Well yeah it is just as the title says. Is there any way that I can turn off the lights of the capacitive buttons? They generate far too much heat. Any ideas?

They don't make heat...the heat is generated by the processor...it is impossible that those little LEDs get hot...the processor makes heat and this heat is concentrated near the LEDs...but it is not their fault

Was some talk of it in the evo4g forums before but never happened.Would have to be reverse engineered somehow and haven't seen it done.

Yes, because wifi is entirely relevant to FM transmission.
I certainly wouldn't hold my breath...
Way back when the hd2 came out it was discovered that the board in the phone indeed had a transmitter on it. There was a pretty hefty bounty to get it working and no one ever could.
My guess is that its cheaper for HTC to buy the boards in bulk with these extra chips than to have something custom made for each device...

How loud is a sensation? I've got mine playing next to a sg1. And I can barely hear it. Maybe my speakers are stuffed?

Yes they will, i've sent mine in as well. I got a new one after 2 weeks -.-.
When playing music, it feels like the music is playing in the background, right?
Good luck, you will get a new one (I have anyways)

If you are a laptop "engineer" you should have known that its impossible , not because OG has same amount of memory but because RAM is not attached to the motherboard socket in a traditional way, it is soldered by robots in the factory
Hey thanks for the info...I saw 1gb rom and thought it was RAM...so is there any way from ONE S?

Most parts, except for wire connectors to screen, are surface mount, including ram, rom, and the emmc. You'll destroy the device before you can melt rhv solder enough to remove the part.
