[Q] Need help my Htc desire S wouldn´t boot

Hello guys,
I have a big problem!!!! I hope you can help me!!!
I flashed my HTC Desire S (model S510e) a few weeks ago... it works wirly good
then the new Htc Sense 3.0 withe Gingerbread 2.3.5 released.
I want to flash it but I need an S-ON Hboot so I take it to S-On again.
But the problem is that I have installed an Custem rom from VirtousUnity 2.39
and now the Hboot told me *** Security Warning*** **** what should I do now?
I have it downgraded from hboot 0.98.0002 to 0.98.0000 to get S-On again.
And then I would flash the new RUU from HTC.. Now I could only boot into the bootloader and
when I want to install the RUU with the HTC utillity it told me error 140...
It was an Htc Desire with T-Mobile branding From Germany I´ve debranded it and installed VirtousUnity
with 4EXT Recovery...

I´ve tried to install the newest RUU with an extracted rom.zip and rename it into PG88IMG.zip
but it told me "main version older"

You badly needed a GoldCard. I would suggest to RUU first to the latest version, 2.xx then downgrade if need be. You have already downgraded your HBOOT. The only thing your missing is RUU. But RUU is giving you an error. Now you need a GoldCard.
A lot of guides, steps, and tutorials are found on the forum. No need to place it here.

There are a lot of threads on how to make a GoldCard even without a phone. Check also my sig as thats the method I use. Use search for others.
No GoldCard = phone un-usable.

Swyped from my Desire S using XDA Premium

Non of the suggested methods will get the CID, cause they rely on the phone being booted or adb, since the phone is booting into fastboot and no custom recovery means no adb.

Help sensation bootloops

Yesterday i have s-offed my phone and after s-offing i have installed clockworkmod recovery,after that i have updated its h-boot but i think i have flashed wrong h-boot image my phone is bootlooping again and again on white htc screen.
Here's some info-

Have you tried reset to the default factory, or just RUU with the right version it will overwrite all. [ROM]Shipped Pyramid ROM Collection

Try removing the memcard so that it won't try to load up the new firmware again.

already deleted PG58IMG FROM memry card,,,but main problem is i am not able to access my phone ,,,i am getting bootloops.

So you haven't yet flashed a rom - you have s-off, stock rom? If so you just need to flash the correct firmware for the rom.

my device is htc sensation Z710e soft 1.52.720.3 hboot 1.80.0000 gb 2.3.4 baseband ,baseband 10.56.9035.00u_10.14.9035.01_M cid was HTC__038 mid PG 5813000
i found a tread but couldn't understand it completely so was hoping for some direct advise,this is what if done so far
cid changed to HTC__001,tried revolutionary but says failed to get root
i read that i had to downgrade in order to get s off ,so i used htcdev to unlock now hboot says

i have managed to install clockworkmod 5.0.2.0 trough adb even if the top just says unlocked in hboot if i press recovery it load clockworkmod recovery but if i load app rom manager from market it doesn't detect clockworkmod ,if i try to install it from there it fails
sorry for the long post but im not sure what to do next ,cause i really dont wish to brick my phone

Use taccoroot.bin to get temp root access and then run revolutionary, u will be able to get S-off
Also dont flash the European version as it is the most buggy ICS update, my friend Krazy_abt_technology who is a recognized developer has also recommended to stay away from European update.
Just getting S-off with everything stock is fine at this time, wait for Indian ICS
....A friendly suggestion

So with the htcdev unlock i still cant flash anything since im still s on?
Any easy instructions out there to use tacoroot pls?

the boot loader is also unlocked and rooted as well

You're using old bootloader (HBOOT).
Not all ROMs are compatible with it.
Use 7.00.0002.
Wipe data (factory reset) before installing a ROM.

Are you sure you wiped everything except the SD card?
Can't see any other reason for errors after boot.

Sensation XL. I know it from my old runnymede rom, on my desire sense 3.5, good old days

But the fact that ur s-on and not rooted ul prob need to flash a ruu. Just ask over in the XL forum.

The only RUU for Sensation XL I could find with this radio was this:
RUU_RUNNYMEDE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_2.31.401.2_Radio_20.70.30.0832U_3831.16.00.16_M_release_258303_signed.exe
Try to flash this RUU.
