[SHARE][FREE][2.3+] [App] Fast File Transfer - The WiFi Direct For The Rest Of Us

Hi, i would like to share this thread for Fast File Transfer - The WiFi Direct For The Rest Of Us
I did not develop this application so, all the credit goes to the original developer. I found this app so liked to share it here because i read a lot on wifi-direct discussion on cm9 by willy thread so thought i can share it here.
if its duplicate in this forum [Galaxy Fit apps and theme section] then mod can freely delete it.
Fast File Transfer is a free Android app that uses WiFi tethering for file transfers between two devices.
This technology allows for speeds of more than 32 Mbit/s, which means e.g. 1 Gigabyte in under 5 minutes.
The app has received an update recently and now allows to display QR codes for easier setting up the receiving device.
Features:
Up to 20x speed of bluetooth
The receiver is device-independent
No need for a common Wi-Fi connection
No data usage for file transfers
The receiver does not have to have the app installed
Send single or multiple files
Easy to setup:
Use QR codes to allow the receiver to easily connect to the wifi and open the receiving URL

Dont know about OTG, but wifi signal is very good (better than my old sony xperia sola). i had problem with GPS, did a hell lot of tweaking and reading nothing helped... then stumbled upon a forum saying that SMS car can cause problems, and by removing card>starting phone without sms card>shutdown>reinserting card solved my GPS problem...
about GPS fix... it seems its ok, nothing special. just in the middle i suppose.

I have the phone. I think it is very good for its price :good:. Wifi reception very good, GPS normal, USB-OTG is not there. The only minor thing is the camera which does not make clear pictures and is only 5MP I think, although it stores pictures in as much as 12MP, but those are not sharp.
Camera quality JK11?
Thanks for the remarks about this phone, interested in buying it perhaps. Could someone pls upload some photo samples of it to judge camera quality? Or describe how photo quality compares to a mainstream digital camera?
Thanks!
Does anybody know a valid firmware (rom) or kernel, or modem,..... for JK11 that it get better wifi signal than stock rom? It spents a lot of time to load web pages.

HARD FACT:No unrooted phone can do that.
Its a choice brother
Keep the warranty
OR
root, and Get Power features like USB tethering!
The permissions required to USB tether are not avalible to standard user.

Well good luck with your search!
I only had goodwill to tell you a fact so you don't trouble so much searching for impossible!
Because if you understand the linux architecture, you would realise it is impossible in current conditions. May be it is possible in next versions but not NOW!
But if you don't want to stop searching!
GO on!
Share with the world if you find anything!

Google has added many security features in kitkat so its not possible without rooting
Is it absolute mandatory that you have to use a USB cable?
A wifi stick with "reverse thetering" would be another possibility.
Edit: Oh just saw abhi0502 was faster with that idea. Uhhhhh....and it needs alo root. Ok forget that, so forget this.
not possible
It wasn't possible in older androids even and kitkat is more secure so no chance without rooting

I don't know how it is in Bangladesh. But generally a Wifi Stick for a Desktop PC is nothing uncommon.
I want the moderator to ban me.
Remember you'll still need root. Good luck!

Android Reverse Tethering for windows users.
Tethering is the ability to surf on your pc using the 3g of your phone
Reverse tethering is the opposite : surf on your phone using the ADSL of your PC. No Wifi or 3G connection required.
This work only for rooted users and for Windows !!!

That is another possibility. He can activate ICS on his PC and then it should also work.
The third option would be a WIFI Dongle and a SoftwareRouter.

Your post is a little jumbled, but it seems like you're asking if your PC can receive a wifi signal even if it doesn't have built-in wifi. The answer is simply no. You can go to the store and snag a little wifi dongle or something like that and install the software to make it pick up a signal, but as is... it's not gonna pick up anything. Hope that helps.
