Somebody know were it´s the picture´albums directory? I want transfer pictures to my phone, (Pc to Device Using wp7 root tool) but i don´t find the albums directory.
Somebody knows how do it?
Of course I don´t want upload to skydrive or email this picture, because are private.
Thank´s in advance
What do you mean the album directory? I'm not really sure what you meant but here are my methods:
Transferring photos from PC to camera roll: (can also be done the same with Saved Pictures folder so it wouldn't show as Other Pictures)
1. Sync your phone to your PC via Zune.
2. Place pictures on your PC to folder "C:\Users\[yourPCname]\Pictures\From [yourDevicename]"
3. Switch to Zune and go to the Pictures pane under collection.
4. Pull down the My Pictures arrow on the left column, until you see your device name folder.
5. Drag the whole camera roll folder to your device on bottom left.
Transferring photos from PC to new album:
1. Navigate to Pictures pane under collection in Zune.
2. On the right column, choose the album you want to sync with your phone.
3. Drag the whole folder to your device on the bottom left.
The pictures folder on the phone is one of the folders under \My Documents\Zune\Content, but just adding files there wouldn't do any good anyhow, they have to be added to the Zune database. The best way to do that is to sync your phone with the Zune PC software, just like NeuroXT said.

yes of course, i know about Neuroxt method but I usually work on Pc works where I don't have Zune software, and I can't install it. I use "webserver HTC root" to copy files.
Thanks for the answer anyway !!!
the pictures are stored in the folder
My documents/zune/content/0300/02 & 03

Somehow, I have folders with photos on my PC, which have synced to Skydrive photos, which are now synced to my WP7 (Focus). I wish to discontinue this. How do I remove synced photo folders from Skydrive?
Also, when I open “Pictures” on my WP7, the device seems to randomly pick photos to display as wallpaper. I don’t want this to happen with certain folders. Is there a way to exclude specific photo folders on my device to be used as wallpaper in “Pictures”?
Thanks,
Dave
To remove the skydrive pictures, you need to login to your live account (live.com).
for the second query, go to the pictures hub and long tap on the top left where it says pictures. you will get 2 options, change background and change it for me. choose the picture you like in change background
Awesome! This will flat-out work to stop the “Pictures” app from using photos not of my choosing as wallpaper. The pictures in question however are not Skydrive photos, but reside in folders I have synced via Zune. I would like to be able to select specific folders from which wallpaper could not be selected, but this is certainly a solution to my dilemma.
I actually desire to remove all Skydrive photo folders from Skydrive and thus, my WP7, but I can’t figure out how to do this.
Thank you for your help,
Dave
I'm guessing that you want to remove the pictures that you synced to skydrive using your phone:? If so, you can logon to skydrive.live.com and remove them

No Sir, not so much. I want to remove all of my photo folders from Skydrive. I don’t want the folders to show-up in my Skydrive. More importantly, I don’t want any folders entitled “from windows live” to show-up when I go to “Pictures” on my WP7. It makes absolutely no difference to me if I achieve this using my lap-top or my WP7. I wish to use only Zune to sync photos to my WP7.
Thanks,
Dave

Photos from PC
I'm not sure if this discussion is finished but here is my experience. Whenever I view photos on my PC and then later do a sync of my WP 7 phone all the photos in the directory I was looking at sync to the phone. Why? Then I try to delete them off the phone and they delete from my PC--aaaah
Same problem i deleted all photos on windows live/skydrive account, but the album still with the same pictures in the phone...
If anyone uses Sugarsync, please test this if you have a moment:
1. Create a test folder on a PC that's synced,
2. Copy a few test documents to it,
3. Select "Sync to this device" on the TF.
4. Once all the files have downloaded, check the date/time stamp on the files on the TF. Are they now set to the date/time that they were just downloaded?
5. Hit the resync button next to the folder on the TF.
5. Check to see if the files on the PC in the synced folder are now set to the same date/time stamp.
This is a bug, and Sugarsync says it's specific to Honeycomb. That seems true, because this behavior isn't exhibited on my Epic (the files retain their original date/time stamp). I'd like to just make sure it's not something specific with my install or TF.
Thanks!
I have my phone unlocked and I have the touchexplorer installed. I viewed a PDF about 2 months ago and I want to look at it again. Is there a temp folder that holds these documents and where is it?
normally u would find all your pdfs in Adobe reader unless you deleted them, now if u did I am not sure but I do not think it would show up in temp or anything coz that would just waste precious memory.
Pdf Reader sometimes doesn't store files when you receive few different files with the same name. Like I receive my carrier bill having the same name every month. Because you can't rename files hence the conflict appears. Another great "advantage" of lack of file explorer.
And if in this case you deleted the email containing this file than Pdf is gone.
I was able to find the PDF by going opening the Adobe App (simple right..) now I would like to get it to my computer. I have it set so windows explore on my computer can access the files on my phone but where would that specific file be stored?
Hello, I like to take photos and videos using my Note PRO 12.2 However, it has happened a few times that when I showed people photos/videos in Gallary, those that I did not want to show also showed up. What is the best way to hide these videos/photos? I am using an un-rooted device. Thanks.
Rename those files (or folder containing them) to start with "."
They should not show up on your gallery.

