Hi all,
i have a xda trion all set up with correct settings for sending and receiving Multimedia messages ,but for some reason my internet explorer opens to try and get the message , instead of arcsoft and pocket outlook. As my o2 is a payg sim PIE cant connect ,page cannot be displayed message appears. Yet i can send MMS messages with no problems.
I know i can change the settings to allow PIE internet access and get the message but i want it to show in my MMS inbox. I have tried reflashing the latest o2 rom more than once ,to rectify this but it still doesnt work, can anybody tell me why it is doing this, or better still tell me how to fix it. It was working fine till i hard reset
Any help is appreciated
nobody can help. Oh well no more sexy pics of my girlfriend for me

If i click on it, phone freeze for cca 3minute, and after that, there is sign sms cannot be send.. I dont really know where is the problem..
What i tried

Hard reset - still dont working
Refreshing rom from SE page - still dont working

same happens with me
It's exactly the same happened with me. What I did is as following:
Settings>connections>mobile data> SMS service
And change the "SMS over" to "GSM preferred".
It was by default "GPRS" and I think when the internet connection is lost the mobile freezes when trying to send SMS in this case ... I don't know what is the meaning of sending the SMS over GPRS as it should belong to the GSM... it's originally a GSM service.
Try it and you'll see
Gano

I have noticed that if im on wifi go sms wont work right. As soon as I turn off wifi no problem (You cant send mms via wifi). The default app seems to trun off wifi briefly while it sends out mms. So I either turn of wifi when sending mms with go sms or just use the default app to send my mms.

I've had my Nexus 5 for about two weeks now. I've just tried sending a Picture Message for the first time with this phone, but it keeps failing?
I'm on a Vodafone 4G contract, but I'm at home so I'm connected to my WiFi. I've tried downloading ChompSMS which is what I used to use on my previous phone, but it still failed. I've also tried 8SMS which resembles the original Android Messaging App, but no joy?
I've just tried disabling WiFi, and it managed to send the message?!
What's going on? Do I really need to disable WiFi every time I want to send MMS???

you need network data connection to send mms, not wifi. mms go through your carrier, thats why they charge for it. if you could send mms over wifi, they couldnt charge you for it.
You shouldn't need to disable WiFi to send SMS. That's really strange.

I'm sure he typo'd. Either way, you shouldn't have to disable wifi to send MMS. Yes.. you need a data connection to the carrier, but that doesn't mean you should have to disable wifi to do it... I'm waiting for my N5 to show up and have been browsing around here in the mean time... If this is true, then it's definitely a bug as it hasn't affected any other android device I've had from android 2.0 through 4.3. I frequently send MMS while on wifi and it's smart enough to route it through mobile data in the background.

I've had loads of Android devices too, and this is the first time this has happened. When your phone turns up, please try it and let me know?
i am the one that is wrong here, it should send the mms even though wifi is connected. i tried earlier, and it didnt send(turned out that person changed their number). so i tried again, a different number, and it sent.
Hey gang,
Just a question about send and receive MMS. My old HTC ONE V, when I would send or receive a mms. The phone would automatically turn on my mobile data to do so. I find that with my Nexus 5. I have to turn on my data manually to get or send a picture. Is there a way to set the phone up to do this automatically?
I would try a custom Rom. I know the latest version of task650 unofficial AOKP disables data on Wi-Fi and enables when needed for mms.
