IMPORTANT
As of Alpha 4, the app switch key is returned to the app switcher function. The menu button is now implemented in the space to the right of the app switch button. Obviously the new menu button isn't visible, but a menu press will be triggered when you touch the area to the right of the app switcher button. See below if you don't want this new feature.

I don't think so but it is definitely a software issue. My note had it and the ice leak mostly took care of it.
In the android system itself its a huge improvement. When you look at images on Google of gradients you can still see it if you are zoomed in but again its a big difference

Wanna be up to date with ParanoidAndroid project news? Click here and visit our webpage!
This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone.
Features :
PAL, First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
This rom features a setting called Per-App-Density - PAD. It basically allows you to scale apps, make them bigger or smaller. This is a must for tablet mode since it shrinks your apps considerably, making them useless. you can even scale widgets and framework components like the navigationbar. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision.
All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.
More stuff: Recents window closer to stock, fixes for overlapping elements, framework fixes, no crashes, working Phone (looks 100% like stock aswell),Sense 4 Recent Apps too etc.

Its possible through 3rd party apps and only if the contacts app is being shown as phone format. But once you have set them you can switch the view back and it retains the ringtone.
Change the view in settings and paranoid then select the list of apps choice and find contacts

Awesome... Downloading this now. PA was the last ROM base I was using before I got my One S on my HD2 before it met the burnout touch screen problem... Great stable ROM with lots of cool features and had awesome battery life on my last device, on an HD2 this was very impressive... Can't wait to try this build on my new beast! Thanks!

This looks excellent! Thanks for your work. I get the dreaded lost radio upon reboot. Initial boot, radio works fine but after a reboot the phone shows no baseband, or apn settings. If you toggle airplane mode it sticks there.
This is a port from the sensation, THIS IS NOT BUILT FROM SOURCE

ABOUT CAMERA/CAMCORDER
The way the camcorder is on this ROM is the only way to get it to work due to the way our source is hacked for cam/camcorder
SETTING UP CAMCORDER:
The AOKP camera app makes an icon in the app drawer for the camcorder, just happens have the same name and icon as the app thats being used for the camcorder. Just figure out which one it is and hide it in apex. On mine the first camcorder app in the app drawer is the AOKP camcorder.
CAMCORDER:
Open camcorder
Press menu
Change "video quality" to 100
Play around with the "resolution" setting. Every phone is different so I'm sure one will be able to use a higher setting than another but it tends to get very laggy and crash at higher resolutions.
And yes, I know you guys aren't stupid but I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that you had to go into the settings and change the resolution because the camcorder's setting needs to be played with.
For those testing bluetooth, if calling doesnt work flash this and if its still a nogo i guess we wait for deck lol cuz it was broke in the base I used but I've been trying to use parts from PB21 where it worked fully
Can we have a list of what's working and not?lol
Sounds sweet, pictures look nice, I may have to check this one out
Looks awesome. Downloading...
Download link is up, enjoy and let me know if you guys find any issues

PARANOIDANDROID v3.60 for HTC Desire HD
Video review by Sany789 (German):
Android 4.2.2
feeling
Blazing fast and super clean, we started right off the AOSPA source and added as few patches as possible
HALO notifications*
Hybrid engine:
Per app Layout, this will let you choose the UI of any app, that means you can switch apps into their tablet layouts
Per app Size, scale apps individually, this is especially important if you use tablet apps, go as small or big as you like
Per app Color, this lets you select statusbar and navbar colors for apps individually, colors will shift when you jump from one app to another
Hybrid engine makes it possible to use any tablet ready app available on your phone, start with your regular Google apps and see what treasures lie hidden in them and just how well they work on your device.
You can use hybrid engine to use all available general interface UI's aswell: Phone, Phablet, Tablet. This is safe as milk, we don't change DPI, we don't trash your market, we don't shrink all your apps or force them into layouts, you don't needto edit system files for that.

Awesome, it's nice to see there's still someone paying attention to an old device.Looking forward to see this run nicely.
If you can mirror your builds to mega/google drive that'd be great, dropbox is way too slow and will give bandwidth issues if too many people are gonna download it.
I'm using a Nexus 4, but I think it's still a nice device. It fell down many times on asphalt, ect. and it's still working without problems, no new device can do that.
Because of that I never sold my DHD and I'm still using it for some experiments or if I need another smartphone.

As I said there are still some big problems, so don't expect too much.
But it would be nice if you could contribute to the development, even if you just name some other bugs.

It is very smooth, YT plays no problems, no probs with h/w decoding whatsoever, everything else works, but if I run the camera app at this state(not working atm)the whole phone starts lagging no matter if I stop the gallery app.I had to reboot. Also I can't remove halo(or don't know how to)When I hold it and pull it upwards it shows an X and I think that's to remove it from the side but it doesn't go away, i can only hold and pull downwards to put it back into the side.
You can remove halo when double-tapping on halo, keeping the finger on the screen when tapping the 2nd time and then you can move it to the trash, pretty much the same as with the Facebook chat heads.
Niiiiice! Great work man :good: I bet it'll be solid soon.

A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application; with this, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!

I've tested the rom for a few hours and noticed that the sound does not work.
Second the camera does not connect. Same with different camera apps.

Mddi support? Please add the answer to the ROM description, it'll prevent flooding after the answer.

Can't you copy the audio and camera files from a fully working rom and put them in this one
So? The problems are just audio and camera?

The speaker volume is very low. Used dsp manager to increase the settings and its back to normal volume. Using for 5 hours , no problems encountered till now. Very stable version.

File Size
This is awesome, can't wait to try Sense 6! :highfive:
I'm curious as to why the filesize is so large (1.3gb+), compared to the last few AOSP roms I've installed that have been around ~200mb or less.

Sense ROMs have all the HTC software on top, so that brings up the file size. Also, this rom is Multi-Device, so it has the files for the One S (Ville) as well as our device.

Don't know about you guys, but I'm voting this rom for the XDA portal.
So I've been using this for several hours and I am super impressed! Virtually everything works. I really like Sense 6 too, so I probably won't worry about de-Sensing the ROM for now
Here are a few small issues that could be worth reporting:
FM Radio does not seem to work. Just hangs on 'FM Turning On'.
Sweep Panorama mode in the Camera is produces a broken picture and crashes the app
HDR mode also produces a broken picture with lines across it but does not crash the app
Zoe mode is not available (3-sec video + burst shot)
Interestingly, I downloaded Google Camera and the panorama mode works fine there. BUT, the HDR mode in Google Camera also produces a broken pictures with horizontal lines (same as HTC Camera). So something with HDR is not working right across all camera apps.

thanks for you feedback. Now what is working is more than enough for a device like this. Enjoy few days and ones u get done just reflash ur backup ROM.
Keep an eye on SVN since both phones have merged, the fixes will be common.
Yay I get my broken but fully working XL at 7pm est in ny
