After downloading the official ICS upgrade and watching it install, once the phone needed to reboot, it is now stuck at the power up white screen. Any ideas besides flashing back to Gingerbread?

You need the stock recovery

I would wait till someone adds the update into a rom. You could loose root if you update.
If your on a custom Rom just wait for the next release, chances are it wills be in there it if isn't in there already.
If your on stock, then perhaps look for a rooted stock Rom. Someone is bound to pit the newest up with the update already installed in there.
This happened with a lot of EVO 3D users, they updated and lost root and then got stuck at hboot 1.50...
So don't just on every update you see lol.

You can try this method.but if your new then I wouldn't do it and just wait for it to be updated in a custom rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1228648

An ruu is a rom update utility. Basically u plug ur phone in and click start. The ruu flashes the phone back to stock.

Use this link it will take you through the whole process of unrooting and putting a phone back to a stock rom. Since I can't post any http information you will have to add that or google the information.

Hi,
Are you s-off?
No.... but is that a way to downgrade back to.gingerbread*??
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
Do factory reset. It should help.
If I do factory reset it would get me.bak to the old version?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
No, if you're on ICS, you'll only reset ICS.

Hi,
Look HERE
What is ruu???

Are you rooted and s off? If not I'm very sorry to say you can not go back. However if you are rooted yes you most certainly switch back to Gingerbread if you like. If your really hateing it you CAN root and revert back to Gingerbread after your successful in rooting. You might want to even try a Ics Rom. I've found them to be a lot more stable than stock Rom. I was having issues on stock and once I rooted and installed custom Rom the issue went away.however only do what your comfortable doing. I wish you the very best in what ever you're decisions.

O well thank you guys for helping out!

The reason everything is force closing is because it needs a factory reset. My sisters SGSII did the same, i noticed when i reflashed the ota update for her it didnt wipe at all and all the apps force closed
Who here has flashed this update to AT&T HOX? Im thinking about flashing it to my girls phone since our update is taking too long

My wife's phone has the GB firmware from the firmware thread as well with matching rail. Phone was on elegancia GB but would heat up with custom kernel. Switched to Rc mix now.
On both ROMs after waking up in the morning the phone screen won't light up and the green led is on even unplugged. Phone won't turn on unless u do a battery pull and then the battery is completely dead with the red line through the battery. There is no app to control frequency
Can't figure it out

Nobody??? It also says something about select to return to dock mode in the top of emails

why still on GB? if a ROM acts up, change it.
Well it doesn't seem to be a problem with the rom as it happened with 2 gb sense roms but didn't happen on cm7
Anything other than gb causes the phone to random reboot

Did you upgrade your firmware before flashing any ICS ROM?
You must upgrade your firmware before flashing any ICS ROM, otherwise you will face random reboots..
What's the current status of the phone?
S-Off or S-On?? Bootloader locked or unlocked ??

Yes I know about the firmware update I have done that before flashing any ice rom 3.32 and 3.33
The reboots actually started before the phone was ever rooted when it was on the ota update of ics. So I rooted the phone with no improvement tried numerous roms, rils, and firmwares. Then s off with no fix until going back to gb.
I just flashed sensation XE mod 007 Tom yesterday and all seems to be fine now just gonna leave it like that since its not my phone its my wife's and she is just happy to have phone that works right
Phone has revolutionary hboot s off
Thanks for the help
