[THEME][AROMA] Galaxy SIII for Rocket Rom v4 --- [07.06 Update v2] - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

Update v2
Ported to v4! New installer as well called Aroma. This installer includes touchdrivers and I've calibrated it for our device as well as added our hardwarebuttons in case you like using Vol up/down to navigate, lol. Mind you, the Note has horrible recognition at the edges of the screen. Anyways... No need to flash the stock look theme as this already does that. Added touchwiz themed dialer. I've added a fully working S Voice with correct voice as opposed to the other APKs out there. This one is just fine and does not use Googles TTS.
If you have ANY new system app installed this will FAIL! From a fresh install to S Voice instead of Media I only had 8k free in /system. It won't be much more if you chose Media instead of Audio.
WORDS OF CAUTION:
Look. RRv4 is a TW rom, meaning it's a huge-ass rom. Because of it, you'll have to choose between installing S Voice or the SIII audio files. If you try to install both you'll get an error and you'll be stuck with no audio... If you WANT to install both, you CAN if you pre-emptively delete /system/media/audio folder and a few APKs in /system/app before installing this zip. Or you can MOVE the apks over as data apps. Anyways, that's why I can only condone installing this after a CLEAN install. You can still install the theme no problems, but choosing either S Voice or Media without having sufficient space... yeah.
ALWAYS CHOOSE TO SAVE LOG JUST IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG!
If after choosing reboot it goes back to Recovery with an error, send me your logfile.
S Voice instructions:
Go to settings
Go to Language and input
Go to Voice recognition
Change to Samsung powered by Vlingo
Go to Text-to-speech output
Change to Samsung TTS
Have fun with the Siri-wannabe
After bootup, go to Play Store and install YouTube. I had to delete it as System app because of size constraints.

Update v1.6
Ported to v3. Thanks to eybee including SecLauncher2.apk and widgets, this .zip is a BIT lighter. Flash rom, reboot, go back to recovery after initial boot is done, and flash my .zip.

Update v1.5.2
Added Galaxy S III widgets and audio. Weather does not contain the dreaded, ugly starburst with the number 1 or 2 in it. This contains eybees latest Data toggle in dropdown menu WITH the latest batteryfix. Enjoy my updater-script upon installation.

If you do not see the lyrics to Rebecca Black - Friday upon installation (after progress bar has disappeared to the right side, lol), then you have installed the wrong zip and that's why you still have the battery bug.

Tons of quick updates.
EDIT ADD: Do not install these if you're on Rocket Rom v2. Will update it tomorrow for v2.

Nice job!! Love the SIII Icons! my NoteSIII homescreen is now complete! the only problem is that the systemUI.apk is causing my com.android.phone process to FC.
A question...whats the difference between the stock SystemUI.apk and the new SystemUI.apk?

What rom are you running? That APK only has a few icons changed. Mainly the Settings icon in notification area and other places. It's not an important APK for desktop-aesthetics, really. Hope you backed up your old one.

I'm running stock ICS LPY. I backed all the APK's before i replaced them. Returned the old SystemUI.apk and Phone.apk and all is fine now

can this be done on midteam roms 1.3 or 1.4.

I install this theme on rocket v2

Ah, nice! I'm currently making a ZipThemer theme so when people flash in CWM only the .PNGs get update. That way the theme should be universal. Will update when I'm done.

I didn't change the internet icon as it's almost exactly the same, but I'm doing it in the next update. I don't think any other icons are missing, but if someone notices - please, do tell.
Also, if someone has used ZipThemer before, please help me out in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26503477&postcount=236
I see that Kalagas has made his theme flashable with ZipThemer, but mine doesn't apply (though I get no error and it seems to be flashing just fine). I've tried putting his update-binary and phoneDatabase in the edify folders, but that just softbricked my phone.

Added flashable zip for latest Rocket Rom v2. Open with 7zip and remove SystemUI.apk and the folder "framework" if you're not on Rocket Rom v2. May also need to remove Phone.apk if you have FCs with Phone.

