[THREAD CLOSED by OP] - HTC Sensation

MOD EDIT: As of November 7th CoreDroid officially moved all its support to another site.
Due to repeated kanging from other Roms as well as needing CST paid version to obtain the latest version of the Rom, anything related to the CoreDroid team is not allowed to be posted anymore on XDA and is from now on considered warez.
This includes: Signatures, links, themes, as well as any work developed by the CD team or included in any Rom.
TL;dr: If you included anything from CD in your work, you have to remove it.
We appreciate your understanding on the matter in hand,
XDA Moderation team

Those apps are Non-System apps and will be added to Post #3 shortly.

Very handy and useful, Thanks

Very cool! Even though I don't have the Sensation, I can still mod your version for my Inspire, depending on The app. Thanks....

Nice thread mate, linked the apps from this thread also to the evo3d forum so people there can enjoy the apps too (i hope you can count downloads )
If you dont like that just say so please and i will remove the links.

Thanks for the note of thanks! I don't have a problem with you linking directly to the apps, however it would be nice to see a link back to this thread as well. It will also help your users better understand how and where the apps originated.
Even more important, however, would be to get Sergio's approval. The real work, here, was painstakingly completed by Sergio and the CoreDroid team over a long period of time and countless hours of effort. My efforts consist of taking his work and simply re-applying it to applications as they are updated. If he's fine with it, then I certainly am as well. At a minimum, Sergio should be credited in your ROM as well as the application updates post.

TKruzze, Check your PM.

One more thing... I just downloaded your Blue Ice 3D v2.5 ROM and took a look inside. I notice you have multiple copies of Google Maps installed:com.google.android.apps.maps-1.apk
com.google.android.apps.maps.apk
as well as multiple copies of Street View:com.google.android.street-1.apk
com.google.android.street.apk
Also, there's an older version of facebook (Facebook_Client.apk) in there as well. Because there's a name conflict with the system version included in my facebook zip files, your users may experience problems if they flash my zip files. You might want to double-check each zip to make certain these conflicts are addressed.
One thing I do is I make certain that my zip files only replace existing versions of the original files from the CoreDroid ROM. While I haven't spent more than a couple minutes looking through your ROM, it does appear there may be conflicts in flashing my zip files with your ROM.

Updated Standard (non-system) Apps are now on-line
Post # 3 has been updated with the latest standard (non-system) apps. Feel free to use these apps on ANY compatible Android device.

New Apps Added to List (Adobe Reader & Adober Flash Player)
I just found a couple of apps I neglected to share earlier. These apps were updated a while ago, however they are newer than the versions included with CoreDroid Sensation v5.1.
Adobe Reader v10.2.1 has been added to Updated System Apps (Post #2)
Adobe Flash Player v11.1.115.8 has been added to Updated Standard Apps (Post #3)
If you download and/or appreciate these updates, please hit the "Thanks" button to let me know.

TKRUZZE...thank you for this thread! We spoke about a month ago for a few modded apps but now I'm currently running the rooted stock T-Mobile US ICS. I know eventually ill be back on coredroid and when I do, I know where to look if I need an update! Thanks again my man!

It took a little time to get everything set up. It would have been up sooner, but I was out of town for work this week and stuck at a hotel with the slowest download/upload speeds in America (seriously downloading ROMs in number of bytes per second).
Glad to be back home and able to get everything else set up and posted. I hope people enjoy.

It worked just fine for me (I just double checked, using the CM6 ROM for base to be sure). It does take a little while after you click the 'Serve Me!' button for it to come up. Then it takes you to another page, and says 'Preparing your rom..' for a bit, then the download link will pop up.
When the link comes up, it will still say 'Preparing,' even though it is done. The link comes up on the left side the add box below, so it is easy to miss. It will say 'Your rom is ready for download' and provide a link.
cool idea OP...just wondering about the Cyanogen build. Is it based on the nightly?

Did you upload your own app? If so you HAVE to upload your own app in zip file.
WOW cool idea worked fine flashed fine using damage base. I love it. One thing does it deox?
How about all the basics like zipalign etc? Are those all default to whatever you use as a base?
Some of the base roms you have listed have different versions. As an example is OMJ...he has 3 versions (w/kernel, w/o kernel and deodexed). How can we tell which one is part of the program?
If I can make a suggestion, in so many people here like to theme, if a choice is to be made you use the deodexed versions.

