[Q] Enable/Disable 2G/3G with mobile Data Toggle - HTC Desire S

Hi,
with CM7 it was possible to enable/disable 2G an 2G/3G with the mobile Data Toggle (Energy-Widget).
Now with CM9 Alpha (Build 20120602) there are toggles included, but I can't find an option to combine the mobile data toggle with 2G / 2G/3G.
If that could be included, I would be very happy, because mit the mobile data off I only use 2G-Network to safe battery.
Thanks a lot for thew great work so far! I love this ROM!
P.S.: I would have posted this in the Development-Section, but I wasn't able to due to less than 10 posts...

I think there is a toggle for 2g only....

go to settings - systems - notification bar - scroll down then you can find "'something' button" (widget if i'm not wrong) then you can find a toggle for 2G/3G which will be enabled in your drop down notification bar..
and underneath that option, there are some options for you to choose how the button works, such as toggle 2G/3G Only, or 2G Only /3G Only / 2G+3G, or 2G+3G / 3G Only (something like that)..
I was running the ROM but not anymore, so i can't really give you the exact location, but it is definitely under Settings - System - Notification Bar..

Thanks for your replies!
Yes, under Settings - System - Notification Bar you can choose the network-switches.
But it's not combined with the mobile data on oder off.
Hopefully this feature will be included in the future!

Toggle Switch - 3G<->GPRS

Could you send me link to program Toggle Switch - 3G<->GPRS? I need it for quicklink in Sense HD2.
Thanks
Moved as not software release.

I need this too!
"2G-3G OnOff" widget by CurveFish gets the job done for me (milestone)
It's just a shortcut to the 'disable 3g networks' screen, though, but I find it sufficient.
Basically, you can choose between "Auto" and "2G only" from this screen (you can't force 3G only).
To force 3G only I had to go to this hidden menu in the milestone which I forget...
Thanks, but thats for Andriod, Im using WinMO
After doing a search here on xda for
today+screen+toggle+switch+3g+gprs
today plugin to switch between WCDMA and gsm
How about that?

notification toggle & ics alpha 18

Hi at all, I have some question, I can't post on development forum than I ask here.
I would ask you if there is a way to put more toggle inside pull-down notification (ICS cyanogen 9 alpha 18, now there is only wi-fi, bt, gps and volume).
For next version can be a good idea do a preference where I can add or remove toggle (data connection, airplane mode).
I try to install ics alpha 18, I do it without any problem but now I noted that there is more lag respect alpha 13....lag on look screen, gallery....there is also more crash with application and gallery...(before install ics I do a full wipe+format system)

I'm not sure about customizing the provided one, when I was using the stock rom I looked for a way and didn't find anything. Since switching to CM10 it has a similar way with quick settings being customizable in notification area.
You could use Notification Toggle, an app that adds buttons to the notification area, but Samsung already crammed that notification area so full I wasn't real happy with it as it was - and this would just make it fuller...

Customize toggles in notification bar

Hello,
I write this post because I need some information for the personalization of my nexus5 (kitkat stock rom).
I would like to customize the toggles accessible from the notifications bar.
I need to have:
-A button that allows me to enable or disable the data network (currently enters clicking in the statistics and from there I have to click the button on / off)
-A button that allows me to make 2g/3g/4g switch (sometime if i need only use whatsapp i use edge for saving battery)
Have you any suggestions?
I know someone will chase the rabbit of the hat!
Thank you,
xSliv3r
HI
Please try
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle
I use Power Toggles:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
It works very well and you can create toggles for your Notification area or as Widgets for you homescreen.
Hi,
thanks for your answers!
I've tried this app but there isn't possibility to add nothing in quick toggles area...
With this app, minewhile, i've added the toggles in notification area...
Have you ideas?
Thanks,
xSli

I have root but don't think this is available unless you flash a custom ROM, I'm just praying for AKOP to release something...

Has anyone with Root access tried GravityBox Xposed app yet? That should do the trick but I don't know if they updated to 4.4 support yet.
the xposed framework doesn't work on 4.4 yet, sadly. The developer just ordered an N5, and is already looking at the issues, so hopefully we'll have an update soon.
you've already got a data toggle, press and hold the centre button which has the signal icon on it. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work exactly the same way, quick press into settings, long press toggle. Arse about face compared to others but it works.
I couldnt install either of those apps..kept getting error 920...awesome.
Had the phone in my hand for an hour and debating sending it back for a few reasons.i dont know why google wouldnt implement quick panel..its a basic must have for many

Im just waiting for the up to date Cyanogenmod build to be developed and released which will have fully customizable expanded quick setting tiles as standard. Its what I usually do with all my Nexus devices.

I have used the various 23 Toggle mods, battery mods etc that are available for the Note 2, S3 etc. Looking forward to these being available for the N5... but development takes time.
coming from CM on my old LG P990, this is the only thing that I'm missing ; customizable quick setting tiles.
I use old good Widgetsoid. Very customizable.

GravityBox
I'm using GravityBox and works very well. I recommend you to try it. It needs root acces.
I'm using Quicker Free
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bwx.bequick2
It is similar to the QuickPanel in appearance but allows you to add and remove the settings you like. Also allows you to make more than one screen of settings.
Actually just tried out Power Toggles and like it better than Quicker Free
Just use Cataclysm rom. It's pretty much stock rom with a few added options like this

I use extended settings haven't tried any of the other options really but it does what i need it to do and i think it meets your needs and its also free but there is a paid version with some extra features

Question Unlocked AT&T S22 Ultra missing data ON/OFF on notification shortcuts

I need to add the data ON/OFF toggle switch from the notification shortcuts as i use it alot. Any idea on how to go about it or if changing to International ROM will help.

Bringing WIFI Toggle / Mobile Data Toggle back on Android 13
Has anyone a clue on how to do that? All workarounds of the past do not work anymore. Thanks in advance.

You can't flash International firmware to At&t device