Updated to 1.4.1 with battery fix.
Working on landscape for 1.5

flashed on LP8 lost status bar

Says XXLPY on thread title.
Anyways, copying over a fresh SystemUI.apk from your roms .zip file (just extract it and place it in /system/app and correct permissions) should clear that up. If not, it's framework-res.apk in /system/framework. Can't remember where the statusbar is located.

why is wallpaper scrolling different? in previous TW, once the wallpaper is scrolled to the right end, it scrolls back to the left end of the wallpaper but this TW it instantly shows the first left end after scrolling through the right end of wallpaper. Not saying the transition is wrong but it doesn't look attractive without scrolling back.

That's just how it works. Until someone creative finds a nice fix, we'll have to live with it. :/ I only use 1 page so I hadn't noticed it myself, but others have taken notice before.

NexTheme Keyboard...

Does anybody out there know how I can just apply the skinned android keyboard without applying the entire theme?
Thank you.
I had the same question posted in his thread with ni answer yet. All I need to know is which apk the stock android keyboard is...I don't know which one. I'm used to Sense which is clicker.apk for calibration and HTC_IME.
If anyone knows it would be appreciated.
Open he heme in winrar go into the framework.apk in th keyboard image and extract it... get the original theme from enoms thread and put the image in the dame place on that theme
Resign the framework.apk then resign the .zip

I don't have the 1.2 keyboard though. Can't seem to find it searching. Can someone post a link to it or a link to the keyboard apk?
Thanks.
I did this by accident but it works. I flashed CyanogenMod 5.0 Beta 3 and then the Googgle add on. Then I flashed the extra memory zimage. Next I flashed the NexTHEME but found it didn't work with the memory hack. So, I flashed back to CM 5.0 B3 (only CM 5.0 B3, not the Google add on). I ended up with the NexTHEME keyboard skin on CM 5.0 B3. If you flash the Google add on, you will end up with the stock keyboard. I flashed the memory zimage back. Next I used the MetaMorph app and added the black notification bar. I did not wipe between any of the flashes. So far, I've had two random reboots in the last 48 hours. Other than that, things are working very well on my phone.
Okay... open the theme in winrar ... go into system then framework
scroll down until you see framework-res.apk
open it with winrar again... then go into the folder "res" then "drawable-hdpi"
find the files which start with "btn_keyboard"
extract them and then open the original theme that enom has uploaded and do the same proccess, instead of extracting the images copy these ones into it and replace them with the images extracted earlier.
all you have to do then is resign the apk ... then resign the .zip theme
i could do this if i had access to my own computer... maybe tommorrow
I wont have time for the next few days to sit down and move the framework around. Girl is moving in...
Updating to Cyanogen beta 2, then NexTheme, then Cyanogen causes a few too many random reboots. If you wipe everything, update to beta 3, update to the 32 kernal with mem hack, JIT off, I get 0 rebooted and its beyond fast enough.
If you made an update that would be hella appreciated lolittle.

[Widget][LA6]Transparent Accuweather Widget

My first thread in this forum. Completely transparent widget extracted from another rom.
http://www.fileserve.com/file/2Qg75sB/SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk
Best way to install it is to get root explorer, go to system / apps and rename the existing SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk to SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk.bak as a backup in case you decide you want to go back to the stock widget. Now paste the downloaded file into the same location, go to the homescreen and add the widget. It should appear transparent.
Hope it helps.
Currently tested and working on cassies LA6 ultralight rom v8.
thanx working on LA4 deodexed too!
No, it works!
I tried to install it on XXLA4 (axlor4) and after rebooting, dragging the widget on my desktop displays an error message.

what error do you get? Also make sure the system / apps folder is writeable. Merely copying the file wont' cut it. I imagine you are rooted.
thanx very good
working fine on lb1. thx

works great on stock deodexed LA6.cheers buddy!
is it possible to remove the accuweather.com text? in 1x4 mode its making it look ugly.
Just FYI It doesn't work on LB2.

