well i was really impressed by the galaxy nexus but i didn't know it doesn't have micro sd slot n i dun like to be memory limited.
then i thought about the galaxy note but it doesn't have gorilla glass and some ppl r complaining that the screen got scratched so atm am so am w8ing for the galaxy s iii
Next high end 3.5-4" display phone... The ones nowdays are too big..
the next nexus (hopefully built by motorola mobility)
dunno yet, i am totaly pleased with my sgs (only cam sux), but maybe by the end of the year i will get a new phone
no clue which it will be, just know that it wont be an iphone or win7/8 phone
Looking forward for Galaxy S3

Probably sgs 3 when contract runs out at end of year

I find it difficult to decide, when phones are being released weekly, and I'm not out of contract until June. As I have an SGS and the SGSll is a considerable improvement, then providing the SGSlll lives up to it hype, there will be no contest.
my contract finished in december, and I couldnt decide if i wanted the s2 on a short 18month contract, and get the s3 or wait for the s3! Ended up deciding to wait for the S3. Would have gone for the galaxy nexus, but the lack of micro SD was a bit of a kick in the teeth!
As I'm not rich I'll just buy a new phone when this one breaks. I'm not into futurology so I don't know when that will happen (hope in a long long time) so neither what phones will be selling at that time. It will be something with Android though.
Like my signature says (already got the note for about 1 week).
After that (july(other contract runs out)) dunno what's on the market then.
I'll probably stick with the SGS for now and SGS III will be my next move - However I'm severly tempted to get myself a Galaxy Tab aswell.....
Android for sure, probably Samsung, and if things don't change too much it will be a Galaxy S series phone.
But my SGS it's like new, and I only buy new phones when the old one breaks, so it could be a long time until my next phone.
i think my next phone will be Samsung Galaxy s III , i have galaxy s 1 and i think that the III is the best choice price / performance !!!!
For the SGS3 i hope it will have a 4.9" Super Amoled Plus HD with ICS Software Buttons. Seems like a reasonable size though i know they will probably make it smaller, not everyone has big hands. Of course i wish quadcore also... And i wish for TouchWiz 5.0 that doesn't include bloat, just necessary additions to stock and small UI refinements.
I hope for a good GPU, too... (Powning everything else)
I am really thinking to buy a Nexus S, but I am not sure cause the SGS2 is also a "beast"
I am waiting to see SGS III.

Probably S2, but not in the near future.
I think an Galaxy S III.
I love my Galaxy s.
hi guys
i want to buy a galaxy S2
so should i buy one form At&T or T-Mo or Sprint or globel verson ????
Why buy a S2 when S3 was just released? Or you could buy the HTC One X.
wait for the S3 to come. and the htc one-phones are probably a bit better than the s2. but max. a bit
WAIT for the global galaxy sIII to be released and then buy that
samsung s2
Buy a Galaxy Note
I would Buy a Galaxy note as i had a brand new nexus with official ics and sold it and bourght a note and couldnt go back to a smaller screen then ive rooted and flashed stunner ics i woudnt swap it for any phone now i have a quadrant score of 44130 blows my nexus out the water.massive thanks to all at xda as i knew nothing about phone development untill i stumbled apon this forum and now im flashing custom ics roms
If you must get a GS2, go for the "Skyrocket" model, it's CPU is clocked to 1.5 versus all other models being clocked at 1.2
thanks for the advise but you guys change the topic
i think that S3 is not very impress compare to S2 with the price 600 euro
guys on here telling you get s3.... is nothing so special about s3 apart from faster cpu ....and the design of s2 is much better than s3
Go with tmobile and save yourself some money...
Which phone should I buy now?
I've had the HTC Wildfire since last year but I'm getting pretty bored of it now because of the slow processor, graphics and small screen.
Basically, I need a big screen, good camera(capable of HD recording), nice multimedia features and a decent processor in my next phone.
I'm thinking of getting the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V. Is it a good phone or should I go for something else?
Galaxy S3.
Easy, Global, more development and support. But Galaxy Nexus would make better sense with updates
Sent from my HTC One X
I'd also go for global for the dev/support.
If you have already invested tons into micro sdcard, go for sgs3, note or sgs2.
If not and you want style at the expense of no storage/battery upgrade options .. go for one x.
Samsung Galaxy SII even if for samsung upgrade reason maybe I'll chose HTC One X
Just buy the samsung galaxy siii.. man.. that phone is awesome .. just like a portable computer..

hi,as the title says which phone should i get next ?,i already have a sony ericsson xperia neo and was thinking about galaxy nexus and galaxy note !,should i wait for the new note maybe ? or the new nexus ? or go for one of them ?,thanks
If you need one now buy the note, if you can wait if say wait some interesting things due out within the next 4 to 5 months, iPhone 5, windows 8 phones, new Nexus, maybe new Note, new HTC note type device maybe, new Sony phones and such. Should be an interesting 4th quarter for new releases in time for the holidays.

iam afraid i have a limited budget and these devices gonna be somehow expensive for me,isn't the pure experience on the galaxy nexus better than the note ? i know they all get custom roms,5.3" is a big brick performance wise, which is better ?

Note is the better device simply because of its size. It's a beast and still performs well using the enxyos cpu. If the size isn't an issue the note would be my preferred device from your options. Pure Google is fine but can get boring after a while at least with the note you can still get the pure Google experience via custom roms. It's been upgraded to ICS as well so even better.

