Noise canceler for any headphones?? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have sennheiser noise canceling headphones and love the music quality with them...just not a fan of the overhead type of headphones...Im more a fan of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHS37...rchangeable/dp/B000QS5MM2/ref=pd_rhf_ee_shvl2
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Adjustable-Headphones-SHS4700-28/dp/B003DKL57G/ref=pd_sim_e_4
And I have a pair of these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B003CJTR8M/ref=dp_otherviews_0?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&img=0
But none of these are noise canceling. Which got me thinking that surely there is a noise canceler that is separate from the headphones allowing you to plug some other headphones into the canceler. The problem is I havent found anything like that. I have dont audio wire hack/splicing before but I dont want to necessarily hack up the sennheisers.
Anyone know of anything that exists like this?

Useless headphones that are included

I'm finding the headphones included with the Samsung Galaxy S to be pretty useless. They do not stay in my ears and was wondering if anyone else had this problem? Could just be me with dodgy shaped ears but I've never had a problem with any other in-ear headphones. The build quality, sound quality and other aspects of the headphone seem great (although the in line controls seem very limited) so it's a shame that they don't stay in my ears.
If anyone knows of a good 3rd party alternative (possibly even a Bluetooth stereo set) then do reply back with details.
TIA
The earphones seem fine to me, the rubber bits are a little bigger than what im used to with inear earphones (normally i go with the small ones). However i find them to be fine for me, and the sound quality is great.
I am using another headphone instead of supplied one. Anyway original one can answer calls but can't control volume / music player etc. so a little disappointed and now looking for Stereo Bluetooth headset.
Buy a pack of Sennheiser in-ear replacement rubber thingo's. They go for around $5. Fits perfectly. Apart from that, the originals sound like crap but are good as freebies.

It's not just you. They pop out of my ears as well - very irritating indeed. I don't use the headphones often, but when I do I just use my iPhone or PSP ones (for listening to music, not calls etc).
/PS: Not sure if these work as an antenna for the FM radio thingy though...
Have you ever tried apple headphones worst I've ever tried doesn't fit well and you can hear everything around you for a device that you paid more than any other ..... Those are useless not the SGS ones that are good in-ear and they stay in my ears but yes I regret a bit that they don't have a previous-next song like the apple one (only good thing about those)

Also looking for alternatives.

I think it's your ears m8. Mine fit great.
I would've liked to have a clip to clip to my clothes so they dont fall off but..
Yea sound quality is very good aswell!
For those looking for BT stereo headphones, I've been using the Plantronics/Altec Lansing Backbeat 903's for almost a year now, and I love 'em. I honestly haven't tried them with the SGS, but they've worked beautifully with every phone, pc, and ps3 I've paired them with.
I've found something like that: I can't post outside links
well it's AIAIAI TRACKS HEADSET those are hedphones with mic.
I bought Thomson ultra comfort HED17 ear pads and now stoc earbuds don't fall off.

Only thing about the 903, dont use them for workouts if your sweating... I did, and they broke down in 2 days ....
Personaly I'm looking for 1 ear solutions that also can receive media output from SGS.
Maybe u'd like Jabra Stone.
Personally I am using a Samsung 3.5mm adapter, that has a multifunctional button (play/pause/take or end call) into which i plug my bang&olufsen earphones.. it's working great and the good part is that you can use whatever earphones you like
edit:
oh also i think the original sgs headphones suck donkeyballs... the sound quality is bad, it's inear (which is pretty unhygenic/unhealthy), cable is about 20cm too short for someone like me, the rubber things are not very firmly attached and i almost lost them like 10 times in 2 weeks..
thats why i threw away those things and got myself some nice headphones+that extension cord/remote control/whatever thingy
how do you find SQ compared to an iPhone?
My SGS is practical unlistenable with good stereo headphones due to strong hiss in the background, especially when you pause a track, its less noticable on stock headphones,
I thought it was a general issue, but probably its only me phone/firmware..
Just bought Motorola HT-820 Stereo Bluetooth headset for 28$. Sound quality is average but full control over music player. Play/pause, next, fw, vol +- and telephone conversations. Great for outside during cold days.
fAtaXe, i'm looking for that kind of adaptar, which one is yours?
think the stock samsung headphones are very disappointing in terms of fit in the ear. It seems they have only catered for an 'average' ear size.
I would have prefered ipod style headphones with a mic...i wear the samsungs and they just fall out embarrassingly when using them for hands free conversations.
I am currently using my old nokia 5800 headphones and mic although the mic isn't as sensitive enough so callers cant hear me as loud as they would like to.
Would generic ones work with this phone?
I'm just trying the phone with my Sennheiser HD 650,
to my surprise they rock, though are 300ohm headphones,
Galaxy s deserve some respect in HP amplifie area..

Skull Candy Mic'd

I am looking at a set of Skull Candy Mic'd headsets, with mic of course for my I9000M. However, when I plugged them in to try them, I seem to have only gotten 1 track of audio and no headset control to start or pause music.
I have not been able to see if the mic works in call or not however that is a moot point if they dont work for music.
Any way to change settings to accommodate these earbuds or a good decent set of inline mic headphones that do work with the SGS? I keep seeing posts about a nokia headset, but I have no idea how I would get them or if the quality is any good.
The Skull candy's fit freaking amazingly tho so it would be great if I could get these ones to work somehow.
My roommate (who has SGS also) bought Wooden Skull Candy's headsets with mic, but they didn't work properly (sound was horrible - like randomly some channels were muting), the sound was only normal if you pressed the button on the wire and kept it pressed, so be careful buying those, definitely try them before buying.
He changed them for those without mic, which work okay.
I think it has to do with pin arrangement on the 3,5 jack on SGS (think it's the same as Nokia's).
edit: dammit I didn't read well, you bought them already
Most headphones with mics are wired for the iPhone 3.5mm plug, which is slightly different from the SGS and Nokia plugs. You need to find an adapter, either standalone or with some headphones. I got mine as part of my set of UrbanEars Medis (quite good headphones, even more so when you consider the price of a standalone adapter).