Themes for other Roms will not work for this rom. The apks that the themes replace are different than ours. if you do attempt to flash a theme from another ROM youre phone will probably end up in a boot loop.
To theme
You will need to copy these apps from /system/app folder in phone or from downloaded rom:
Settings.apk
Phone.apk
Contacts.apk
SystemUI.apk
Framework-res.apk from /system/framework
Rename the app youre wanting to theme from .apk to .apk.zip
extract the res folder to a folder anywhere with 7zip(Leave this window open)
change the icons you want in each folder(Usually hdpi and xhdpi folders except for systemui)(make sure to keep same name and size of original icon)
select all icons in the folder you are working in and simply drag and drop icons to same folder in 7zip window replacing old icons
rename .apk.zip back to .apk
push to phone via adb or make update and flash with cwm
if you did the steps correctly you will have themed an app.
Be careful with the .9 images resizing or messing with them can cause them to not display correctly
I use gimp to mod icons.
Im working on a theme myself now. Only thing that gets me is Pantech and AT&T have added alot of icons that are masking the original icons for ICS that are in the apks as well. So there is alot of modding to do to make a full theme for this ROM.

Is it possible to integrate something like the Theme Chooser(available on CM10 and AOKP) on your rom?

Im sure its possible. and yes it is possible to port the themes to our phone. Atleast some of them. You would have to rewrite some of the smali files in the .apk's and .jar files and make a few other changes that will make the apps run on our phone. Thats what Im trying to do now

The only thing i miss about your awesome Ice Flex Rom is the theme-ing capability
theme-ing and customizations are my reasons to choose android over windows Phone
there are just so many awesome flashable Themes available for CM10, its a shame that great phone like Flex can't be themed yet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801752
i am currently trying to read up on android basics and see what i can do myself to help you :good:

Samsung Galaxy XCover S5690 ICS & JB ICONS!

NOTE! This mod MAY work for other Gingerbread devices, as long as they are medium dpi (160) so the icons work AND you wont be ending up with a phone that has 3/4 of the system apps unusable.
Have you ever wanted your XCover to look more like the newer phones? Then, I have a solution for you! I have modified the system apk's of the Galaxy XCover to be the same as on ICS and JB, and i have updated the notification bar icons so they will look like the ICS ones! I have also added the ICS Launcher icons, so your original launcher can look more like Android 4.x without using any custom launchers and themes! Here's a list of the updated apk's:
Browser.apk
Calendar.apk
Camera.apk
Contacts.apk
DeskClock.apk
DialerTabActivity.apk
DownloadProviderUi.apk
Email.apk
FmRadio.apk
Gallery3D.apk
Gmail.apk
MMS.apk
Music.apk
MyFiles.apk
Settings.apk
SystemUI.apk
TouchWiz30Launcher.apk
TouchWizCalculator.apk
Voicerecorder.apk
Please, if you have anything that you don't like in the apk's (wrong sized icon, blurry icon, force closes etc..) please tell me! I will fix them as soon as I can
! REMEMBER TO BACKUP /system/app/ JUST IN CASE !

Editing downloaded TW themes.

I am using a theme that I downloaded from the theme store, however I wondering if there's any way to edit the downloaded theme. For example I am wanting to keep the stock touchwiz keyboard and still have everything else themed.

I would think you find the keyboard in secsettings2 or whatever file all the system core files are in from the stock theme, copy it and replace it with the themed keyboard apk, and don't forget to set permissions to rx-rx-r? That's my best bet. @SICKMADE ? Am I close?

There's an easy way around it. If you're applying theme from theme store, all you have to do is delete theme.input files
Any app that deletes .apk files, will work.
Example*
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.optimizer
Just find the .apk and delete than reboot. profit
Hit the thanks button if I helped you out ?

Yeah I did something like that, after I found the file I added a .bak extention to the end making it a backup, rebooted, and I got my stock keyboard back.

All you have to do is use a root file manager like root browser then go into your data/app folder there you will find all the apps you have installed onto your device including every individual themed apk from whatever theme you downloaded and installed from Sammy theme store... if there is something that you don't like or want from a particular theme ie. Icons or keyboard just simply scroll until you see all the apps from the theme you installed and delete which ever themed app folder that you don't want. Hope that made some sense lol.