Whenever possible, I have included deodexed versions. I didn't know OMJ had multiple versions, so I will check what is there and update the OP to be more specific about versions for that and others (probably in the morning).

To my knowledge the kitchen does none of those things. I know dsixda's kitchen is a bit more in-depth, including those features, but this is a lot more basic. Assume all ROMs default to whatever the original developer has done (so, for example, Fresh Evo does zipalign on load, but the stock ROM does not).

The CM base that is provided is the release candidate. Check the link in the OP for the post. I cannot keep up with the CM nightlies, so the kitchen will likely only be updated with major releases (if there is a RC2, or when the final comes out). Sorry for the inconvenience.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=746276
So if the base rom that I select already was deox... zipaligned etc etc then I'm safe to assume thats how it gets recooked?
It would be cool if you can take some apps from another ROM and place it into your base ROM..
Very cool implementation of the kitchen. Nice work! One of my favorite features is making stock apps uninstallable by moving them to /data/app. Save you the headache of using adb or something like root explorer to manually delete an apk for something you don't want.
Is there any way that explanations of the files could be posted that are shown. The applications may or may not also make sense as they sometimes use internal HTC names. Yes, I know, asking a lot, but it might help those of us who don't know what all the files listed in the first section are for.
Is there any way to change boot animation? I saw on the Nexus One kitchen it was possible...
Skype Beta?
i saw in the kitchen one of your selectable apps is skype for video calls is there a apk for that anywhere
Little OT but where can i just get the Skype apk you have in your kitchen?
Thanks
everything looks great!
only idea and question which comes to mind as im stepping through the menus and options - version numbers for the applications to be added in?
example, wifi tether - what version number is this?
Would it make sense to have an option to include Netarchy's kernel for the ROMs that didn't already have it?

I'd like to share a rare app with everyone

I've had this apk since I grabbed my Droid on release day, since then I've noticed it's been removed and I find others are seeking it. If anyone would like the ultra-cool Cents Clock(App+Widget) v1.6 - I'll send to anyone upon request.
HINT: If you can't figure out what apk it is simply Google the name and you'll find out everything you need to know about it.

You're okay to share the app. It's free and you're basically just saying you prefer it over whats given in the stock version of Android and that you'd like people to check it out.
However, if it's a PAID app; then that's different. You can talk about it; but under no circumstances can you POST it here on the forums, unless given consent to do so by the author of app. I see no reason why you should be afraid of stating your opinion about your app choices, continue doing so.

Could one of the moderators please allow me to attach files to my posts and PM's. I can't put up a working link right now and it would be easier to just include a link to the apk from right here.

I have tried to send the apk via email to whomever has asked for it - it is NOT A MOD - it is simply an apk that was listed on the Market then removed. Nothing more nothing less.

Thank you very much
Thanks, ive been looking for this since they replaced it with the new garbage 4.0 version.
4.0.0 is actually a stable version, despite the new interface
i have managed to get it with Market Enabler, and comparing to the last **** buggy version, i can actually parallel browse the web without sound glitches and interruptions caused by the bad coding of v3. also another solved bug, on my phone, no matter what rom or kernel i used, iheartradio v3 only worked glitch free minimised in the background. whenever i opened it, it worked great for few seconds, and suddenly the constant glitching started. how stupid was that.
v4 is amazing! although it might consume a bit more of bandwidth while downloading a background image cover for each song ... and there's missing the song name from the task bar, the name of the radio replaced that
anyway, stable as hell!!!! and now i can actually play games in parallel, it's that lite!
Bump
OP updated to V4 for those who need/want it.
I know V4 is stabler then V3. Its an issue with the interface. Its looks cheap and gawdy compared to the black V3 interface, its not as quick, and i have to sign in to facebook now just to save my favorite stations. Ill deal with the audio cutting out for a second every now and then to keep the old version.
Please dont ever take down the link in case we need it later on.

