow for led use. Ive used in the past with the hox.

if i wanna use my phones LED to cook meth, who cares... while i can see the LED using a lot power -im only looking for a couple fast blinks when a text is delivered, thought this was a native function within CM9/10, but thats not the case.
Oh what I'd do for a multi-color LED like the original nexus
+1 for light flow. Go sms also lets you set the notification light. The HOX displays green orange and red.
LEDs don't produce heat

Large ones most certainly do. Like the ceiling light ones all have heatsinks.

Shall I assume HTC is still only offering Green and Amber on the 11''s notification lights?
