[Q] wifi no longer working?? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ive had my 300 for about 2 weeks now, no issues nothing, its not even rooted. Everything was working fine till about 2 days ago when the wifi would not connect. I would restart the 300 and it would stay connected for about 30 seconds or so before it would disconnect. Whenever i would go to the wifi screen and select connect it does nothing. Any ideas?

Try deleting and recreating your wifi connection. Get it once in a while with my phone.

Get Wifi Analyzer and make sure you're using a clear channel. There could be interference from another wifi network.

WiFi connection problem

Hi to all, does anyone have problem WiFi connection its stops working then, the icon shows full bars but if I'm trying to use its using the 4g connection. Like both icons are on and its using the 4g connection, sorry I don't know how else to explain.

The thing is it doesn't turn off the 4g radio once u connect to the wifi it shows both of them connected and when I try to use the speedtest app its testing the 4g connection then changes to wifi

I saw that this morning. It just took a while for it to actually switch over to wifi and I don't think the 4g icon ever went away.
I'm trying my best not to use wifi because I'm testing T-Mobile's service to see if it works for me.

I'm having a similar problem. I have a terrible T-Mobile signal in my house so I always have wi-fi enabled. I've noticed a couple of times that my phone tries to use the mobile data instead of the wi-fi data even though I have no mobile signal and full bars on the wi-fi. I have to either go to airplane mode, then re-enable the wi-fi, or un-tic the "use mobile data" box in the wireless settings, and then it will switch to wi-fi and it works fine. I've had the phone for two days and this has happened twice.
One other thing I've noticed is even when I have a good signal, MMS is reluctant to send over the mobile network. If I reboot my phone and then send the message it sends right away.
It also takes a while for it to switch to wifi for me as well. Once it's on, it's on though. I noticed that to enable it quicker, turn it on and go into Wifi settings where you see all the available networks. It appears to connect instantly from that screen.
Yes this issue is starting to get real annoying. I powered on this morning and both wifi and 2g connected. 2g wouldn't drop until I toggled the data connection

here's a thread that may help. i think it's the same issue you're describing.

your problem sounds like an apn issue or provisioning problem.
are you using a stock phone? what apn is selected?

I have that problem on Sky Ice Cream Sandwich 4.5. To fix it I quick toggle airplane mode.
Same problem here..I am not stock rooted. seems like an Lte issue.

I have a similar problem. I loose data out of blue. Called Att and they informed me that my data was removed for some reason. They reconnected but ever since than, I loose data for no reason. I have to reboot the phone. Even than, my data works for only 10-30 mind and disappears. When that happens, I have to call ATT and the disconnect my phone and reconnect and it works fine for a while. I've called them 4-5 time in last few weeks. They think its the phone. They are going to send me a replacement.

Can't connect to a wi-fi network after rooting?

Just rooted my gs2 and everything works great except my wi-fi. It scans for about 10 seconds and then it turns the wi-fi off by itself. Any suggestions?

[Q] Wifi Drop

I have a rooted Nexus5 which aint running any custom rom. I have noticed that my wifi drops . the icon shows active on the status bar but there is no data transfer.
i thought it could be one of the xposed modules which might be interfering so i unrooted my phone and put it back to stock. The wifi signals were fine for a day or so and i am now facing the same problem again.
I downloaded the Wifi Analyser app from the play store to check if there is any interference from other routers in the vicinity. I have changed the channels multiple times but to no avail. At the same time my laptop & desktop connects fine to the router.
I am currently running stock 4.4.2 build # KOT49H

Try an app called "Root- Push Notifications Fixer". There are two versions one that requires a rooted device and one that does not I use the rooted one and off hand cannot remember the difference. Below is the playstore link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andqlimax.pushfixer&hl=en
This app resolved a WiFi issue I was having. I originally blamed my router/device but it was neither. I use it on both my Nexus 5 and 10. Read the app description for the issue it addresses.
Good luck.

I had something similar on my Nexus 5. The wifi speed would drop dramatically at random and it looked like web pages had stopped loading. My connection is 25Mb but the N5 would drop to 1-2Mb. I'd then have to turn wifi off and on to get the speed back up.
After searching around for the same issue a few people suggested turning off mobile data while using wifi. After doing this the speed has never dropped. I've since set up a Tasker profile to turn mobile data off when connected to wifi and back on when wifi is out of range/off.
Might be worth a try.
Its helping mate . will try it for a day or two to see how it works .

Me, I've tried everything and nothing helped at all. App Wi-Fi Analyzer tells me no signal. Tried a few kernels also. Waiting for rc of cyanogenmod to see if anything will change.

guys , looks like i have finally sorted the problem. I called my ISP and he suggested that it could be a looping issue with the router. He advised a hard reset which i have done now. i can now connect to wifi with my phones
sometime my Wi-Fi lost data even the connection is still on. I'm using Franco kernel r32. I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Wi-Fi issues on CM11

Hey guys, I'm having some problems with my Tab's wifi. It stays connected for a bunch of minutes, then it disconnects and I have to reboot my tablet to make it work again. Sometimes, it reconnects right after, but the wifi icon is orange, not white. Not sure if that's causing the problem, but I use Connectify on my Windows 8 laptop, but I never had those issues with CM10.1. If that helps, I can generate a logcat, so you guys can try to detect what's going on.

Quick update: just got in my friends' house and I've been using their router for 15 minutes. No issues for now. I'm starting to believe that Connectify is the culprit. Maybe a logcat can still help?
