[APP][Launcher][ICS 4.0] (almost) Stock ICS launcher - Android Apps and Games

This is a port from Cyanogen mod 9, ics rom. Trebuchet.apk
i did not make this therefore i do not claim any ownership of this app.
this is practically stock ics, if their is a problem installing try this::
use root explorer and put it in /system/app and change the permissions to rw-r--r--
this is a sequal to the following threads, also made by me:

Settings.apk does not run

Hi, I hope someone can help me with my problem:
I run an HTC Sensation, with the latest ICS leak, and have a mod I want to apply, which is an AOSP-ized Settings.apk.
The problem is that if I adb push it onto the phone (/system/app), it does not show in the main menu, like its not installed.
BUT if I first install the stock Settings.apk, boot the phone, reboot into CWM and then flash the modded Settings.apk, it works just fine...
Does the stock Settings.apk alter anything that the second one needs?
I am attaching the modded one if anyone would be willing to help me find the problem...
Thanks!
Kristof
I've got a similar issue.
I wish to install an AOSP settings.apk & settingsUI.apk but I can't find the directory to paste them in. I then made a folder and placed them in there and installed them via ES File Explorer and the changes weren't applied.

[REQ] Desire Default Live Wallpaper

I've searched and I can't find it so I wonder it any one can help, I've just installed a Sense 4.0 ICS ROM but I really miss the default bokeh live wallpaper that came on the Desire by default, it was on the Sensation originally but it appears to have been dropped for the newest version of Sense. Does anyone know where I can get it for my newly updated Sensation?
I'm also looking for it... There's a bunch of bokeh look alike LWs but I want the original that came with my sensation.
If nobody has it would anyone know how to get it from old gingerbread Rom and port it to ics??
I use this one?

Thanks for the link but I'm a fan of the original... I managed to pull the apk from an ics rom running sense 3.6 the only problem is that on roms with sense 4 the apk doesn't install. Any ideas on how to get it to work?
Use Root Explorer or ES File Manager's root mode and push the apk to /system/app/
Then, change the permissions to match the permissions of all the other apks there, I believe it's RW R R, but just match it to the others. To change permissions in Root Explorer, hold your finger on the file and hit Permissions or whatever. Not sure if ES can do it, but it probably can.
After it's in /system/app and the permissions are edited, reboot and it should show up in the Live Wallpaper list.
Edit: If that doesn't work, look up the APK signer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImtlbGxpbndvb2Quemlwc2lnbmVyMiJd This is ZipSigner 2 and it works perfectly. Sign the APK, then try to install it using a file manager or something, you know, install it like normal. If it still doesn't install after being signed, use the method above and push it to /system/app and change the permissions, then it should run without issues.

[APP][MOD][CM9] Messaging app with modified smileys

So I got tired of the same old android smileys in the messaging app in stock CM9 and decided to replace them with something more colourful and cheerful. Attached apk is the result of that! Please see screen shots for better idea. Tested working on latest June 12th CM9 nightly build, should work in other builds as well, unless some code breaks the Mms.apk file in future updates.
Instructions -
Push the attached apk to root/system/app using Xplore or Root explorer or any other file manager of your choice and set permissions to 644 mode. Reboot the phone, and enjoy!
As always, MAKE A BACKUP. I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your phone! Use at your own risk.

is this a stock samsung feature only?

When i was using a stock rom i remember i could copy libs and apks to system and as soon as i was out of root explorer those files worked without needing to restart.
Now i am on cm9 rc2 and i noticed that copying the same files i need to reboot to make the files work.
Is that a touchwiz exclusive feature or is somewhere hiden?
The only thing i remember doing different now in cm9 was updating apex launcher, could that be the reason?
The files i used are email apk, polaris office libs and apks, etc.

[ N900W8 with KK ]Google Now Launcher works nicely if your ROOTED

Root privileges give you the power to break you device use at your own risk.
Just wondered if any one else discovered this yet?
I upgraded to KitKat (thanks Polish_Pat) Knox 0x0 rooted and recovery
Was annoyed that we didn't get any of the KitKat goodies so have started to get it sorted they way I would like it. Love android!!
First up (and easy)
KitKat Google Now Launcher and its two dependent files
(Ok Google works for me as well as swiping left for Google Now ).
-------------------
Down load this zip
Once you have it to your phone use a file browser with ROOT privlages ( I use pro version of Root explorer) navigate to where ever you saved the file and un zip it. Root Explorer does this and will ask if you wish to navigate to the unzipped folder, do so now.
1) Install GoogleHome.apk (if you haven't already you will be prompted to allow the install of UNKNOWN sources)
2) Copy PrebuiltGmsCore.apk to SYSTEM/APP/ changed permission to rw-r-r-
3) Copy Velvet.apk to SYSTEM/APP/ changed permission to rw-r-r-
4) Reboot
again root explore will do all of this. With a long press on the file it will give you options to choose from. Select permissions and uncheck or check what ever you wish to set any permission. For this particular task you will want to UNCHECK group write and others write this will set you as rw-r-r
click OK.
Do this for both files listed above and then reboot.
-------------------
In my continued effort to get as close to AOSP KK I have also managed to replace Sammies Clock app with the AOSP Clock which is smoother (in my onpinion only).
If you want it
Down load this zip file
Extract as described earlier and install it as any other app. Then you can disable the stock app by doing a rename these two files (Root users only can achieve this stock will have two clock apps)
ClockPackage_OSup.apk to ClockPackage_OSup.apk.old
ClockPackage_OSup.odex to ClockPackage_OSup.odex
--------------------
Now I want to try getting the KitKat Dialer to work but I suspect that won't be so easy.

xposed GEL didnt do it for me for some reason, will test your method soon
Just installed the GoogleHome apk on a non rooted 4.4.2 Note 3 running stock firmware and everything works without any other modification. (Including Ok google).
