So, I got my goophone y5 (new model after september 1st) and i have a problem with google play and gmail. whenever i try to launch one of these apps it wont start. just crashes. The gmail also crashes even when i try to connect through the mail app. I tried to do this

but in the step that says to rename the Market.app, that file is missing and i cannot find it anywhere.
I read some solutions about flashing gapps but i have no idea about how to do that and if it helps. I also tried to clear gmail and google store cache with no result. anyone can help? thank you!

Hello, I got my Goophone Y5 last week. You must push the "-" Button and then Power on. Then you get into the recovery mode.

Goophone Y5 Android 4.1.5
Hi guys,
It's my first post here. I ordered a Goophone Y5 from androidforcheap last December 26th, and just received the unit last January 7. I went on to root it right away, trying to follow instructions I found on youtube. Once rooted, I tried to flash the phone with WhiteTiger's V3 ROM, but the Flash Tool always says Incorrect Scatter Format. Thinking that I could just copy and paste all apps, I went on and moved all apps from WhiteTiger's ROM to my Apps folder using ES File Explorer. To make the story short, this proved to be a wrong move as I think most apps were overwritten with WhiteTiger's ROM apps. As such, everytime I reboot the phone, Superuser, along with some other apps like igallery and world clock crash and do not work. I have to re-install all these crashed apps using ES File Explorer everytime. Running in to this trouble, that's the only time I though of running an Antutu test. This is also the only time that I find out that the phone was running on Android 4.1.5.
Anyway, basically, my question is, could there be a way to return the phone back to original settings and apps? I tried the reset option on the phone's General Settings, but it never got back to the state it was in when I first got it.
I hope you guys can help me so I would not have wasted money on this phone. I know it was also a wrong move to get too excited about installing apps without really researching first.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit:
Has anyone bought a Goophone Y5 between December 2012 to January 2013? Does your version have Android 4.1.5? Could you please send me stock apps for this? Thanks!
I got googleplay working
Hi!
There is a way to get playstore working.
To get this working you will need some files to be replaced with the ones that are present on the phone.
First you will need to root your phone! There is a post on XDA giving instructions how to update the phone with the last firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729056
After you flash the phone with the last firmware it will be already rooted.
To get the Playstore working you will need to copy some apk's to /system/apps/.
To copy this files into the folder you will need a file explorer (ES File Manager) for example.
Some of the apk's are:
Vending.apk
Googlesync.apk
and some more.
I've a goophone y5 bought on thecheapchoice.com. They have good prices and a very good service.
My goophone didn't have PlayStore and some apps were in chinese. I've edited some apk's and i got everything working.
I recommend this phone to everyone who wants an iphone styled phone running android software.
It is a fast phone with a good camera, the gps works well as the wifi. The retina screen got me amazed by its quality. This is not a cheap clone as we see in other places. It is very well made and have exactly the same structure, screen and battery as the iphone 4s. They are so equal that you can replace goophone parts with an original iphone 4s.
I'll try to upload all the files you need into this post today.
Regards,

goophone of me use os 2.3.6. all you can help me send rom new to me
Hi I have a Kocaso M9100 and I flashed the rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189640.
Ive done this but now my screen doesn't work, nor my wifi. I had backed up my stock image but had backed it up to internal memory so it got wiped when i flash the CM rom. I have no idea what the specs are for my touch screen or g sensor to find a compatibility patch. Please can someone help me I really need the stock flash image to return the device back to stock or at least the correct compatibility patch to make the screen work again..
EDIT:
I emailed the company and they sent me an email to the firmware I needed.
Click Here for the list of firmwares for the Kocaso M9100. Be sure to check the Serieal Number Checklist.txt to ensure that you download the right firmware.
Once done, click here for the instructions to install it. Basically you have to make a bootable sdcard.
Hope this helps all the other people out there like me who screwed up.
Hi everyone,
I am new to rooting stuff and this forum. I have a lg g2 at&t D800. I wanted to flash rom because of its dark camera issue. I rooted my phone first using ioroot based on instructions from this forum and some other source. I checked my phone I have root access now.
Then, I changed my mind. One thing it is my of control. There are too many stuff to learn. Also, the current os is not too bad.
Anyway, I did not go any further. All the software stays the same as before. I did not flash anything. I even did factory reset afterwards. The only thing changed is that I have root access now.
Can I get still official update and update my phone? Will it mass up my phone?
Thanks in advance!
Okay this is my very first post. Let me start off by saying this is like my second Android phone. Previously I had the Galaxy J1 thru verizon but never had any issues. All my other phones have been all iPhones and I don't know anything about Android rooting/flashing etc. I've switched to Android recently after having practically every iPhone since the original. My problem is that I rooted the Amp 2 following the instructions from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/galaxy-2-rootable-t3384285/page4. It worked, the main reason why I decided to root the phone was to gain more system memory which I'm disqusted that Android takes up a lot of it's OS or w.e in its system memory and to bypass Cricket's stupid tethering block on the $60 plan without the mobile hotspot. Once I flashed the file provided via odin and rooted with kingroot, I would get a security notice that unauthorized changes have been made and that I would need to reboot my device, that was fine with me but I did so only to find that the message still appears every fifteen minutes so I disabled it with the package disable pro that I bought on the google play store. The problem I'm having is that I can't encrypt my phone and
SD card. Everytime I try to do so it wont work and I can't even get the SD card to mount properly so I unrooted the phone with kingroot and restored my phone back to factory. Still the same issue.... For whatever reason, it wont let me encrypt the phone again and I cannot get back whatever pictures from my SD card I had and a backup of all my contacts I imported from my J1. All I wanted was to try a custom recovery and ROM but I want to make the phone stock again because I been having so much issues. Like I've stated before I don't know anything on Android rooting and flashing, only iPhone jailbreaks. If somebody can help me out that will be great. I understand that the phone was given to me for free by porting over my number and that I can easily get another Android for cheap but all I want to do is get some assistance.
I downloaded the stock ROM file but I can't seem to flash it in Odin or using the recovery mode if that makes sense to anybody reading this thread. I've tried clicking the AP box to select my file but its a zip file and I can't get it to work.
Helppppp
Bump need help recovering back to a stock ROM. I must of screwed something up. I've downloaded the stock Rom over the internet but I can't seem to get it to work by Odin. CAN SOMEBODY HELP CUZ I CAN'T EVEN DOWNLOAD ANY APPS OFF GOOGLE PLAY!! PLZ HELPPPP