It first of all has to be carrier specific weither you prefer 4g, speed, or truly unlimited data. I have been with both Tmobile, version, and sprint. Overall I prefer sprint for the 3g on day to day and since they just got LTE I plan on staying. The viper looks amazing as does the EVO LTE. I would stay away from the windows phones unless you plan on rooting it into an android phone but make sure there is some decent development first. Overall I love android and will never go back! Samsung and HTC make great devices I've had from both but look at cnet and engadget for reviews they haven't steered me wrong yet. Good luck!!

Re:
Samsung Nexus,Galaxy i9300 its good work.
thanks all for the suggestions, another question is will i notice a huge difference in perfomance or user experience from my neo compared to the nexus or the note ?, am using a custom rom its pretty smooth, so an upgrade now may be pointless or worth it ?
Prossesor and memory are huge different. If uou can affort do the change.

Definitely you'll notice a difference. Dual core are very fast, especially galaxy note, even with stock firmware they fly. Gets better if you root.
If you really want to,get the galaxy note. Very good phone.Otherwise, galaxy s2 is better than nexus in my view.

aha the thing is their is an offer in one of the shops here where i live, the nexus is for 430 $ new and unlocked and the note is for 550$,is the note worth the 120 $ difference ?
Size matters?
I would go for the note if you are not afraid it is getting to big. I think the note is worth the extra $120.
Galaxy Note! is very fast

By far
Bigger screen at same resolution, faster processor, that pen,if you want you can always put vanilla android cause of awesome development on the note, plus it will be way more fun to play games with.

get a Galaxy S II
get a Galaxy S II, i have one, its so good that i'm gonna skip the galaxy s 3 and wait for the next big thing..
Hi guys hoping you can help.
Ive had my Xperia Play since new, but its screen has gone and feels slow compared to my mates phones now.
Ive been offered the choice of 3 phones.
Nokia Lumia
Samsung Galaxy s3
Xperia U
Im only really interested in making calls, texts, emails, music, browsing and games. All the other special features that come with all new phones are just a gimmick to me, (My X Play was rooted and bloat free within an hour of me getting it) so things like "Siri" on Iphone and S-Voice on Samsung are not a deal winner for me.
One thing I would like is to be able to hook my phone up to my TV via HDMI, something that was GREATLY overlooked on the Xplay, mores the pity.
So, seeing as im no expert, and you guys at XDA seem to be in the know please vote and if you pick "other" leave a comment explaining what phone and why.
Many thanks guys and gals!
Mr Flipfoot
it is also depending on what you want to pay for it
if it doesn´t matter what it cost
i would choose the s3 by samsung cause it has the best performance i think (and many custom roms of course and official update support)
you could connect it to your tv with the following adapter by samsung:
EPL-3FHUBE
(sry i can´t post a link because im a new member )
I would choose Samsung S3 because of the performance. If you're a mean android gamer then it's great for you. But if I really get to choose, I'd love to have Xperia acro S. It has 12MP, 1.5 dual core, HDMI, 11GB internal memory, up to 32 GB SD card and others.. It also looks sleek. You should search for it. I'm not much on the processor speed. I just love Sony's design and features. A fast, beautiful phone that could do everything I want would be great enough. This is just a suggestion. The decision is yours of course.
It all depends on
1 what is your budget
2 carrier (contract specific carrier or prepaid)
With your requirements and considering all carriers supported
Galaxy nexus, S2 or S3.

Everyone on this forums is going to recommend you buy the GS3. And it's for a reason, it IS the best phone out there hands down.

That's a statement based solely on opinion. The 15 million owners obviously don't think its ugly.

I agree with this. People always look at a Nexus' specs and go "it looks totally average, why get that when you can get a Galaxy S III or blahblahblah". Hardware specs will only get you so far. What good are they, though, when your software is perpetually bloated and outdated? I'd rather not be at the mercy of Samsung/HTC/whoever for updates.
The Nexus development scene is second to none, too.

Wait for the Note II to come out.
(I'm presuming that you're very interested in games, browsing etc.)
I know i'm getting hated for saying this but am i the only one that thinks the S3 is overrated? I'd rather have a Galaxy Nexus than an S3. And there are quite a few alternatives to the S3 like the One X (Many reviewers say it has the best screen out there), the 4X HD (Also IPS LCD like the One X but with bigger removable battery and microSD slot), the Galaxy Nexus (Sure, it isn't a quad core but if you check out on youtube a comparison between the GN and a quad core phone you will see that the Nexus can be as smooth (On JellyBean) or even smoother not to mention you get all the updates first) also the RAZR MAXX (It might not be the best phone spec wise but it has a huge battery which provides excellent battery life).
Sorry for the bad english.
I have to decide if I should by
1. Gallaxy S2 x
or
Nexus 4
Both will be new, and the same price, I could pick up the S2 new instore and unlock it for the same price as this new Nexus,
I am think the S2 because, I can get it quicker, I would have 32 gigs storage with the SD card I got, but mostly it seems like a better built phone, samsung rather than LG, even tho the specs are better on the Nexus 4 I am thinking I would still find teh S2x a better phone in the long run.
Would the screen resolution or other things really be an improvement ?
Thanks Guys.. having trouble deciding, I dont' need the latest everything, the S2 seems like crazy good phone, and nexus but maybe I am rough on phones and don't like a case, thinking the LG is being build cheaper than the S2 was.
No way is a phone from over a year ago going to be better than the n4.
