I know the rom for sensation is developing anyone know the progress? I know the official rom for EVO 3D is out....and nothing for my sensation anyone know who to follow?
Mate go to modaco there is a 98% complete miui rom there I'm using it now. Plus it has xloud and beats audio added plus bravia so is even better than u expect. The sound and video on this thing is amazing
Ye I saw the trips work...I flashed the first I really didnt check up on this but wow he did some work....
only issues are BT does not work...lock screen is still not aligned....
His lockscreen is aligned mate so just don't change the lockscreen when u apply theme or edit lockscreen in theme you like to fit screen

O rly? I really liked the transformer theme but the locking bar in the screen was toward to left.......

Because there's no public rom source for sensation, so porting to a new device with new screen causes a lot of scaling issues.
Once kernel.org goes hack up and Tue cm team opens the sensation branch on their repo, we will get official miui.

Hey guys I just picked myself up a Sensation 4G (Not new to Android Dev.) so I was thinking about creating,my own custom rom but wasn't sure what the Sensation guys like in their roms. I came from the Huawei u8150 were getting CM9 to run without a gpu was a move from the lord. So far I have tried Stock, Insert Coin, and Android Revolution roms all were great but I like a little cyanogenmod in my life. Would you guys like a new CM9 build crossed with a few tweaks of mean and fixes I find. Is so vote for it. Also reply with what you, look for in a rom.

What I'd really love to see is a cm9 rom whit theme chooser working but idk yiu can't really do much to make a cm9/aosp rom to look different then other roms unless different themes...

I will start the rom today and if all goes well, I can have an early release out by Saturday. At first it will probably be stock cm9 with a few tweaks but then I will see what I can do about theming.
A CM9 ROM will be awesome. Are you going to try to get it working by yourself? You could get together with the open sensation project guys and make more progress that way. Just a thought

Welcome to the Sensation boards, and thanks for asking for input. I'm not a sense hater by any means, but I ALWAYS go back to AOSP roms. CM9 and Open Sensation are compiled nicely, but for some reason make my phone heat.
So, any build compiled from source would be welcomed. Each phone is different, hopefully your build keeps mah phone cool.
AOSP ROM with a Sense Camera would be loved by many, I am sure.

Yea I thought about speaking to them about it but I figured since I am newer to the phone I could try to mess with it a little myself before I go messing with other peoples work.
There seems to be a good number of sense roms and cm9 roms out there... why not try something kinda out there?
like a port of an xperia rom (I think Xperia S has the same chipset) or samsung's? (I know there's an xperia-ish rom out there but i think it's just aokp with xperia mods and I think that Sony's UIX is pretty good and not bloaty).
just thinking out there... porting something like that might be too much.

I haven't had the time to make a thread for it I'm sorry. I've been taking finals and will be through next week. Though I will not stop working on roms. For now you can find the Rom in Rom manager. I try to post here when I get home

Think themes dont work because screen resolution is different then 800x480
Whit the new roms few of them works but there isn't many only like 10-20 themes check it out on theme manager search for miui v4

As I understand it there are Miui roms based on sense and ones based on AOSP. Ones based on sense don't work with most themes. As I recall miui.Us was a sense one, tho I think I saw an aosp one on xda recently.
That isn't the only factor though, some old themes don't work with any v4 roms.

Thought I would share this modified Miuiandroid.com sensation rom.
I am not a dev, just want to have some good miui roms out there, Blackwing already made a very nice Aosp rom and this is the Sense based with some modifications.
Yes its the Sense based Miui, I just modified it.
Its multi language and version 2.6.16.
Slimed down moving not needed trash + some apps...197mb instead of around 267mb.
Working Miui V4 Themes, also SMS, Phone and statusbar. Credit to a guy at chinesese forum, dont know the name in english.
No dissapearing icons after returning to homescreen.
All credit to Miuiandroid.com -> I just trimmed and edited it for my needs.
Running it right now with Sebastian Sense kernel. Flash at own risk though and so on.

Its fast and smooth with sebastian or other kernel. No random reboots so far.
Wont compare to Blackwings...that rom is awesome, I just wanted tobtry this for multi language and sense camera.

I just rooted my Sensation XE and got it S-off. :victory:
Installed Rom Manager and Titanium backup (backed-up everything).
Now i don't know wich Rom i would use....there are so many...
I want it to be stable, i use Go Launcher instead of Sense because Sense had the ennoying problem it was closing to free memory when i was using a load of memory. In Go Launcher i can select it to remain always open.
I would like a stable ROM wich keeps camera, bluetooth etc....all working without problems.
In addition of this question i would like to know if i can just remove Sense true titanium backup from my phone without problems? (on stock rom or other ROM ? )
I hope i put this thread in the right section 'cos i'm not used to using this forum yet

You should seriously try Virtuous Inquisition very fast and stable. It's running Android ICS. But I don't know if you installed the required firmware. If not, do so.
Oh, and it's an AOSP Rom and it's senseless. Everything works fine.
Were can i find that rom and info about the requierd firmware ?

You can find the required firmware specs on the developers site of each Rom. I highly suggest trying out SEVERAL roms and see which one fits you the best. I'm using lightening Rom now.its brand new sense 4 and is fast and smooth! I think you would like it! No problems with it. But see its all a matter of personal taste . So do yourself a favor and try out SEVERAL! Have fun and happy flashing

In my opinion Android Revolution HD us the best rom I tryed, Mike does not use portings to ensure maximum stability and speeds... It comes with sense 3.6 bit on the thread he provides a script to completely remove HTC Sense...
It has a completely stock look... It's just optimized and updated.

I saw i can select it for download in rom manager.... Maybe the easiest way to try an other ROM as test... Is it so that all requirements for this ROM are fulfilled if I see it in ROM-manager?

Upgrade firmware and check Radio before installing custom ROM .. else post successful ROM installation you will end up with no Wi-Fi and Bluetooth..

---and my choice is Blitz 2.6 with SebastianFM 1.5.2 OC Kernel, Very Fast and Stable, But disadvantage SebastianFM Kernel miss out SweepToWake feature which i really like.. Tried all other Kernel with Blitz Rom, they all fast but performance did not stable as SebastianFM Kernel.

I must say that on factory ROM i was using Go Launcher because Sense got closed sometimes when I was using many RAM. Reloading Sense always took a bit of time wich I found annoying. The downside of using go launcher was the loss of the HTC widgets... Go contacts wasn't so good in my opinion. In my current ROM Sense didn't close once so for me it's perfect. It looks very beautiful and it's faster than ever before.
