I was wondering why the Atrix 2 still has incompatibility issues (the larger majority of them) with some games even with the tegra 2 plugin loaded up through Chainfire. I got some games through Tegrazone to work (Galaxy on Fire, Sprinkle, etc), but other games bring me to the market only to say "This version is not compatible with your device". Like this weekend, GTAIII is on sale for a dollar, but when I go to it through tegrazone, it's a no go. Anybody have a fix for this?

go to build.prop and enter these edits. It will fool your phone into thinking it's a Nexus S.
ro.product.model=Nexus S
ro.product.brand=Google

What is "crespo", I thought it was supposed to be "Nexus S"?
EDIT: Yeah, so I tried it and it didn't do anything (I cleared market data before doing it too, btw). All it did was make my phone say Nexus S in the settings which is pretty badass, but yeah, didn't change anything in the market.
really... it did for me
did you reboot?

I used Gamelofts website and bought a few of my favorites (Its buy 1 for 4.99 and get a game for free btw). It thinks the phone is an I9000 SGS but everything is working great and the games look amazing on the the 4.5"screen.
I was bummed that I could not use the version of the games that I bought for my Inspire, but so is life.
Agreed, Dungeon Hunter 2 HD looks amazing. Also, Settlers 4 works, but I got a crash once.
Does Gameloft allow re-download free of charge? Let's Golf looks good and I'd like to have it on my Infuse and Transfromer.
thanks for the heads up!
I did this to, I bought a few games from there mobile site cause it thinks my Infuse is a Galaxy S phone but when i went on there today it now sees my phone as an SGH-I997 and says there are no games available for my phone. Guess i'm lucky i bought games while I could!

Can you re-download games at no charge or do you have to pay each time?

Yeah the same thing for me. I did figure out that if I put it in Airplane mode and use WiFi you can tell Gameloft you are using a SGS I9000 and see all the games.
Good thread about to download some tonight
Wow, thanks for the heads up on this! I was just about to write a post asking why the Infuse can't use anything good from Gameloft and if it will ever be able to- i.e. does the Infuse just have the wrong GPU?
I know this is sort of a work around, but I'll take it. Gameloft has some of the best, most polished Action, 3D, RPG, Sim, etc. titles around (I have a few favs- NOVA1-2, MC:BP, Order&Chaos, let's golf on my iPhone4 and iPad). I'm even willing to re-pay to re-play some just to see them on this beautiful screen we have! I was just about to get Asphalt 6 and Shadow Guardian for my iDevices, but maybe I'll go Android with these if they run as well.
+ thanks to you if I can figure out how!
bump any word from gameloft on when they will get us some games?
gameloft doesnt seem to want to support att phones, it is odd but they had games up for the vibrant and not the captivate.
also you should be able to run apk's for other devices if you use chainfire3d and download the api for the tegra2 and qualcomm chipsets.

chainfire 3d is in the market, after the app install the driver needs to be installed from inside the app, the phone will reboot.
I don't remember where I found the plugins for qualcomm and nvidea but they are xda somewhere. once yoy download then to the sdcard you go into chainfire 3d and select "install plugins" it will search all folders on the sd cards. after it finds all the plugins you install them one at a time. you can uninstall from the "manage plugins" menu. once you have a plugin installed go into open gl settings and load it.
depending on the game yoy may need to hide chainfire 3d (there is a setting for that) and maybe even spoof build.prop to make it run. chainfire 3d will give the api support but that doesn't mean the game isn't locked to the device by other means or that the device will meet the requirements to run the game. (it should being that only the adreno 220 has a significant advantage over our gpu and only 2 us devices use it)
Thanks!

....If you buy from the market it works..
Else; Install chain Fire 3d and find all the drivers and install them. You can play the tegra games that way.
I did...but Idk what happen at i just went into settings apps and clear data and went back to it it worked fine now..this game looks sick.
but I just never got into game apps for phones.. and so I was also just wondering what others play.
or just in general of app use. I see ppl talk about sms, launchers etc..

