hi everyone.
I have a question is how to work with all the essential parts of the Android SDK.
Welcome to the forum. Firstly question threads don't belong in Development so you should post all questions in the relevant Q&A section for the device you're asking about. This looks more like a general question where you're in a device specific (Razr HD) forum so I've closed the thread. For general guidance on working within the Android environment your best place to start is in Chef Central - Android. There is a useful beginners guide there. When you have device specific questions then feel free to start a thread in Q&A as advised.
Thanks
AvRS
There are a bunch of threads about roms in the original android development section and the thread about the pink kernel is in android development. AFAIK all the kernels should be in the original section and all the roms should be in android development. Can we please move all the threads to make things easier to navigate? TIA
How to make an app used for Native 3G Video calls ??
Hi,
Here is a collection of links all in one thread in the first post. There's a section at end for guides. There are a few app development guides. You have a lot of resources here and much to read...

Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.
Hi,
I am planning on making a custom ROM that uses a modified tablet UI, that not just comes with a navbar & status bar on one bar, but with a Start Menu. IDK how the Prime OS PC Android team was able to implement a start menu-like System UI into their PC-based Android distro, but I would like to do the same with my custom ROM.
If you like this idea & question, please follow this thread & reply.
Note: Questions go in Q&A Forum
If you are posting a Question Thread post it in the Q&A forum. Technical discussion of Android development and hacking. No noobs, please. Device-specific releases should go under the appropriate device forum...

Let me give you a background on me... I am a developer for Objective-C, C#, and XAML. I Used to make old school Mac apps in the powerpc days, then I moved to vb.net Windows Forms apps... now I am a .NET MAUI Developer. So, I told my self... I can't be that hard to port PE12L to x86_64 PC with Android Generic Project but, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT. Firstly, I cannot even get the actual PE12L ROM to build it's self never mind the Android Generic Project part. What are the magical system requirements to build AOSP or GSI ROMs? I'm on a fresh copy of Ubuntu 20.04.4. I ram the scrips on the PE Website. I installed repo. what else is needed? Do, I run the build as my standard user or as super user? can someone please point me into the right direction?

Hi Oswald,
I am not a noob to development. I've been a developer for 30+ years. I am new to android rom development. I know 15+ programing languages. I'm just looking for some assistance to get started with ROM Development from fellow developers.
Thank you!

Perfect! I must've misunderstood. Thank you! I'm new to posting on XDA.
So, an update... I got the PE ROM to build. I was trying to build the unofficial GSI Version which apparently has bugs. Now, I'm going to run Android Generic Project on the PE Source Code... crossing my fingers.
Why don't you ask the BlissTeam for help? They'll tell you what to do. You can download Android 12L x86 (+ Houdini 12.1) as an example. And see how it works there. Good luck
