Hi,
could anybody please tell me how I can get a transparent status bar under CM7.2?
I tried some zips that were made for other phones but, as I expected, they all made the status bar process crash.

Buy the app, support the developer. It's what, $5? Is it so difficult to spend $5 to get a feature you want so badly?

ROM Toolbox is feature rich...custom boot animations, font changer, transition customisations.
Great app. Worth the money. If you never pay for apps, then you put up with not having the features.

You can do a lot better than this now. Check my siggy for reference/guide to get u started on customization.

You placed the icon on a black transparent background. I want to do that to!
Re: Launcher Pro (THEMES)
I used the background of a froyo themed. Launcher and changed the dimensions to fit then placed the icons on top of each one

For the people that are having trouble installing, make sure you uninstall the previous version you've got installed
Unfortunately still didn't work for me

So i was thinking it might look really clean to be able to erase the app name under the icons and just have icons.... Maybe we can get a developer to work on this? Anyone else like this idea?
I think GOlauncher gives you that option.

Try Launcher Pro, there is an option there too.

You can do it for the homescreen icons with an app like Desktop Visualizer but doing it that way for ALL homescreen icons is a PITA too.
Adw ex does it.

Sense is not customizable, launchers are. If customizing and changing settings is a pia... well that's what the i*hone is for right ;-)
I recommend adw. You can make it look identical to sense if you like the look, and it has that option.

my rosie is modded to the t. transparent app drawer, my name on all apps bar, cyan text color. its not easy but possible. to remove the names under the apps you just change the text color value to #00000000. full transparency. you need a knowledge of apktool and decompiling and compiling

That's more of a pita then just downloading a new launcher and hitting the setting to remove the labels.

Did I add you have to be really smart?
Just saying sense is customizable. Once you know it it really doesn't take that much time or effort. The phone is designed to run sense. It just makes sense

I never said it wasn't customizable, but the OP doesn't want to have to do anything that is a "pita" and/or takes too much time.

Why does everyone who frequent this site beg for things but don't want to put in work to even achieve it? Seriously, you don't even want to do something as download a launcher to get what you wanted done? *facepalm, end rant*

All he did was ask if it could be done and if others would be interested. He likes the stock look of Sense and probably being able to use Sense widgets, which cannot be done with ADW or LP. Calm down there big boy, take some deep breaths, everything will be ok.

No, you are definitely not sol. Just use "better cut" or "desktop visualizer" and delete the names of the apps on your homescreens. Very simple and can be done in under 5 min.
ok, a few years back, my windows phone had this really cool app, it was a bar across the top that was 1 or 2 pixels tall, multi colored that displayed the amount of battery left. someone told me it was in a rom, but I can't find it to save my life. maybe one of you has seen it or knows which mod, or anything about it, because I would LOVE to have that stupid little bar back.
Thanks
Pat.

It's built in to Cyanogen mod, if that's available for your particular decide. Not multi color as far as I know though.

sorry if im mistaken, i dont think this feature is on cyanogen mod. It is however on most of the 'MIUI' roms, i think it is standard on there.
Is this possible to have standalone? This would complete my device.

damn, wish it was standalone.. I'm pretty loyal to my current rom, at least until I get the new samsung infuse or whatever it's called.

hoping for a port

tried an miui sd build (by 3dak, very smooth build) and the top bar is sweeeet. a thin green line which filles up from the right when its charging, and on lockscreen.
i want, i want, want, but i dont want miui ;-)
it would be worth a few dollars even as a paid app,
anyone???
is this possible or is it a huge pain in the butt? Specifically I want to make the Facebook widget have a transparent or black background. I am trying to get an all black theme going. I think I already know this is probably way more work than its worth but is this do able?

i dont know the exact answer but,
it could be a custom rom and part of the rom script.
im sure if you were rooted and had the icons and knew which ones to switch, it could be done that way.
a more slim but possible way would be with an exposed module that allows custom nav bar icons. i dont know if that exist or not. i know there are some preset nav bar customizations.
hope that gives you some directions to look into anyways.