[Q] Headphone jack

As HTC provide the worse headphones ever, I thought I'd try my Samsung ones instead. They are also 4 pin, like the HTC ones, however they don't work properly, there is a weird echoy effect on vocals and bass seams almost non-existent.
Anyone know what's going on here? Is it the socket or the headphones?
I obviously need to buy some new headphones, will I have problems with non HTC headphones?

I have never used the HTC headphones - I just use a set of Sony earphones with a standard stereo jack and they work fine (although obviously no inline mic/controls)
I use apple headphones on my desire. They sound perfect and the middle button along with the microphone are working. Probably they have used a similar jack on the Sensation so if you can get some apple headphones, try it.
Sounds like it'll be ok then, thanks!

Care to comment on how it sounds?
I highly recommend these, which I used as replacement headphones on my HTC Desire, and which work perfectly on my HTC Sensation.
They won the What Hi-Fi "Headphones under £50" award in 2010, and sound excellent. One word of warning, though, if you pay anything less than £30 (particularly around the £12 mark on eBay or from Amazon Marketplace sellers) then they are fakes.

Turns out that the issue was the old Samsung SGS headphones, they only seem to work on the SGS properly.
I pinched my finance's SGS2 headphones and they work fine!

obviously not bothered about sound quality are you??
if you use any earphones provided by phones/mp3 players...then you can't complain about sound quality from the device.
Anything under £100 for earphones or £200 for headphones is bad sound quality.
Also, do you really think a phone provider would supply good quality expensive headphones? that'd just boost the price of the device...Seeing an ipod user using their white earhones makes me facepalm. They're the cheapest sounding earphones available. might as well just use the speaker whilst it's in your pocket.

This is a whole different topic all together. There are also more factors than just the quality of the headphones which determine audio quality.

Headset

I have noticed for iPhones that if you have a pair of apple earbuds you can use that to hear the caller and move the phone to your mouth as a microphone.
I was wondering if something like that can be done with the SGS4G. I want to be able to use any pair of headphones to listen to the caller, and use the phones mic.
I have seen headsets on ebay/dealextreme, but they are just fixed earbuds and I am not too confident that they have good sound quality. I have had previous phones where you plug your own headphones into a headset jack which then goes to the phone, but I haven't seen anything like that for the SGS4G.
The headphones that came with the phone have the mic

Yeah you can use any pair of headphones(without a Mic) and the phone will automatically use the internal microphone. I do that all the time with the auxiliary input in the car or with my phiaton ms400 headphones

Try Skullcandy Ink'd Mic'd. Not the best looking, but it's great for <$20. Not to mention you get warranty for it once you register it. I'm getting them soon as a backup for my OEM Samsung headset.

What's the matter? You don't like the stock ones that does the same exact thing?

I prefer to use my own pair since:
1) I get ear infections with in-ear earphones. So I must use clip/over-the-ear headphones.
2) My headphones have active noise-cancellation and I would prefer to use those with my phone especially on loud bus rides.
3) I bought my phone used, so all I got as accessories were 2x batteries and a charger.

Oh ok. Then yes any headphone that fits in your phones headphone jack should work and you can use the phones mic.
But if you wanted to have the mic on the wire you can try the Sennheiser PX 200-IIi. It has the outer headphones that you like.
Or you can go with ones without the mic like Beats by Dre or Skullcandy.

Noise canceling earbuds and FM radio

Ok I started to work in environment where i need FM radio and good comfortable noise canceling earbuds. I work for 8-11h with cnc machines that sometimes make loud annoying sound. I would like something from price/quality perspective.
And for the radio I have bad network connection at my work place so i need normal FM radio and my brand new expensive phone don't have FM radio So I'am thinking of buying WM600 or SBH50. Witch ones are more better at noise canceling, fm radio, battery life ? How are the default earbuds? Do they provide good sound and noise cancellation + comfortable ? Because I could buy wm600 and sbh50 without earbuds and buy some good noise canceling earbuds. Or maybe there is small stand alone fm radio like wm600 with good audio quality but cheaper?
To be honest, I'd completely leave the phone out of the equation. Go buy a cheap FM tuner or MP3 player and real nice pair of headphones. As for recommendations for headphones that do noise cancellation I rather like my atomic bass 2 set and they're $27. I actually don't use them while riding my motorcycle anymore because I can't hear the road around me. I wear them when I'm operating a belt sander and I can barely hear. As for an FM tuner, go hit craigslist and find yourself a 4 or 8GB Zune, I'm sure you can find one for like $30
I found that SBH50 has sound isolation / passive noise reduction, the device itself has it? or the earbuds? because i'm thinking of buying them without earbuds for the cheaper price, and take some good comfortable earbuds, all noise canceling earbuds are really expensive and require batteries too so now SBH50 looks like a nice choice.
info: http://versus.com/en/sony-sbh50-vs-sony-mw600-hi-fi-with-fm-radio
Passive noise canceling is basically ear buds that fit snugly enough so you can't hear the outside world. So I would assume that yes you could buy just the device and a better set of ear buds
