[Q] Galaxy SII not charging - General Questions and Answers

Hi
My SII is not charging any more. When i plug in charger (phone is off), i sometimes see the battery and a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark.
I bought a new battery and a new phone charger (both original). Phone worked well because battery was at 70%. when i plugged it, again not charging.
I sent it to warranty and after 3 weeks they sent it back. Battery was at 15%. I plugged the phone but it's not charging
The USB is clean (no dirt in it). Never dropped the phone down.
I don't know what to do. Sending it to warranty is not an option because they are idiots.

Well, plug in charge and wait 10 minutes. If not react, then i think it's charger problem. Look at the battery and check its Volts. If ex. 3.7V then you need a charger which can charge such battery.

HAS THIS HAPPEND TO YOU????:confused
I forgot to unplug my phone from my pc and connected to my house charger.
I was adding movies and music to my phone I noticed the other night the phone charges slower when connected to computer.
The battery icon was showing it was charging on the screen.
before I knew it I was at 13-15% whenever that warning comes up on the screen.( o charge phone)
I left my house for 3 hours and I was was using car charger, next it dies on me I was like,
WHAT IS GOING ON???
I tried to turn on the 4 ot 5 times phone would not turn on. I left the phone on the car charger for 15 minutes before I trying again.
I turned the phone on and it did not go to boot screen, but I saw a red battery
with a yellow exclamation point.
Battery died on me and will not turn on.
Just giving advice , becareful that you have a good car charger.
Phone is working now.
I used the house charger all is well 100% battery charge.

It is a known fact that almost all devices charge much more slowly when connected to the usb as compared to being charged from a wall charger. This is nothing new.

[Q] Nexus 5 won't turn on unless plugged in to charger.

After doing some extensive research as to why my Nexus 5 was randomly off when at full charge I discovered there were obviously alot of issues going on with this.
After doing all of the suggestions (e.i. Charging for an hour with standard AC, An hour with USB) I finally got the thing to turn one *whew*
Well not so *Whew* after all. The battery indicator in the tp left of the screen is saying the battery charge is empty. The charging level also says %0. As soon as I unplug the charger it turns off due to lack of charge.
Did the factory rest thing and it's still doing the same thing.
After some experimenting I have discovered that while in the boot screen (Vol+/Vol- & Power) it does not have to be plugged in. Interesting.
Every time the phone gets to where you can see the battery level it thinks it has no charge and auto offs itself.
What do I do?
I would first try a different charger. Its possible that you have a bad charger/USB cable. If that doesn't work then I'd send it back and get a warranty replacement phone but more than likely your issue is a bad charger/USB cable and if not that then a bad battery.

[XT1045/Peregrine] Signs of life but no charging

I recently picked up an unknown condition motog 4g. Won't boot. I figure it had self-discharged into oblivion. Cells came up at 2.16v, but I didn't trust it, got a fresh battery off Amazon. New battery shows no love.
When plugged in, I get no screen but the notification light goes white.
Things I've tried:
Charging for 24H on 2A charger
VOL DOWN + PWR 2min
freezing it
unplugging the screen and letting it charge
holding power for 10+ minutes while off
holding power for 10+ minutes while on charger
So, I've tried everything. Still don't know if it's a corrupted bootloader (possibly?) or if something else is wrong.
Any suggestions?
I've got a friend with the same situation pretty much. We have not frozen it yet, who can tell me how to do that?
He has had it since new, it is bone stock, and nothing will bring the battery above 0%. I'm looking for some last ditch things to try before we pull the back off and unplug the screen to charge, or replace battery.
Any help would be appreciated.
Have you tried charging it on a low amperage charger? I know other variants have had charging issues which were solved by charging on low amp chargers, such as a computer's USB port. Those generally put out about 500mA or less unless they're powered.

I bought a new battery and put it on a 5W charger for 24 hours. Came back to life.

Xperia Z3 D6603 turning off after i connect charger, don't charge battery

So from the beginning of story, my wife discharge phone to 0% and it turned off, after it turned off it wont charge any more, so i think she killed the battery. Bought new battery, replace and it's ALIVE, but when i connect fast charger xperia turning off ( puff black screen, on normal charger is showing it's charging and after 10 seconds puff same result ) and red light is on at the top ( new battery is 50% charged ).
So i connect old battery to Xperia Z1 and charge, old battery is working, connect to Z3 and it working without charger connect, when i connect charger phone turning off, and place where is connected battery to phone board getting really HOT when charger is connected.
I don't see any water on phone-board, and white marks near the place of connection with battery.
Have someone same problem, and have a solution?

Your charging module might be damaged. Try charging using the magnetic charger, it should work.
I have the exact same problem in my Xperia Z3 D 6633 . this is how the problem started. original battery started swelling but charging while it was alright and had charged but I saw the risk in keeping a battery that is swelling all the time so got a new battery and that second battery lasted for about 2 months after which one fine day it used to discharge in just under 20 seconds from hundred percent 20 and after that gradually it will not take any charge but at least I could make it pretend charging when I connected to AC and the phone was on as long as there was external power either from the AC or Power Bank. next this second battery was changed to a third battery . with the third battery in place all I could he is a red light there is no charging at all and no charging icon and phone is totally dead with a red light.
some other place I read that there should be a voltage difference of at least 4.2 v for a battery to work in that phone and III battery initially did work but when it was discharged it will simply not charge again.
when you say the charging module is not working what exactly does it look like and can it be changed easily please help me out thank you

Battery Not Charging

Been having some issue with my Xperia 5 II with wall outlets. Phone does not charge with wall outlet and portable battery. Tried different wires but does not charge. I did notice that when I plug the phone to the wall outlet the phone detects it cause I feel it vibrate but just doesn't charge. However it does charge with the same wires to a computer.
Anyone having this issue or have any solutions?
My phone was dead one morning and when I plugged it in I got a vibration but the LED light that indicates charging did not light. I tried everything and as last resort I went to the manual. It said that if you drain the battery when you start charging it gives no visible clue, none, until it hits around 15%. That was true. I plugged it in and read a book and eventually the red LED came on and the phone charged and all has been well.

before this happen when i charge my phone either below or above 15% it shows the charging icon on the battery and the red LED. And like I mention plug in to charge on the computer under 15% i see the LED on and charge icon on the battery. Nonetheless i will try your method and try plugging it in under 15% to see if it charges.
Tried charging the phone at 0% and also inbetween 0% and 15% still not charging. The only way for it charge now is on a fast charger sony usb c cable.