new update with more bugs solved
i wish they'd extend the buffering, because i'm always losing 3g signal in the bus while switching between sector antennas, and reconnecting takes annoying seconds... - edit: aparently we 'might' have an extended buffer in this version

after a lot of google research in restricted market apps, i have found market enabler, but the market was updated so it will not work with ME. the only fix is to uninstall the updated market, but that crashed my phone.
so anyway, i have tried the appbrain app and it actually redirects your phone to the restricted market app install page
happy updating
i can confirm that the small buffer bug has been fixed! this app is almost perfect
And think how much simpler it would have been to just upload the file! lol

I use Astro File Manager (free app). Dolphin browser (also free app) does great with downloads from the web. I then Open Astro, Use Astro's Search feature to search for "apk" or "netflix", then you can install the APK file from there.

Okay, I'm quite sure this is an utterly stupid question, but I've dug around in the FAQ's and the general forums and can't see an answer so I'm going to risk being flamed as a noob to ask. When I try loading the link (above) for the Netflix app, I consistently get a message that I do not have permission to access the page, and that new users (with under 10 posts) aren't permitted to POST to the Devel forums.
I'm not trying to post - just to access the thread, and since it says "To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums." I assume that I should be able to view the thread. Am I missing something incredibly stupid and obvious, or doing something wrong, or is it just that you're unable to even view anything in the development-related forums until you have more than 10 posts?
Thanks to anyone who is kind enough to reply and open my eyes on this. If you really want to flame me for being a noob feel free, but it won't bother me any. I know my status, and my limits.
Adios!

The red is fine, that's the version I was looking for anyways. I wouldn't have minded it as much if it were clear that it was part of the noob restrictions, but it seemed like the message was saying two different things so I wasn't sure.

[Q] Would post in Developers Forums but need at least 10 Posts.....

I did a search and could not readily find the answer......
Is Gapps.zip also required with DJ ICS+ V1.0.3 also?
I root and upgraded my Sam Tab 10.1. It required Gapps.zip. Also it also auto downloaded all of the apps from my Marketplace library. On the Skyrocket each apps has to be re-downloaded. Would installing Gapps.zip, if even possible on the Skyrocket, add any missing baseline apps and do the auto download of the library?

same thing, google wouldnt restore anything I had unless I was using AOSP or something cm7.
So been using DJ ICS+ V1.0.3 for a while now. The aesthetics are excellent and it appears to be very stable. So I have to say the folks that worked on this did a really good job. However, benchmarking this load shows about a 20% decrease in performance compared to a stock 2.3.5, even when clocked at 1.7Ghz versus the stock 1.5Ghz.
I could be doing something error but the load works very well. Perhaps FauxClock is not working correctly.
The numbers from AnTuTu are:
Stock 2.3.5 - 6053
DJ ICS+ V1.0.3(2.3.6) - 4834
This is apparently not a full ICS build which is fine it has a good look and feel but it is at the expense of some performance.
So before the flames start, I am not complaining. Just merely pointing out some fact for anyone looking to some this or the new to be updates load(rom).
I would have posted this in the development forum but still don't have 10 posts.....
FWIW,
Rob

Your thread would have been deleted if your question had been posted at the development forums. That is why we have Q&A forums. This is the right place to ask you questions.
Please familiarize yourself with the XDA Forum Rules.
Good you didn't have 10 posts to make your question there yet, didn't you
Ok, being part of several forums that rule is certainly not intuitive.
So since this is the correct forum post how about a response?
Seems like the folks creating the ROM would be interested in the feedback and be best to provide some insight. Don't seem to be getting it here.....
Or did I miss the response?
Also, I read the rules and I did not see anything that would suggest that this post in the Developers Forums would have been removed. Do the rules change as the moderators deem fit???????

I was thinking of installing the gapps for the same reason. Not so much the apps for me, but on my AOSP phones/roms google saved all my wifi passwords that alone is worth checking out because I have a lot that are a pain in the ass to enter on a phone.

but GAPPS are the same versions of the apps that are already included in the rom...
this is a TOUCHWIZ issue, until you remove Samsungs crap UI, it will remain an issue
installing GAPPS from CM will yield no benefit.....

Didn't know this. Thanks! I recently fired up my old Nexus S 4G and it was nice that everything just worked, loaded, and connected after I unput my google account info. Every android phone should do this.
