[MOD][KQ7] Extended Power Menu [12.03.2012]

Hi,
I have ported the ExtendedPowerMenu for KQ7.
Now you can use the ICSLockScreen with it.
The Downloadmode is replaced by the screenshotfunction .
(thx to broodplank for finding it out )
Requirements
Deodexed KQ7 ROM
FeaModRecovery v1.2 or later
BackUp of the current ROM

Installation
1.Download the zip and place it on your internal SDCard.
2. Boot into RecoveryMode.
3. Install the zip and wait till the Installation is finished.
4. Reboot your Phone.

Can you tell me which files in the framework.apk are important for the extended power menu? So I can edit my custom one

Yeah thats true. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution to "activate" the AOSP-LockScreen in the KQ7 android.policy.jar. It seems that Samsung has deleted some functions in the smali files which were necessary.
So the KPS android.policy.jar is still the only possibilty. But as long as it also works in the KQ7 Rom everything's okay

Can't find res/values..? Its in the tut, but not in my framework-res.apk.. help?

In the zip are files called .DS_STORE and ._.DS_STORE. Are they important?

Nope they are absolutely not.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.DS_Store Its just a hidden file made in .zips or other files.. Its the same as Thumbs.db at windows You can delete it if you want

Right. These are just mac os files and you can delete them.

Charged Notification Remover​
Description:
Made this little app a while ago but forgot to post it on the forums, basically it removes the battery charged notification from any Samsung based SystemUI.apk (deodexed of course). It may also work on SystemUI.apk files from other vendors, but I'm not sure
Requirements:
- Java (JRE OR JDK)
- SystemUI.apk
Instructions:
1. Unpack
2. Run Charged_Notifcation_Remover.exe
3. Choose the desired SystemUI.apk
4. Wait until the process is complete
5. Copy SystemUI.apk from the finished_apks folder to your sdcard
6. Copy SystemUI.apk from your sdcard to /system/app
7. Set permissions to RW-R-R
8. Reboot

I have no idea, I would say try it (and make a backup of SystemUI.apk )

Heyy Guys! Just Like I said, I will extract the Swype from the Value Pack (XXLE4) for us! Now Here It Is!
SWYPE v3.26.92
(Extracted From XXLE4 Value Pack FW)​
Requirements:
Sgs i9003
MUST Be Rooted
Root Explorer
Swype.apk & libSwypeCore.so (download links below)
Procedure: (ALWAYS, Backup files. Just in case!)
Download the 2 files given from the links below.
Open Root Explorer.
Paste the downloaded Swype.apk to "/system/app " folder.
Now paste the libSwypeCore.so to "/system/lib " folder
Close root Explorer and reboot phone.

Well, the appearance changed alot, compared to our GB stock's Swype. Swyping seems quicker and the swype trace lines are thinner now. i am uploading the pictures already. ill update the thread immediately once it is done uploading.

Hmm, i think so, but perform a backup before putting it in just in case. i'm not sure about the file location. i never used aokp for this phone yet...

i used xxkpq w/ Poseidon rom + ICS theme v19 from tarunagg's thread. try flashing it, it will automatically have you in that font (i think it comes with ics theme...)

I am on ddf2 value pack, it fail to open english or spanish dicctionary , it works with arabic (i think it is arabic...)
any suggestions?

Using OutKitchen mod. settingui.apk and framework - res.apk you will have many battery style :good:

ive checked uot kitchen already but they dont have support for jelly bean yt and they dont have the battery mod requested.. thanks though

THere are like a bagillion cm themes on the play store that can various circle battery indicators plus other stuff. Its worth checking out and is certainly easier than redoing systemui

How did you do it?
Could you post detailed instructions on how you got the battery mod to work? I tried installing the file that you d/l and changing the other file and it didn't work for me. Thanks.

You don't have download it, you only have to
1copy the systemui.apk modified in your sd card
2go to a root browser in /system/app and copy the systemui.apk original in a folder in your sd card
3delete the original systemui.apk in /system/app and then copy the modified one in the same folder
4set the permission of the apk in rw-r-r

Note : If there is a SystemUI.odex file of previous system UI delet it and replace this system UI with the one in System / app folder and give correct permissions!!!

Now u hv a new system UI!!!!
