phone rebooting when switchin from hsdpa to wifi - HTC One S

Hi guys, I had this issue with custom roms and stock, so it is probably a radio issue. If I am connected to my wifi network at home, then I go out, the phone switches to hsdpa (as it should) and then I come back home, the reconnection to the wifi network causes the phone to reboot.
I had this issue on all roms I used, both stock and trickdroid 3.1 / 4.3.
Does anyone have the same issue? My wifi direct is already disabled, my location is Italy.
Thanks

[Q] Switch back to 3G

Hi,
I've been having this problem since stock firmware. 3G works, but ever when I turn it off (with an apn on/off widget, or throught wireless settings), I can't switch it back on most of the times. It says it's switched on, but the 3G notification never shows up and I can't get online. This also happens when I autimatically switch from 3G to Wifi. Only solution is to reboot the phone completely, then I can use 3G again 'til I switch it off or get on wifi again.
Again, I've been having this since stock rom, and now I'm on Valhalla 1.0, still same problem.

Wifi is gray after sleep; no internet

I've had this problem before with Honeycomb. When I would wake the tablet up after it had been in standby for a while, the wifi connection would be gray and I would not be able to go on the internet. Simply toggling the WiFi switch off and on would fix the problem, yielding a blue WiFi signal and internet, but this becomes a hassle.
I had at some point flashed Prime! 2.1.0 and found this to be the only ROM that didn't have this WiFi connectivity issue.
Unfortunately, after updating to stock ICS the issue came back (and is also present on the Revolution rom). Prime hasn't updated to ICS at this point so I was wondering if any of you know what is going on and what can be don't about it.
Thanks
hey mate,
I have been experiencing the same problem even before the ICS update.
simply turning off and turning on the screen only gives an indication of how strong / weak the wifi is.
is it indeed a hassle
Thanks wzseow,
Does anybody else experience this?

[Q] Captivate - WIFI sometimes auto connects, sometimes not

The problem I am having is that my the wifi sometimes connects automatically but sometimes it doesn't. If I notice it hasn't connected, I just go to settings -> Wireless and network, and then as soon as I select wifi settings, it connects to the wifi.
This happens both when I go to work and when I go home. These are saved wifi networks. I am always within about 20 feet of the wireless routers so I know it isn't a signal problem. At home there is only the one wifi network so it isn't interference from competing wifi networks.
Has anyone run into this? The odd thing is that it sometimes works so it doesn't seem to be a setting issue.
This is a Rogers phone that I unlocked and played with various replacement ROMs, but then loaded the rogers 2.3 ROM using instructions from this site.
Samsung Captivate S
SGH-I896
Firmware 2.3.3
Baseband version I896UXKH2
Kernel 2.6.35.7-I896UXKH2-CL296008 [email protected] #2
Build GINGERBREAD.UXCKH2
There is another problem - my email (using social hub) doesn't always automatically check for mail. That issue might be related, but since it is a different issue, I have started another thread for it here.

[Q] Stock JB Non Root Relay Wifi issues

Ive been having major issues with my wifi on a stock non rooted JB stock firmware Relay.
Wifi was working fine for the longest time. Recently my wpa2 home network wont connect. I keep seeing "wifi authentication error" every time I try to connect. I did a cache wipe, and when I do, it works for a day or so and then goes back to the same issue
Now Im having problems getting any data from wifi, wether its an open network or WPA. It just shows that its connected, the little arrows on the signal meter light up but no data actually gets transferred.
I did a battery pull and it seemed to fix it temporarily, but seems like the issue comes back
Any help??

Strange WiFI issue causing rebooting of my S8+

Hello there!
I'm been having a strange problem with my device, which causes a semi reboot.
I mean semi, because it appears to be rebooting, but it's faster and it seems to not complete the whole rebooting process.
I've been investigating and discovered that it's related to WIFI.
I have a Archer C9 with 2.4 and 5Ghz wifi. Each is set to a different SSID, so I know which band I'm using.
My S8+ is a FD Exynos at ZTO/CRC7 Oreo.
There's a option in advanced settings of wifi section, that automatically alternates from wifi to mobile, when wifi signal is weak.
So I found a spot in my bedroom where the S8+ loses wifi signal for a moment, but it's sufficient to make it alternate to LTE, either in 2.4 or 5Ghz bands (even though the 2.4 Ghz gets 40~50% signal in that spot).
After that, the cellphone keeps saying that wifi is weak and won't let me reconnect to it, even if I'm close to the router.
After a minute it reboots and connects to the wifi.
I disabled that option and so far (15h) it hasn't rebooted yet, even if I go to that spot (it loses wifi signal there, but recovers after a few seconds)
Is that a software issue or a hardware issue?
Thanks a lot in advance!
seems like a software issue since it works after reboot
try resetting the phone to factory defaults