Cool..I was thing about adding some old school games like that I tried looking for the nesoid and a few others and they are pulled off the market.. But in another thread I started someone listed where you can still get them...
Cordy I heard was good..
I still rock the old emulators, mainly the nes and genesis ones. I bought the samurai game though, much better than I expected, buy also super easy I really like modern combat 2.

I saw that combat one is it good?.
Also has anyone try that Mspot for the music cloud.?
I bought Madden 12 for my Flashback 7.2 Honeycomb Gtablet.
It installed properly but then it wanted to download an additional 300MB of content. At that point, it said it was not supported on my device.
I got a refund from the Apps Store.
I wanted madden 12 but didn't see it I guess because im running laurel mountain. Bummer I really wanted a football game
It should work on anything 2.1+ I got the same problem as above and currently have a trouble ticket out with EA Sports. If you go to the EA site, Madden 12 is not even listed as an android game, only iPad/iPhone/Touch... Very frustrating.
Cant find where I read that it does not work on Tegra devices. I also downloaded it to my Evo and ti works fine but a black screen on the Gtbalet. Oh Well.
hmm... seems there are two different versions.
One is "compatible" and runs up until the download is required, the other is not compatible for some reason. I'm not sure what the difference might be since they both read exactly the same.
I thought EA Sports turned out quality stuff. This smells and tastes like junk.
I managed to get the game installed. It is just a black screen when you run it. I tapped on the screen everywhere and the played a game but graphics were really messed up and it ran choppy. So its not for tegra 2. Too bad there wasn't an emulator that could run it on T2 devices

i too can't get it to run on my gtab but it does run on my photon 4g so tegra devices isn't an issue. think it just may be because it is not supported on the tab. perhaps a build prop change would work?
This works now! The updated version works very well with my gtab, especially when I bump the clock to 1.4Ghz. :-D

I see that gameloft has all their games on sale for 99 cents. I cannot download these games because it grays out the transformer tablet. Is this device not compatible with any of their games?

you are correct. Gameloft sucks.
If you have another android device, buy the game on there then look for a hacked apk. I don't support piracy, which is why I suggest buying it first.
Would one not be able to buy it and download it on one device and then copy the apk to the other device?

Typically no, Gameloft games are protected. I've tried backing up .apks and trying them on various devices and they don't work. It says "not an original .apk" and closes out of the app.
I personally disagree with that mode of thing. If I paid of an App, i should get to play it on any of my devices, understanding the risk of it possibly not preforming correctly.

welcome to the crappy company that is gameloft- the company that makes ace games but makes you pay for them each time you play them eg letsgolf- used to be able to play all the holes having only paid for the game once- now they make you pay to play each hole.
gameloft realised they have some desirable games and have decided to rinse their customers for the privilage of playing them- the main reason why i refuse to give the mofo's any of my hard earned..

Its TF version of Let's Golf different than SGS2? In SGS2 is limited as 1 per energy cell and you can sum 6 energy cells. If you want more, you pay, but energy recovers as 1 cell per hour. Its not great, but its not so bad...
Aside from that I also find bad the offer, since TF can only run 4 games from Gameloft and I don't really know why they don't increase that number since Let's Golf for example can run in many other tablets.

I am not sure if the sale is over or applies to these games. However here is a list of confirmed working games on the transformer. I have Spiderman, Uno, N.O.V.A. & Asphalt 6 all working with no issues. Yes, all were purchased via the website.

details? who makes the game? is it available for the galaxy s ? there is a good chance its possible since the omap4 has the same gpu as the hummingbird and the galaxy s was the top selling android world wide.
it might take build.prop spoofing and maybe other trickery to get it installed. if its a gameloft game they have some anti piracy stuff and it means build.prop checking and registering the phone number and they don't seem to cater to att phones. if you need to download a compatible version with the infuse look for the vibrant maybe.

Hey.. next time try the Apps and Themes. Mod, please move.
Haven't laid down the 5 bucks yet but a quick look at the market shows it's Infuse compatible.
Obviously, this is signed into my account with the Infuse attached. My other device is the Iconia a500 so Tegra's are also supported.
I think that this will be the same news as Riptide GP. Plays fine both on my tablet and on my phone. Cheers. Next time, right section.
