First!
ZOMG I'm getting excited like I was the last time someone fake posted stuff about ICS I check those forums every once in a while but can't understand most of it anyway.
THANKS A LOT for posting!!! Downloading now (gah I hate that 115 website the speeds are SO SLOW)
Excellent! This is likely a leak for the ME865 since it is hosted on a Chinese file site, but anything could help us at this point. I'm also downloading the file, but at this rate it will take 1-2 hours to finish....

At least it should have the files we need for the radio... if it's real

Yeah after the first moment my expectations aren't too high (don't want to be crushed down again lol). At least we have a download link this time . And there has to be something within 346 mb of stuff so let's hope for the best.
I hope it can be flash into A2 by fastboot.
Otherwise I am new in android dev.

Once we get it I would not recommend flashing it in fastboot. To begin with, if you flashed the whole thing and it worked then you might never be able to flash back to GB or update to final ICS. However I highly doubt that it would flash due to partition signature differences...
If it's in a ROM.zip format then I would flash it but be wary... make sure that it's rooted (search in /system/bin and /system/xbin for "su") because we might not be able to root this firmware.

Sorry? I'm not quite sure what you mean by "baselape..."
But it is an fxz/sbf... so unless you've decided to be REALLY adventurous DON'T FLASH IT to an MB865.

Should be a tad faster than China.
And yes, don't flash this unless you support toddler murder.

Why shouldn't we try to flash it? is there a chance we can't fxz back to 2.3.5? I'll see If I can get the radio working with a current build I have.
EDIT: it should be totally safe to flash the radio right?

First you need to root it using one click root in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18942700
Then you just need the atrix 2 bootstrapper apk. Download it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346977
Then you simply reboot into recovery and select backup. Let it finish. Reboot back into phone.plug in usb to your pc and mount.then just find the clockworkmod folder on sdcard. Open it.then open backup folder.then open the folder there which will be a bunch of numbers. Finally youll see some files.the "system.ext.tar" is the file i need.just copy it to your computer anywhere and upload onto rapidshare or filedropper.

Well I use MERetail-MEARET rom.
I have not flashed this rom yet. To tell you the truth i did not know it was available to flash until a minute ago. I had not been checking that part of the dev section lately. I'm downloading that rom now and i will flash it later this evening when i get some free time to see what is going on with the dialer, plus i haven't tried that rom yet and it will give me a new toy to play with for a little bit. Like i said before i had this problem with the Indian rom and it bugged the hell out of me. Give me some time and ill get back to you on this later tonight or tomorrow.

Is it just an issue with the dialer .apk file, and if so why not mod the rom by using another rom's dialer. apk? I'm not even sure if the dialer and phone. apk's are able to be swapped, as they may be too deeply integrated within the A2's framework. Sorta beyond my knowledge base.

DON'T MESS WITH THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, ESPECIALLY WITH AT&T PHONES
I'm Starting this as a general thread for all our ICS work now that we got our first few leaks. Please Hold off on screwing with this stuff without knowing what you are doing as there is risk involved. If you are interested in helping out or learning more about the risks please reply to this thread or send a PM to on of our devs. Below is some general info of what we have so far that will be updated as I and others learn more.
1. We have a leak of seemingly working ICS for the ME865 used internationally. Some stuff from it may be useful, but not extremely as we mainly focus on MB865 here.
2. We have a leak of ICS for The MB865 MEARET that is used internationally. it will flash on phones that support that firmware. It will not work on AT&T phones as is. We are working towards getting what we need from it to make it work in some way.
One of the main focuses now is going to be to pull what we need from these to get CM9 or AOKP working. with the radio drivers and kernels, we should be able to get something working very soon. (and by that I mean a while, if you have been on her a while, you should know that! )
Devs or others, please tell me anything you want added. while I like to keep things in the open forums, PM may be a good Idea to keep things from being to crazy around here with people (including me) so eager.

I would not recommend saying there is a chance it could work on at&t .its not possible without our own ics mb865 kernel (which would require a mb865 ics leak) first and youre gonna help brick alot of novice users phones. You should definitely state with big letters in red "do not try this if you have an at&t mb865 phone"
It would help spare us of a thousand new threads with newcomers freaking out asking for help in the dev section because they decided to try and flash me865 firmware/kernel on their mb865 not to mention the thousand pms youll receive

Keep the downloaded OTA on your /sdcard, but DO NOT INSTALL it! There is some dev work being done on the newest "leak", and I can tell you, things have changed. Yes. The new leak is very much final ICS for us. And, as jim mentioned, it will lock us down even more with no way to return to GB. Unless that doesn't matter to you for some reason, I would stick with the first ICS leak found and posted in the general section. Then you may flash a ROM made from the new leak if you wish to experience what the newest leak has to offer. Or, you can decide for yourself what's best for you..

Can we get a screen shot? My initial response is no, don't do it.
Firmware info for it would be great.
Screenshots in ICS are down on volume rocker and power button at the same time.

There is already a thread on this update. It is not recommended you pull down the update, but is your decision.

I would hold off for now. But that's your decision.
The devs and other senior members are recommending against this update as you cannot go back to GB from it.

i installed busybox (smart install) on my me865 running miui team shogun.i didnt notice that smart install will remove the boot menu hijack in system/bin.Now i cannot pass the boot animation screen and cannot access boot menu costum recovery.is there any way that can copy new hijack file to system/bin via computer(windows)or is there any way to restore back to stock ics (67.220.3en05) on my ME865?thanks.
Flash the stock ICS fxz for your phone.

Make sure to flash the one for your specific model, cross flashing could cause issues.

On average it takes about 15-20 mins give or take.well if you do it properly ie flash the correct version of fxz for your phone there are little chances to fail.but if that happens you can always retry.and hardbrick is very unlikely.

I just have to point this out to EVERYONE. This is one reason you do NOT EVER remove busybox. It was not the fact the the hijack was removed, but because busybox links itself to MANY critical "linux" functions, and it does not re-link those back to the motobox (minimal busybox like binary), or rename old bin files if they were there before, so there are things like mount and other functions that do not work properly.
I am not chastizing the OP here, just making a point to everyone about busybox, as this has been mentioned very little in the forums, so I thought this is a good place to point this out and the hazards with removing busybox, it will bootloop you nearly everytime.
It is better to just fxz back to full stock before/instead of removing busybox. Although I am still really not sure why anyone would want to remove busybox at all, it gives you a ton of linux utilities all in one binary and creates links to things like mount, etc.

I totally dis-agree. It does have bearing in here, because if someone does actually do a search for removing busybox on an atrix 2, this will come up. That was really the ONLY reason I put it here. And also the Brick thread is really for bricks, removing busybox is a whole other can of worms. And look I have respect that you have come up lately and taken an active role in here, but don't forget I have been trail blazing on this phone for over a year now, and have been trying to save people from themselves the whole time, so maybe re-read and think about why I did what I did in here. I am no jumping on you at all, just trying to show you my point.

I know that. I just wanted to make sure that you understood. As I said I was not jumping on you at all. I just really wanted you and others to realize I am trying to help out future busybox users that may want to uninstall, and "actually" use the search function, that was all.
Can I uninstall busybox free and install busybox probably. Plz help?

As Jim said, you CANNOT uninstall a Busybox. So its best to take Ti back of your stuff and do a RSD install, then install busybox of your choice.
