[Q] I am Totally MAD About Root my Phone Xperia S :(

Hello to all users, my name is Ali FROM PAKISTAN!! and I am NEW on this Forum!! and i 1000% trust on this Website. but What is the meaning of XDA :? lol
So my problem: How to root my Xperia S with new ICS 4.0.4 Build Number: 6.1.A.2.45 (Kernel Version: 3.0.8+1.021100-30145-01956-g43358ca) i don't know what is this Kernel Version Beseband Version. because i am not developer.
I finaly Search the most of thread on this forum, but i am confused with all thread posts and other forums.
I read this:HOW TO ROOT XperiaS UNLOCKED/LOCKED but i really don't understand if how i root in ICS !!!
For example i don't understand ""Currently the method used for rooting with locked BL is for GB only (you cannot flash a pre-rooted image with locked BL).. SO if you are on ICS and not rooted, you first need to flash to GB""
But how can i back GB ? how to root my Xperia S :crying: :crying:
Remember one More thing.... i don't want to unlocked my phone it means Root Xperia S with New ICS 6.1.A.2.45 Locked Bootloader.. (i dont know about bootloader) i thought its easy to root any phone :/ but i am wrong. hi to everyone, this is my first post on this forum,
I have yet some experiences with root (I rooted my past phone: a "chinaphone" B1000+, android 2.3.6).
I would root, and mod with cyanogen, my Sony Xperia Tipo ST21i,
11.0.A.0.26,
Android 4.0.4
I red a lot on the net about how to root this device.
i tried some software but nothing to works.
Have i to unlock bootloader before??
can someone help me?

Hello, I have a Sony Tipo ST21i (guessing it's the same as yours) my firmware is 11.0.A.0.16 and I'm ICS 4.0.4.
I managed to root my device just fine using this method

well, i did its yesterday but doesn't work.
someone said to use V13, I found its, but nothing to be done. I'm Ubuntu user and I used sudo command to run the program.

you cant root .22 with that method u should downgrade to.16 ,root it , than upgrade to .22 but also u can root the current firmware with unlockroot program search on google its free for sony i successfully rooted it yesterday.

yes I have yet this program, I've tried to talk with them on skype to know what I have to write in "serial number" case: the manual say that I need its!
did you use unlockphone to unlock bootloader too?

today the phone advised me that is possible tu upgrade at 11.0.A.4.22,
have I to upgrade or is better what we say in message 4 e 5?
does Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 able to root this firmware?

ok, I did , very easy, with "unlockroot", do not need any code or serial number but it was not funny as root a chinese phon
can I updete to new firmer (11.0.A.4.22) version without lost root?

Xperia J Unlock?

I just purchased an Xperia J
I decided to that flashing CM10 would be a better idea, However when looking at unlocking the bootloader it says
Bootloader unlock allowed no
Now what do I do?!

its not simlocked but its bootloader locked?
Kernels im not bothered about but I want CM10 not a modified stock sony ROM.

How to root Sony Xperia E

Hello.
I have Sony Xperia E running on Jelly Bean (4.1.1) and I want to root it. Over the internet I found some advices how to root Xperia e dual, but I did mistake with SE Xperia neo and I flashed firmware for a similar phone, so I don't want to do that again. I want only the procedure that is 100% efficient because I dont want to mess up again. My model number is C1505 and build number is 11.2.A.13

I did everything you said and I said that I have root access, like I said in previous post. Today I downloaded an app that requires root access and it said that I cant start the app because I dont have root access. How is that possible??

Ok it was like this...I have found how to root my phone on a completely safe way. That method is called Kingo Android root. You have to download that software and install it on your comp. once when you connect your phone Kingo Android Root will find and install everything that you need to root your phone. Hope it will work.

I've checked to the site of Kingo, but my device not listed yet.. Supported Xperia E is model C1504.. not C1605

That is pretty ****ty man. I have assumed that your phone will be supported. Unfortunately I dont know any method that will work, but you can try with some pre-rooted rom and flesh that. My first thought 'd be cyanogenmod but I dont know if your phone is supported or not. You can check that and seek for much info in this link http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Main_Page

Doubtful due to dm-verity security, it would be nice to get locked Bootloader root don't think it'll happen though, but there is no way I'll use kingroot I'll go without root before I use that.

I agree in kinroot but i am not agree that there's no way to root locked bootloader it seems to be a pitiful distress for our beautiful xperia xa

It's not as simple as that, Kingroot devs need a security exploit to root, not only 300 peoples who need root lol, they are not Gods. It's like finding jailbreak exploit on IOS, you can wait for looong months or more.

On ALL others Xperia devices you need to downgrade to Lollipop for root and update to Marshmallow after or have unlocked bootloader to flash modified boot.img and to allow root under Marshmallow.

Same here reluctant to unlock my Bootloader until I can back up the ta keys for which for our device isn't currently possible there's also no fully working twrp and more people seem to have the dual model than the LTE model so most stuff is for that. Plenty of experience rooting and flashing that's about it.

@aidy.lucas I'm OK with you, I lost 24 months warranty because unlocking bootloader but no pain no gain . For single sim models I have zero feedback and on dual no bad feedbacks after root. Just a little correction, TWRP is fully working like on others Marshmallow devices, mounting /system rw doesn't seem to be a problem on XA (tested full backup and restore) :good:
