Selling Captivate

I know some of you have either sold or thought about selling your phones just wanted to know how much you have been offered or how much you would ask to sell on Craigslist. Phone is in very good condition no scratches or anything anywhere. Cause I'm thinking about selling it to get the Inspire 4G

a guy on here sold his carbon fiber skin wrapped captivate on ebay for well over 200 bucks, unlocked, rooted and romed!

I paid $300 for my captivate a couple months ago. It came with a 32gb sd card and an extra battery.

I would just sell mine with the soft case, 16GB card and rooted/unrooted, stock/custom ROM however the person would want hopefully I can get at least 200

whatever you do you want it UNLOCKED to any carrier. its the first thing most people will look for if they arent one of us...

They have been selling ~250$ shipped.

The problem would still be finding an Inspire for a good price...

no krylon it doesnt come with anything extra
just the phone, usb charger/wal charger and a battery... (sim card too)
the UK version OPTIMUS 2X comes with headphone and a hdmi cable
gotta order that stuff separate!

The SK-2008 also didn't have 8GB of internal storage so a memory card was required to have any music. Plus, why would you want them to include a 512MB card? When I got my Sidekick, that card went immediately into storage and will never be used, just way too small.

It does. At first I thought it was an SDHC slot, but it's a plastic, hinged piece that was designed to hold a SIM card. Apparently they canned the feature?

they do have two versions, one of which has gsm 4g plus gps, but the gsm version is never released.

They were going to have it on ATT and they probably decided to go cheap by using the same shell

Mine has the same thing but if you look hard, the piece does not come out and there is no real place where a SIM card could go. Also, look at both sides of the pop out- On the back side you will see that the little card has the typical part number and serial number that isn't stamped anywhere else on the tablet.

0:35. Obviously didn't go forward into production but too late to re-tool the molds. I suspect the tray has a pop-up feature to keep it from being pulled out of the case.

Memoette SDXC Micro SD?

Picked up a 32 Gb micro SD card from CEX made by these guys. Supposedly a class 10 card, with transfer speeds of approximately 1Mb, yes tats right ladies and gents.
1 MB!!!!!
Surely this isnt right, do you think ive been had and it might be a fake? Or do you think i have formatted it wrong?

I heard that those cards don't hold up to its full capacity. Try filling the card up.

Then you probably did fromat it the right way, I never trusted that brand. My 32gb micro sd card has 29.7gb available. Btw my card is a Sandisk.

That's my whole capacity. I don't think its supposed to be 30.7. Just try filling up the card.

yep its ****, i put 23 Gb worth of music on there, and it rubbed off leaving me with 5 Gb....

I have had so many negative experiences with micro sd cards, but since i brought my PNY 16 gig all has been fine.
Sucks when crap like you mention happens.

sounds like a fake, I don't trust unknown cards anymore... memory reliability is very important to me, try to get a refund if you can!

good news is i bought from CEX which is a hardware store and they only had one in stock, i trust CEX with my heart as they are awesome, and i dont think they would have knowingly done this and sold me it, they explained today when i took it back that they were sorry.
I said it was fine and it happens, but they said they couldnt do anything till they had fully tested it, so i said not to worry and they gave me a microSD adaptor to see if it could make any difference and sadly it didnt... ,
I will take it back and let them test it and ill tell them to load lots of data on it and see where it goes xd , thats what happened to me
So i fight on

These memorette microsd are pure garbage. Just google them, you'll see a load of people with problems.
Stick with the legit makers, don't skimp on your data storage.

I currently have a HTC EVO for sprint and was going to buy the N4....but after the N4 going out of stock in less than 20 minutes in the US today, I have decided to get the SG3 for verizon this weekend. I honestly don't see why everyone has such a problem with no SD card slot on phones. You really need to carry so much info with you in your pocket?
That's what I have a computer for. And dropbox/Google drive.
I wish more phone makers would move away from slots and removable batteries. The phones would be more sleek and have more room for other features

I was immediately interested in this phone until I saw these two items.
I could probably live with the limited storage, but I will NEVER buy a phone with a non-removeable battery.

I can understand that, but I've actually already filled up my 32gb gs3. Even still 16gb isn't bad and I personally don't care too much about a non removable battery. However, the dna's battery sounds relatively small for the high spec guts it has plus that 1080 lcd.
That's also not to mention how bleak the prospect of development seems. Not to bash it, but the gs3 still has some pros

I'm already suffering the issues of low memory with my 16GB of space. Downloaded Need for Speed Most Wanted and that took a large chunk of space. already have other games that are taking up 7GB of space alone. then god forbid if i want to download some lossless songs from Spotify. thats almost 400MB an album. I can't put that on the SD card, unless i'm missing something in the way spotify saves music.
So Yes. I do need to carry that much info on my phone.

In a word, yes. All of my music is FLAC encoded; my 32GB S3 is totally full, and the 32GB MicroSD I have in it has about 3GB left, and that's just from about 50-100 albums. Honestly, I'd love a 128GB MicroSD right now... plus where I am 3G is unusable (40KB/s down D: ) and thus streaming makes absolutely no sense for me. No SD card slot makes any phone a no-buy for me.

Its not 16gb its really
11gb useable storage.
I just cant live with that.
GOOGLE and LG did the same thing with the Nexus 4
Conspiracy time: why put so little storage?
Maybe to force people to use PAY cloud based storage like Drive and backup assistant.
Dont forget the data charges store and access those GB of cloud data.

Games nowdays can be over a gig and I have 6gb+ of music. Not everyone wants to use the cloud to stream music and movies. Not only does it kill your battery but if you are in a bad area for signal you are SOTL. I also always have some movies on my phone for my 3 year old when we go out to dinner it keeps her calm. I have a 32gb gs3 and a 64gb card I don't have to worry about space on my phone.

exactly what i was thinking!

I should have added this: I wish phone makers would move away from SD card slots, however, give higher internal storage options.
Like I said before, I personally have no use for large storage space because I have my laptop for that. Plus my car has a built in hard drive for music and that's really the only time I listen to music. I can see how other users fill up fast, though. 128GB GS4, anyone? Lol
