[Q] S2 Skyrocket Touch stops responding randomly. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

My Galaxy S 2 touch stops responding randomly, or sometimes when i take it out of my pocket. At that moment i cant pick up calls to or even unlock the screen , So what i have to do to fix it is restart the phone or rub it against my stomach (really) to make it respond and it does work but i m tired of doing this every time. please help.
Also fyi my screen is a bit cracked but the touch works perfectly fine.
Please help.
I dont think its a rom bug cause im useing Cyanogen mod9.

This is known to happen on CM9. Check troubleshooting in the OP.
The solution to this is to put your whole palm on the screen and move it around. It'll reset it.

G1 dev phone screen does not respond amost 70% of time

i purchased g1 from ebay, right from day1 the screen does not respond properly in fact most of the times. i need to reset soft one to at least g1 working. i upgraded to jesusfrake adp1.1 but issue is same. looks like a s/w bug or problem as if it were a h/w problem it would not have worked at all. if iam lucky it works like a charm but stops responding once i get some sms/email alert or install any app from market. can someone help here!!
Have you already tried reflashing the firmware? If not, do that. Otherwise, why don't you contact the person you bought the phone from. It sounds like it may be a hardware problem which might be why that person was selling it.
i did flash everything from bootloader to firmware to rooting. but problem remains same...it works for 5 minutes and again screen stops responding but trackball is active....right now iam on latest JF formware..
is anyone facing a simillar problem??? any work arounds....
Sometimes my home screen goes completely blank on me and seems nonresponsive for about 30 seconds. Can be pretty annoying. It seems to happen when I'm switching from an app to the home screen.
Contact HTC directly and ask for an exchange or something. All G1's have been out for less than a year and so they should be covered by warranty.
I put a new screen protector on my G1. I noticed that it had a bad reaction with the touch and I took it off. After I took it off, my touch screen got much worse. It was very jumpy and unuseable. There was a practically invisible film on the screen (couldn't even really feel it. I took a little bit of soap on a lint free cloth and wiped the screen down and let it sit for just a minute (to soak any residue) and wiped away. My screen worked perfect after that.
I was ready to call in for a replacement.
could it be a bug as if it were a hardware problem it would prevent touch screen responding at all!!!
i downgraded to rc 30 and rooted the phone, now its working like a charm!! strange though.......

Fuze touch screen not working - buttons are

Within the last hour my touch screen will not work or respond to anything. I have done a soft reset, removed the battery and nothing. The buttons on the phone work (send, back, home etc.) but the screen wont respond. I noticed a little oil spot in the last few days but it was working fine. I need some help here
I too..
am having the same problem as of this morning....
I got this problem 2 days ago. If someone changed the screen and it started working please reply it.
Same here.I used to flash NRG's Roms and i had always the same issue. The screen was tapping by her self at the down left side.Only by soft reseting the device it was stopping. Now i tried 2 flash another rom but unfortunately, i'm stuck in the beggining. And 2 be more precise at the screen alignment procedure.Nothing works except the buttons but in this moment are useless
Check this out.It might help

Same problem! I also have the little blue oil spot. Not sure how it happened -- could've sworn it was safe in my pocket since the last time it was working. Did it get wet or something?

Losing touch

sometimes when im typing away in a message on my phone, some parts of the phone turn into resistant areas making me press hard on my phone for a touch response to occur...so the phone turns from a capacitive touch screen, to a resistant one that requires a considerable amount of pressure from my fingers. Why!!! is this because of a rom im using? when i click the sleep button on and off the screen returns to normal, but this is so frustrating when im attempting to type long messages. any answers? thanks!!!
I had that issue once.. I tried calibrating the screen but it didnt help so I did a battery pull and it went back to normal.. Havent had the problem since then but im scared itll show its face again..
hah yeaa aafter posting this i havent had the problem, lol lets hope it doesnt come back!
OP are you using a gingerbread rom? it's a VERY VERY common/known issue in all gingerbread roms from gingerbeast to ARHD. I don't know if there's a fix in the works or if anyone cares to make one but i think everyone just flashes teh screen on/off to get around it.

[Q] Touchscreen randomly stops working when rooted.

Hi,
I have a problem whit my Samsung Galaxy Note. When ever I have rooted my phone, the touch screen randomly stops working. It seems to happen whenever I come near the proximity sensor during the time when I make a call. I know that it is used to dim/lock the screen during the call but it seems that the touchscreen system chrashes at that point and stays in that locked mode. After a reboot everything is fine untill it randomly happens again.
When such thing happens, the stylus is working but the finger touch is not reckognized anymore. The strange thing is that when I unroot my phone everything seems to work fine.
And that is a bummer because I cannot sent it for replacement because everything seems to work fine when my phone is stock/unrooted.
The phone is brand new, got it last saturday.
Is there any one who has heard of this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Jeffrey

[Q] Screen not working but touchscreen still responding

Hello everyone!
I have been visiting the site for a long time but this is the first time I actually post.
Well the problem I have with my nexus is that the screen stopped working a few days ago, but the touchscreen is still responding. I was walking at the beach with the phone in my pocket and after some time I realized the phone was not working. I suppose it was the humidity because the phone was completely dry.
Now the weird thing is that the touchscreen works perfectly, I can feel it when I unblock the phone, but the screen is completely black. Anyone has any idea how to fix this? I already changed the screen of my old nexus 4 a few times, but is there any other option? because I do not want to pay for the whole screen replacement when the touchscreen is working. I would say that it is just some contacts not working properly, but I do not really know how to fix that.
I hope someone has an idea how to fix it.
Thank you!
Maybe this thread will point in the right direction. Mentioned is flashing stock recovery.

Thanks for the reply! I tried that but it did not work and after the battery run out I realized it was not charging either. So I think the only thing left is to send it to repair to LG or something...
