Network operator drops and doesnt go back - HTC One S

Im having a problem. While driving & GPS, noticed that I got no signal. Stopped by - found out that my phone dropped network signal, when going to mobile network settings - network operator - it just couldnt find any (I got it on auto). Only way to get it back is restart the phone. Then it goes back online as turns on. (This place 100% have network signal, as its center of city with towers somewhere nearby).
Happened to me 3x times a day, only solver is reboot.
Any suggestions what it could be?
Anyone else have occured the same problem?

I'm having it exactly the same.
Phone cannot re-register itself to the network.
I found that the frequency of the matter is lower with EU unbranded firmware 1.78 than with 1.53 but it's still there. which one do you have?
Factory reset and such didn't solve it as well as switching micro-sims.

Unbranded 1.78.401.2

Sudden Disconnection from network?

So out of nowhere, my HTC Sensation no longer connects to the network. I would get roughly around 5 mbps around my house, but just all of a sudden, it stopped working. I tried rebooting the phone, and turning on/off airplane mode, and it just doesn't seem to be working. Anyone have any more tips before I try and factory resetting? Also i think I may be experiencing a bug because every time I open any app, I get a very quick glimpse of the weather instead, and then the app opens up. Thanks
What was your previous phone with t-mobile? If you don't have an "android plan" it seems that T-mobile is blocking you from data.
Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128335&highlight=data&page=5
I had the same problem two days ago and had to do a factory reset to solve the problem.
Previous phone was MyTouch 3g, so I'm sure I'm on an android plan
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out
Don't assume it's your phone. It's possible that service in your area is down. If you have another t-mobile phone check to see if it has reception. Next go into settings, wireless&networks, and select mobile networks. Then choose network operators and select automatically. If nothing comes up I would call t-mobile because resetting your phone.

[Q] Connection problem with Defy+

Hi,
I'm having trouble with my Motorola Defy+.
I have the most recent CM10 installed from Quarx.
Provider: Mobile Vikings
Country: Belgium
Baseband frequency: 900/1800MHz
I can't find a matching baseband and believe this is causing the phone to lose signal mutiple times a day. Also call reception is lost.
Before, on the stock ROM, the phone just crashed continuously. I was bought in Germany (Vodaphone) so it probebly didn't had the correct drivers/RIL/baseband (?) for Belgium. The rebooting problem was instantly triggered by enabeling data. And even with data OFF, it stil rebooted several times a day. Now, with CM10 it stays alive and can hook up on data, but it looses all connection every 1-2 hours.
I know from my provider I definitly need a matching 900/1800MHz baseband for proper connectivity. But I can't find this baseband in CM10. Where can I find a matching one and how do I install this?

Constant "Emergency calls only" and no signal

Heyho,
about three weeks ago, my N5 suddenly lost it's signal over night and shows me "Emergency calls only" and it won't register into any network, just giving "Selected network unavailable".
When this occured my N5 had 4.4.2 stock ROM and rooted. I've unrooted it and updated to 4.4.4, but I still got the same problem.
Problem occurs with any simcard, while simcard works with other phones just fine.
Have deleted and reconfigured APN, but didn't make any difference.
I get a signal every few days, but I still can't receive text/calls or call/text anyone and my mobile data doesn't work.
I even tried to downgrade to 4.4, but that didn't solve my problem either...
I'm from Germany, but in New Zealand at the moment, so I really need my phone in case of emergencies and to stay in touch with family/friends.
I have been searching for a solution since it started, but have not been able to find anything that worked.
Sending it back to Google isn't an option right now because I am travelling.
I am really thankfull for any suggestions or if anyone knows how to fix this problem!
Cheers
Have you checked to make sure the network setting says 2g/3g/LTE preferred. Because I had this problem when it was switched to 2g only and was fixed by the above option
If the above fails trying going to your dialer and typing *#*#4636#*#*. Go into phone information and you should see a drop down box to select your network mode. Play around with those until you get a signal but you might not want to try CDMA options (WCDMA is ok) since you're on a GSM network.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
had exactly the same issue as you mentioned. Nexus 5 tends to lose network without any logical explanation and it tends to work at one place but stop showing network if you walk half a mile down the road (or may not show any network anywhere). Google has released an update in June in which they have updated the modem to solve the problem..given that I am in India and the June update was for India, Australia and Newzeland, it worked like a charm for me (all i had to do was flash the modem from twrp)..people as far away as netherlands have reported the modem to work for them..
NOTE: IF U INTEND TO FLASH THE LATEST MODEM, DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT MODEM PRIOR TO FLASHING THE NEW ONE..
check your sim card. if you can, try someone elses.
Alright,
I've tried every thing again so far, but nothing seems to work.
Sitting in the library, I noticed that I get a signal, when connected to WiFi, which stays for 1-2 hours after disconnecting.
But I still can't make any calls or text and mobile data doesn't work though the APN is correctly configured and and data enabled.
I really hope to be able to solve this problem somehow, don't want to put aside my beloved N5 :/

