I have looked and done research on rooting the Ainol Novo 7 ELF. None of the guides are real clear cut. I have seen a couple of guides but which is the most successful, and should I update to 4.0.3 first?
Also has anyone seen this guide? http://blog.g4team.com/?p=5550

I know this is not the viewpad 10 forum but there doesn't seem to be one, I'm looking for a guide on rooting my vpad10 and installing a custom rom. Any ideas please? I need this as I can't get gapps on the stock install!!!
The Viewpad 10 doesn't need rooting I believe since it's using the x86 image of Android. Google search for the Froyo update too (I would link you too it but I have under 8 posts)

Since we don't have a forum for your device, you may ask on these threads to see if that'd work for your device.
I'm brand spanking new to rooting and I'm trying to learn to root my IdeaTab S6000-F. The XDA start guide said to read, read, read but where's the first chapter? Everywhere I go they're already throwing words like apk, exploits, xposed, modules, superuser, su binary, etc. What the hell are those things?
I wouldn't mind having a step-by-step to rooting my tablet to an android 5.1 but I guess you guys don't have my tablet supported? I see Yoga and ThinkPad but they're not compatible with IdeaTab. Yoga has similar specs but there was a post that said rooting via the same way as Yoga failed. ThinkPad have different processors than IdeaTab so I don't think any of those guides help. I did find this link (primehowto.com/root-lenovo-ideatab-s6000f-running-android-4-2-2-jelly-bean/) but there's been a couple of threads saying any outside help threads are fake so I don't know who to trust.

Hi,
Total Newbie here so sorry if this question seems silly or otherwise!!
I have dug my old, redundant Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7" out from the drawer with the intention of using it in the car to operate my GoPro Hero 3. Only snag is the tablet is running 4.1 and The official GoPro app needs 4.4 or above to work.
So im looking for an idiots guide to booting and upgrading if possible., or for someone to show me how to complete the process step ny step. I have tried to look on the interweb for a guide, but there are several, mainly conflicting, guides that I have looked at. None of these seem to make sense to a complete newbie.
Thanks in advance for any help!!
OK
Don't use cwm, it is fully outdated and support for it stopped long time ago.
Go and find twrp for your device.

Hello, this is my first post on the XDA forums! I've recently bought a tablet, the Asus ZenPad z8s (P00J). I'm looking to give this tablet a second life by installing a lightweight version of Android, upgrading in the process. Searching on Google and there isn't much to work with. Looking at other XDA forums there is the ZenPad 8 and that specific tablet has loads of support. Not sure if they can work interchangeably. Any advice? Please let me know. Thank You!
Already running on Android Oreo, the latest available for this tablet?
