I just tried to "check for updates" on my AT&T One X, and to my disbelief it has one! I will let you know when it completes what it changed.
Any others with an update?!

Yup, same as the leak.
Nothing new here, too bad. But not surprising. It seemed there is a pretty good source(s) for the leaked RUUs, so I bet we'll see them here before they go OTA.
True that's always a good.thing lol hope there will be root now

So I tried using the one click method to unlock my boot loader and root my phone and I'm having no luck. Help! Plz

Hi... You should really be more specific , what version of android are you using? As of the new update not all versions can be unlocked anymore ...
Make sure you close sync manager down all the way "EXIT" OUT ... As when I did my cell this had to be done to work

I have android 4.0.4

then you're stuck.
The Root method is only good on firmware version 1.85 android 4.03
Is there anyway I can go back to android 4.0.2?

Negative.
Like I said, you're stuck. At least until a root exploit is found or HTC allows us to unlock the boot loader without hackery.
Well ain't that a *****. Lol

Hi this is my current version. I try to update the firmware thru "AT&T software update" and it just loads and goes back to the software check screen :/ I'm on H2O if that matters...not rooted..no custom Rom..nor unlocked bootloader.

Idk a guy did it in less than 15 minutes...all he did was configure some settings and put in the sim...no unlock code needed since H2O is AT&T..But uh I was going to do this .... http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-x-att/software-updates....it looks like it is the safety way to do it no?

Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Well apparently. Your on firmware 1.85 ...lucky you can root the phone. After you root you supercid it then unlock bootloader, install recovery the download a Rom and your done. Suggest you search for how to root and so on before actually attempting this. I stress this because for any reason your on 2.20 then you wouldn't be able to do this stuff unroll someone finds an exploit for this.

Okay so I am talking to a dev from the Incredible 4g community. We need all the steps to get a fully working exploit. He knows how to get temp root. What do we need to do after a temp root is established?
This is not me developing this is me letting a dev work with my phone. Any negitive feed back is not wanted. If you want to say anything negitive. Please inbox me.

-hexedit CID to 11111111
-follow the s-off exploit
Once you've got s-off, you can change your CID to 22222222 and use htcdev to unlock. After that, it's just a matter of flashing recovery and a rooted rom.

i liked Doug, i just always thought he was more knowledgeable until people started picking on him. he just seems to be acting like he isn't. i do like that he is being proactive about root methods for jb, which is pretty awesome of him. he does make alot of threads though =)

Signal drops on hatkaxl ROM.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
No you shouldn't suffer signal drops on that ROM, they're a symptom of Sense 5 / Android 4.2.2 ROMs with a firmware mismatch, Hatka is Sense 4 and Android 4.1 so it should be fine.
When posting a question or a request for help you really should provide more detail than that. I knew what you were talking about because you also sent me a PM, but it really doesn't make much sense the way it's been worded here.
In response to your other question in the PM, Beastmode Reloaded isn't compatible (it's a 4.2.2 kernel).

Hmm. I'm not sure why you'd be getting signal drops, I've never really seen them reported on the older Sense ROMs. You don't have a mismatch between your firmware and radio.
Sent from my Evita
Hatka is great!! Even if it is an older ROM. Music is incredibly clear at high volumes. I always had problems with this phone's damned SIM card tray. Even on stock. So, I read a post that suggested taping the card to the tray with a minimal amount of tape. She's been flawless ever since. Place card in tray as you normally would. Tape the top side and trim excess. Good to go
PS: if you got a taste for vintage ROMs, check out RebelROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120688

Don't worry about your hboot, it's fine the way it is. Try sticking a piece of tape to the back of your SIM card.
