Best thing to do is hit the link below and read the first page and the last 10 pages. If you get stuck check his sig. His irc chat should be there.

I don't know what the deal is, maybe my pc just sucks. I've installed the hack file and I read the manuel. The process fails everytime, it tells me either USB debugging isn't enabled, my phone isn't connected or the drivers are not installed. It can only be the drivers, so I read that the drivers are included in the file, ill try and install them and it fails everytime. I have no idea what it could be.

Install HTC sync from the HTC website, turn off your antivirus, make sure USB debugging is enabled, put in the SD Card you want to make a goldcard out of, hook up your phone and let 'er rip.

It does, what I think he ment was when you install HTC sync it also installs the drivers. When you uninstall it you have the option of keeping the drivers which is what you want

is the ituneshelper.exe running? if not, try killing that process via task manager.
Ill try and reinstall sync just for the drivers.

The options are to remove or fix, if I hit fix it just does the same thing over again, if I hit remove, than it just removes whatever is there. I'm stuck.

Bummer... Well I hope installing sync does the trick. Other than that, do you have access to another computer you can do all this on?

I have a super slow net book which I already tried, It gives me the same issues when installing the drivers.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
You can have htc installed you just have to shut it down. When you first plug in your phone htc sync will start up. In your system icon tray there will be a little phone icon. Right click it and hit exit. If htc is actually running ace hack kit won't start.

Kies Mini can install the needed drivers. Try uninstalling the ones you have then select "Install Drivers" from the menu.
If you don't want to try that route but want the stock 2.3.6 from Samsung (which is what Kies would install), then you can use ODIN. RaverX3X has an ODINable version of it here.

A rooted stock KB5/KC1/KD1 will work. If you're using a custom version of any of those roms you won't be able to upgrade.
Hey I need to restore my Tab 5113 to factory stock to return it. Anybody able to point me in the direction with the appropriate files, and possibly instructions. Thanks

Hi!
The fastest solution is installing Kies and force emergency firmware installation.

Isn't that just unrooting? I am on cm10 and I think running that might cause a problem.

Quick question- Can I install Samsung stock firmware in Android system recovery (3e) through the option that says "apply update from external storage?"
I am asking this rather than just doing it from Odin b/c for some reason my phone wont go into download mode.
No. You'd need to get a signed zip from Samsung and good luck on that.
Edit Why don't you use kies of all you want is stock jb?

You don't need kies, just the infuse device drivers. Install the smaller of the two files available here:

You need to visit that link from your pc, and install the drivers on your pc. If you use your phone it will redirect to an invalid address, as you have seen.
The other drivers psal linked are newer but should still work...