Edit: Haven't found any solution so far and bought a new phone for the moment until I'm able to send it back to Google.
Might be an hardware issue and not software related.

[Q] S6 showing incorrect location with mobile data

Hi all.
I bought an s6 last week (G920F) and am running it on the 3 UK network.
Since getting it the phone will randomly show my location a Cheltenham in the UK, when I'm in fact in Sunderland, c.200+ miles away.
At home on wifi its fine but at work 10 miles away it often shows the wrong location (but when wrong its always Cheltenham).
At times it works ok. I`ve tried going from airplane mode to back and blocking/restarting mobile data and switching off handset and it does seem to eventually change but I cant pinpoint what 'fixes` it. I have tried a full factory reset which hasn't made any difference, but I dont know if this issue is software, handset or just network related....but I know it didnt happen with my 3 UK s4 before I changed.
I do have Location enabled but just on the Network and Wifi setting as I dont want to flatten the battery with GPS.
Anyone have any clues guys ?
Thanks
Robin

Can't get connection to ANY carrier

Hi! I'm having some mayor problems with my OnePlus One.
For some time I have had problems getting calls and sms when using 4G but it seemed to be a problem with my carrier but 2 weeks ago I dropped my phone and the screen broke so I bought a new screen and replaced it. After that the connection to my carrier dropped randomly and now after trying to fix it in different ways I can't get any connection at all with any carrier !
What I have tried so far:
Factory reset
Reinstalled CM
Put paper under the sim for tighter fit
Turned the radio off and on and restart phone
Change pin code
Replace sim-card
Tried different carriers on my phone (my simcard worked on other phones so it is the OPO that is the problem)
Total restore by fastboot-flashing
Installed OxigenOS 2
Tried all modems from the modem collection on CM and Oxigen.
Retyped the APN by hand
Opened the phone again and checked that all cables are connected well
Tried manualy connect to my carrier under Network Operators
For a short time of maximum 10 seconds I got a 4G connection twice in now 3 days of trying but then it stops working again. It feels like a hardware problem BUT I can see a lot of different carriers under Network Operators but when trying to connect it loads for ever and then says "Can't register to your carrier". I called my carrier and thay said nothing was wrong from their end and when I tried on other phones it worked flawlessly.
I'm really out of ideas now and I don't know where to go from here. I really hope someone of you knows that might be the problem!
Thank you so much!
If imei present you can try mobile phone exchange offer on flip kart like online stores. When this happened to my phone I did it , very easy.
Sometimes opo dont search available network or wont register on any network.
Sulution: go to access point and reset it to default first then go to network and try to search for network n if ur able to search then try ro register manually and if it does not work then go to dialer and dial *#*#4636#*#* then click phone info and select the lte/gsm ato prl mode and then click turn radio off and again tuen it onn then smsc refresh and update ( i dnt remember it correctly) if that dnt help then ur network antena is damaged