Create a new empty file and name it ".nomedia" without the quotes. It will hide any media in the folder that you place it from any gallery/media app.
Thanks. In the case of putting confidential photos and videos in the folder called .nomedia , how do I view those files?
I guess the above approach is very good if everything is in one folder. If I organize the files into folders like "Summer trip to the US", "winter 2014", "school", "research", etc., it may be a bit inconvenience to move selected files from each folder to one big .nomedia folder or create one such folder inside each bigger folders.
Alternatively, is there a good photos/videos viewer that allows me to drag and drop files or folder to it so that they are perhaps password protected?
Try Quickpic. Under its settings there is a browse menu where you can exclude certain folders.

You're mistaking two things for eachother.
A .nomedia file is a file. You can find one, for example, in the Android folder. It excludes the content of the folder it is located in, as well as any subfolders, from the MediaScanner/Indexing Service process. (Thus the solution for excessive Media battery usage). This excludes the files from the gallery, no matter the gallery setting.
Renaming a folder with .[foldername] does not require it to be called NoMedia, you can call it anything you want. This excludes the folder from apps that have the settings 'exclude folders starting with .' to hide the folder. Meaning you can also show the folders if you want.
Folders with a .nomedia file in it will not show up in the gallery or mediaviewer, but the files can still be opened the normal way from a file explorer.
I've excluded all folders with media in it except for the Alarms, Ringtones and Notifications folders (or the alarm/ringtone won't go off), and opening videos, pdf's and images is done by simply opening the file through a file explorer.
Basically, you can either make a .[foldername] folder and drop them all in there, or make a regular folder, drop all the images in there and copy a .nomedia file into it. The effect will be the same, except that you can choose to show or hide them if you use a .[folder]. .nomedia can not be disabled in the regular gallery. (It can in Quickpic.)
When I check the google photos app under photo settings/ back up & sync/ /back up device folders I don't see all the albums in my S22 gallery. Is anyone else having this problem?

That's known problem that users have with Google photos. I've looked into this on other forums. Google is not looking into fixing this any time soon.
I've tried multiple things but they really don't apply to what we are trying to do. For example i have a DJI (DRONE) folder that i want to back up but it's not even an option to select.
The only fix was to create a new folder in your "pictures" folder using a file explorer, and then transfer the pictures you want back up into that folder. Google photos will read the folders that are inside your "pictures" folder. You should now be able to backup that newly created folder. Hope that helps
I also wish there was a way to remove screenshots to be automatically backed up, unfortunately with Google photos there is no option to deselect the screenshot folder. Google photos is awesome in so many ways but these quirks are very annoying

Not sure what you mean, but Photos does detect images in the screenshots folder.
maybe the 100GB one drive offer is better than. anyone know if it syncs perfectly??
The problem is with Samsung phones. On previous phone Huawei, I didn't had this issue. Because in DCIM folder were only photos that I took. Everything else were in Pictures folder.
This is really annoying!

I use OneDrive and it works for me. It can be a bit confusing though so this explanation of how it works for me unfortunately must be a bit long. I do backup all except one or two folders on my computer to OneDrive. I don't remember the settings I might have initially put on OneDrive but here is what happens with my photos.
When I take a photo on my phone or do a screen capture on the phone, OD immediately uploads those to the cloud and then downloads them into a folder I have on my computer called "Camera Roll". So, within a few seconds to a minute of taking a photo or screenshot on my phone, those are available on my computer in the Camera Roll folder. Oddly when I then look at my pictures in OD, the photo will be saved there, but the screenshot will not. So even though OD syncs screenshots from my phone up to the cloud and then down to my Camera Roll folder on my computer, OD does not seem to save the screenshots in the cloud storage. But I end up with screenshots both on my phone and on my computer, so this is OK for me.
When someone sends me a photo in a message or email, those seem to get backed up by OD also. If I click the OD option to show photos from all folders, I do see those photos that were sent to me. I do get messages and emails both on my phone and on my computer, so I am not sure if it matters to OD if I first look at a photo received in a message on my computer or on my phone.
Once a photo is on my computer, if I edit it and save it to another folder on the computer, that copy will be backed up by OD also.
It gets interesting when deleting photos.
If I delete a photo from the Camera Roll folder on my computer, it is deleted from OD cloud storage also, but it is left in my gallery app on my phone. Of course, if I open OD on my phone and look, the photo is not there as it has been deleted from cloud storage.
If I delete a photo from my gallery app on my phone, as long as this photo has already been uploaded by OD, the only place it is deleted is on my phone. I like this because I can delete photos off my phone, but they stay in OD cloud storage and in my Camera Roll folder on my computer.
If I delete a photo in OD that has been previously uploaded from my phone’s camera and put into my computer’s Camera Roll folder, it is removed from OD and from the computer’s Camera Roll folder. It is left in my phone's gallery app though.
Hope this helps.

this is what i was worried about. i am trying to find an auto backup strategy where it backs it up maybe weekly. i take a lot of photos and that means i also sift through and delete many so syncing cloud and pc would be a headache. i have my phone san-photos/video already auto backed up to my samsung cloud so i'm just looking for a media sync that works for my needs. thanks for sharing.

Yes, because all photos taken get uploaded right away, and deleting a photo from the camera app does not delete it from OD, you end up with a lot of photos saved in OD that you don't really want. So yes, if you take hundreds of photos, this would be a pain. I am not sure of all the settings in OD though. Maybe you can have it backup only periodically or set it so a photo deleted on the phone also gets deleted from OD?
If I take a photo, it's not uploaded till I open photos: is this normal?

I am using OneDrive and immediately after I take a photo, that photo is uploaded to OD and downloaded to the Camera Roll folder on my Windows computer.
If I take photos on a hike in the woods and have no service, as soon as I get reconnected to cell service or wifi, the photos are uploaded.
