Hello all, I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable people had any news of I.C.S coming to the US , via T Mobile? There is so much speculation on this, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this subject? I contacted T Mobile representive and she did not know what I was talking about.....then she said oooh that will be months away! I hope she's wrong! Months away? Really, what is your understanding on this subject? I will appreciate any input or opinions, thank you

I was waiting for this: I think every carrier should have its own "When is ICS coming to my Sensation OTA?" thread.
That said, the information you got is typically non-informative. I remember struggling to explain what a software update was to one of the reps. Now, of course, I realize that they simply don't have an answer and, per posts to be found elsewhere (Search!) say "in a month or two" as a basic TMO CYA policy.

Thank you for the tip.
Honestly I'm glad T-Mobile decided to delay the update. For some reason HTC now thinks it's acceptable to turn on your WiFi and/or Mobile Network whenever they damn well please. Apparently it takes a carrier to change their mind.
Hopefully it's a quality update when released!
Yeah I hope so too

There's no way that's an official Tmobile statement. Did you see the terrible grammar and run-on sentences? That person has a junior high education at most. An actual press release would be much better formulated.
I'm guessing that "update" was copied and pasted directly from a thread here at XDA.

I have tried like 20 ICS roms, and this has never happened to me.

Just so everyone knows this was posted in another thread like just a week ago. And it has a different website linked as the source.

Do you normally leave them on? If so then you're immune. This is a well documented issue with every ROM using the latest bases from HTC. Just read a few pages of any ROM thread using the base. Turning off auto-sync mostly eliminates the issue but it's a serious pain.
Regardless of workarounds, I find it utterly unacceptable for my phone to turn on its own data connection without me telling it to. I'm sure T-Mobile feels the same way. Imagine the support calls and troubleshooting nightmares.

No WiFi problems for me on arhd ics. As for the update, I really think T-Mobile is going to release it after the one debuts. They don't want to cannibalize one sales.

Yes it is. Its the mobile vision of the support forums/website.
HTC is listening, they released an update for our wi-fi problem and fixed a few more bugs. We all need to repeatedly email HTC and post on their FB wall. They have to fix this.
Accompany this thread with your complaints.

Seriously acting like dicks won't make the fix come any faster they have multiple phones they are creating updates for and they are developing new ones as week speak for next year and they are probably working on the next version of sense. Why don't you fix it yourself if it's that big of a deal.

This is the wrong attitude to take. If my phone is shipped with software deficiencies, I expect the company that made it to fix them. Nobody said they were going to act like dicks. I for one have been nothing but respectful in my communications with htc.

Sorry to say, but the only **** here is you, sir. I didn't pay $550 for a device just so I can fix it myself. If no one says anything, HTC won't take notice. You can take your attitude elsewhere.

Just gotta say I agree. Flooding their inboxes only slows their ability to help. While I do agree we need to contact them about this issue, we don't need to spam them like the OP encourages.
They are most likely already working on the issue.
Well I gotta say, this is not the way to go about things and this certainly isnt the type of threads we need on XDA...

This is for the AT&T HTC ONE X, 502 alone gives that away.
Just like it says, new update coming soon, so hurry and unlock your bootloaders!!!

Great. I'm waiting on a replacement again. This time for the battery and it was supposed to ship out yesterday but for some reason it didn't and AT&T didn't know why. I'll be SOO mad if it comes with this update and that's the only reason it didn't ship.
EDIT: Is this serious or a joke? I know what the link goes to but what about the update?

Just an FYI to all of y'all here on XDA - HTC actually DOES read these forums, according to a fellow I spoke with from there North American support team referencing a device issue... So, hello HTC representative(s)! I'd also like to point out that insurance is so very important for device owners... Thanks for being helpful as much as possible!
Any phone manufacturer that wants to be semi respectable will read these forums..it's common sense

Yup, they sure do. I was working with HTC support on Bluetooth issues I was having last year, and mentioned I had read on "the internet" (didn't specify XDA) about certain devices being "blacklisted" in the phones's Bluetooth system files. He later contacted me, and said he could only find one mention of it on XDA Developers. It was a post I actually wrote, although I didn't want to fess up to it and admit I was rooted.
