I'm not sure if issue before, but this came up recently on my phone. Everytime I view weather it will display the correct temp, but after awhile it will show different degree. Then I have to click on weather to get correct information. I'm talking about Weather clock display on homescreen.
Anyone know why widget keep doing this? I'm sure its not the custom rom I'm using, because flashed two different roms it still happpened.
Some information on this would help me a lot...

On my old HTC Fuze running Windows 6.5, there was a lockscreen digital clock that showed seconds eg. 5:00:48 PM. There simply has to be an Android *DIGITAL* clock that displays seconds. I just can't find it!
Ideally, I'd like it to be on the lockscreen - but anywhere would be great. (I'm a last minute person when it comes to my commuter train - and need to mind my seconds.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

I've thought of adding this to Chronotopia but it eats battery life big time. Maybe I'll add it at some point.
If you make a search in the market there are some
Alarm Clock Free
Clock Widget digital
Num clock lite
etc etc
Not really for lock screen but there are lock screen replacements where you can add widgets
Thanks for the responses. Because of battery life issues, I think that Alarm Clock Free works the best for me - although I may attempt to configure Clock Widget Digital on my lock screen.
Battery life is already a big concern of mine as I get terrible battery life already...
Quick question. I presume that if something like Alarm Clock Free is not being displayed on the screen that it is not impacting my battery life? Same with Clock Widget Digital if my screen is turned off? Or, do they chew up battery life even if they are simply running in the background?
If they use battery life even when the screen is off, I think I will go with Alarm Clock Free and kill the application after I've used it. (I think there might be some fairly automated ways to do so - and would be open to hearing about the same.)
Thanks again.
Dave
If it's an AppWidget (on your home screen or a widget in a custom lock screen) then it really depends on the implementation. Because of the nature of Android it is most likely that those clocks will update the widget every second, which eats battery. It might be that they have a check implemented to not update the widget in certain circumstances, like when the screen is off. But as far as I know (I haven't come across it yet) there is no (easy) way to detect if the clock is displaying or not. So I always assume that these clocks are updated all the time.
I was thinking of implementing a change on a widget every 15 seconds. So you would see: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 & 0
I still might do that at some point, but it should always be optional.
is it me or has the deskclock option been removed? On my previous devices i have had the option to select this so that when it is on charge at night it also acts as as a bedside clock.
On the One s the only think i can see is under 'clock' it says world clock and there is a picture of a planet with different time zones but not actually a digital clock showing the time.
Am i missing something somewhere?
Basically i want a digital clock that can double as an alarm clock to have when the phone is on charge at night....would be great if it could also turn off the home and back button also as these seem to stay on at night when charging with the ones i have tried from the market.
thanks
According to my knowledge they HTC has removed the Desktop clock feature.
Very annoying, why can't they give you an option to switch from 'world clock' ( the planet showing) to a clock like on the older version, at least it would have a real use.

The lack of alarm clock is annoying. I've tried out some clock apps, and those work well enough except the bottom buttons stay lit. Haven't found a good solution yet.

Alarm Clock Plus works best for me. It should not be moved to sdcard, as it breaks like any other app using alarms and/or widgets.
Customizing it the first time may take some time but it can do almost everything so.

There is an alarms section in the Clock app. Nothing special but it works fine.

I know, what I meant was what the OP stated, the desktop clock was missing. I did try Alarm Clock Plus, it worked great except that the bottom buttons remain lit which was distracting.
Interestingly, having now gone a few nights without a bedside clock, I find I'm sleeping a bit better without knowing what time it is.
im using night clock donate at the moment and its a very clean and simple clock which i want however i too have the problem with the three buttons staying lit when its on
If anyone knows of one i want a simple digital clock with the ability to turn off the button lights and also if possible mute notifications when its activated (like email and twitter etc)
Lightning Bug is an app that I use for white noise that also has a fairly customizable clock that goes with it. It has an option to turn off device lights, although that does not seem to be working correctly on the One S (could be something the devs need to fix for Ice Cream Sandwich).
I use a pin number to unlock my phone. I also have the cLock weather widget on my homescreen. I've noticed that the weather widget only shows on my lockscreen every other time I lock the phone. So if I lock the phone for the first time, the weather widget will appear on my lockscreen. Then, if I unlock my phone and lock it again, the weather widget will disappear. This will repeat indefinitely (alternately showing and hiding the weather widget.)
The attached screenshots are from two consecutive unlock/locks, taken a few seconds apart. As you can see, one has the weather widget one does not.
Anyone else seeing this? Is this something to do with my settings or a bug?
EDIT: by the way, I'm on Cory's unofficial version, 6/10 build. The behavior has existed for many builds, dating back even to the official nightlies.

I could never even get cLock to get my weather location so I imagine it's a bug... I could be wrong of course.
I just used Dashclock instead.
dashclock is pretty nice

thanks for the recommendation.
When my night clock is activated the Date/Time information is accurate however, it continues to only display 30 and Clear for my weather conditions and I live in Louisiana. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to adjust the night clock settings? Thanks
You need to have location turned ON maybe that solve the issues
My weather is not showing up at all anymore on the night clock as of now :/ it was showing weather (left) time (middle) alarm (right). What happened to the weather? Does it have anything to do with the gear s? Since I've linked it to my phone today, my phone has been misbehaving lol. I can't even use the speech -to-text feature. It comes up can't reach google at the moment! Any ideas???
Thanks
It has to do with the lollipop update.
Ya the weather on the night clock doesnt show it but if i do the rub while screen is off it will be there so seems like there would be a fix with a update or something.

Hey guys, I'm running on rooted stock 5.0.1 and I can't seem to get the dual world clock working on the lockscreen. I've enabled it in the settings and have chosen a different home time zone to my current one but it looks no different to normal (displaying only my current time and date). Anyone know why this might be? Thanks a lot!
