I am looking for HTC Locations from ICS, T-Mobile ripped it out of their Rom so I was wondering if anyone had it. Downloaded one from HTC One S forum but obviously didn't work.

I was wondering.. Since i have a contract now with T-mobile, i cant go and get the HTC-diamond or for that matter, any of the HTC phones can i? except the stupid FUGLY g1? or the "raphael"? I liked the original style for the diamond better, like the way its shaped and stuff. Also the HTC -HD looked nice too... could i order a HTC diamond or any of those HTC phones from somewhere and slide my sim card in there? I was looking on the HTC site already but its too confusing...
So basically I figured maybe someone else maybe already has used the diamond. Actually any of those HTC phones like the HD,dual,or cruise with t-mobile as their provider.. and could tell me if that worked or not. Considering my contract isnt due anytime sooon.... and all of "t-mobiles phones" look lame! I have the wing right now, and let me tell you this phone is junk, mainly because of its memory and processor speed. But enough of my babblin, any help would be aprreciated guys. Thanks!
I would recommend to start here: http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdachooser
And then try to search in your selected device specific thread
Good luck!
you sure can get the htc fuze (at&t's version of the htc touch pro/raphael) and get it unlocked and do whatever with it... just do your homework and read before you do anything.
Hi,
google led me here and i saw that questions like this were answered pretty well here, so ill try my luck.
i found the htc aria on the HTC US website and i like it pretty much. its just like an HTC hd mini with android.
i doubt it will come out in europe since we have the hd mini and wildfire here.
unfortunately the aria is AT&T exclusive.
i found out that you can buy the phone at retail price in the US and unlock it.
so im wondering if it would be working here in europe (germany).
will i have the full functionality in europe?
will i get updates such as android 2.2?
will the branding of the phone restrict anything?
ps: i know the phone is pretty new but i hope there might be someone who can help
I`m also searching for new phone and fell in love with the Aria in a video review I found in youtube. So would this phone be operational in EU or will there be something similar for EU rolling out from HTC soon?
I was planning on getting a Nexus One but it seems I missed the Google store closing by about an hour. Annoying. What I'm interested in is trying some of the custom roms and maybe moving on to making my own or doing some work with the AOSP. So the N1 seemed the perfect choice.
Having looked round at different Android phones I think the HTC Desire now best fits my needs. A very close hardware set to the N1 makes me think that custom rom support will run in (near) parallel to the N1. But before taking the dive I just wanted confirmation of a couple of things;
1) For rooting and loading custom roms is the HTC Desire now as straight forward as the Nexus one? (not including a one off evening or setting things up).
2) Once rooted and with the appropriate setup are there any differences in the capabilities of the N1 and the HTC Desire as far as flashing is concerned?
I guess it could be simply summed up as: am I missing out on anything by going for a HTC Desire rather than trying to track down an N1.
Thanks
You'll get a better response in the HTC Desire subforum.
I have one, it's not particularly hard to flash roms. Although i don't have a N1 to compare it to.
Also we don't have the same roms as the N1 but we do have a ****load of them.
Cheers for that brummiesteven.
If there's no rule breaking then I might repost a similar thread on the Desire forum.
At present it does look like there's little to no difference once the initial rooting is over and done with.
By the way, love the Stewie avatar.
Has anyone found where it is being
Sold? Verizon has confirmed that the Merge is available for purchase through 3rd party vendors but I cannot find one for my wife anywhere

Hi,
I'm new to phone rooting, but I used a guide on this website to root my Boost Mobile HTC EVO Design 4g (not currently active on any carrier, so I'm not too worried about messing up carrier-related stuff). Anyway, I would like to Install a custom rom on it since I'm not a fan of HTC Sense 3.6. My Rom of choice would be PAC Rom, but I would settle for CyanogenMod, or anything else that's pretty good that any of you would recommend. Anyway, I've found these roms for HTC Evo, but not the Evo Design. Will a rom for the evo work on the Evo Design? I've also heard that the Hero S has the same support for roms as the evo design, but I'm not sure how much easier it will be to find roms for that. Basically, my question is, How can I get PAC Rom or CyanogenMod for the HTC Evo Design 4g?
Any/All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I hope This phone gets a lot more attention in the near future due to being the launch phone for Freedom Pop's FREE phone service.

Unfortunately, there is not much support for this phone. I have found support here for it : androidforums.com/evo-design-all-things-root. However, there seems to be one active dev and it is stuck on 4.0.3. Having said that, the ROMs there do work on this phone. The phone is already rooted with CWM 5 already on it. The Messaging app uses a custom version of CSIPSimple and is downloadable in the Play Store. I am currently on the ForgottenKingdom ROM (Kingdom is the phone's codename).
