Would make sense because the devicetracker says invalid serial number.
Mine is also C4OKCTxxxxxx

No one in Canada is getting ota's either, I think my serial number is similar to the one above. You can download and install .29 manually at support.asus.com. I did this and am now running .29 seamlessly.

Asus UK can you confirm that we should be able to access these services?

My device starts with the same SN and im in the US and has a US sku. No OTA updates here either. How do you apply the update manually after downloading it from asus's website?

Download the update from ASUS Support extract and put onto external SD card and reboot. When it loads up into Android it should say it can see an update and to you want to do it.

Download a file called "sop" in the manuals section of the same download page where you got the update. It will have detailed instructions on how to install the update.

I suspect there is a batch of serial numbers not in there master list??? Which is probably why anything that is doing a serial check is failing.
Gulp! Hopefully it is something they can easily fix.
Without ota... i cant keep root if i want to upgrade.
Without unlock.. no roms and no root
Wish I had got a US model now :-(

Im in the US, same serial, same problems. No OTA device tracker or unlock. Im going to return it tomorrow and see if another works the same. I was fine with no OTA since I was waiting on a recovery and roms.... but if I cant unlock the bootloader its a deal breaker.

By any chance are the serial numbers in the 15xxxx range? Meaning C4OKCT15xxxx. I had to exchange my unit due to an issue I was having and both times the unit they gave me was in this serial range and none of them were able to get updates. I finally ended up with one in the 19xxxx range and it was able to update just fine. My friends unit is 17xxxx and it updates just fine as well. It might be a coincidence but it seems that the 15xxxx series are somehow corrupted.

15xxxx here, no ota's. This should be something Asus is able to address?

[Q] Canadians Able to update to .26

Any other Canadians able to update to .26, ive been trying for 3 days checking updates and havent gotten anything at all for signs of an update available.
Anyone know if our version up here would be slightly different at all?

As I booted for the first time the update was there. I will root when it is more solid. Besides I don't need to be rooted yet either. I hear that there will be an update soon to fix the occasional flicker prob on the left hand of the screen.
There is a. 29 US and no OTA update to. 26 WW for me in Canada.... Still at. 17. Do they do this on purpose or is it a bug?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
No update yet, though in a way I'm glad because otherwise I probably would've updated and then been unable to root without downgrading (which sounds like quite a bit of a hassle). Since I haven't encountered any major issue with the tablet thus far I'm not too worried about not having the upgrade.
I wouldn't have rooted if it weren't for Sixaxis controller needing it, but while I was at it I took advantage of that to grab Titanium and a few more root apps and am glad I rooted in the end.

No, it's called Voodoo OTA Root Keeper for a reason... It only works with OTA (over-the-air) updates.
FYI to fellow Canadians not receiving OTAs, Asus has posted the .29 update on their support site today. I just installed, working perfectly. You can find it here: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=ASUS+Transformer+Pad+TF300T&p=20&s=16 Make sure you check to ensure you install the correct software version. Is confirmed in Settings/About Tablet/Build Number. Enjoy.
I am going to assume now that the bootloader unlock tool is out its easier to flash su and such onto this to root it?
am i correct on this?

[Q] Can be Bootloader locked again with this?

Hello,
i have found this one in section for HTC One XL for locking the bootloader again.
I am curious, if this would work also on ours TF300T's?
Just in case i would need to send it for repair (hope this will not happen).
The command should be:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Even if it would be possible, it wouldn't matter since Asus already has your tablets serial number registered as "unlocked" in their database.
Skickat från min Galaxy Nexus via Tapatalk 2
Hmmm, i didn't realized that.
And if it will work, will the OTA updates work, or no, because of their DB and my unlocked Transformer?

I'm hoping for one of two things or both to happen...the decompile the bootloader unlocker project in the development section is sucessful in their efforts to unlock the bootloader without relaying your SN back to asus, or, someone figures out a way to install CWM recovery without having to unlock the bootloader.
one question. I have unlocked my bootloader 5 minutes after I got the tab.
Tested all available roms. Today i got back to stock and rooted it with the root.zip.
Booting into system and Ill get an update available message from asus. Thought there were no on air updates after unlocking

Unlocking the TF300T

Hi, I will be getting a Tf300t tablet soon and I'm very excited about unlocking and everything else, I'm not new to flashing and recovery since I have a Galaxy Note running AoCP CP3 Jelly Bean, but here is my question.
The Tf300t unlock utility for the bootloader, does it work on Jelly Bean? The asus site says only for ICS. The tablet will probably come with ICS from the store but should I upgrade to JB right away or run the unlock utility on ICS before flashing the OTA upgrade to JB.
Another thing if I unlock the bootloader once I upgrade to JB will it lock again?
So many questions, I'm really excited.
Thank You guys in advance.
Erik.
Hey,
I am not sure but I think I have seen someone complaining about using the unlocker on JellyBean (this guy's tablet got bricked after using the unlock tool on JB - this is not confirmed). So if you want to unlock the bootloader, do it on ICS, you will be safe. Also, after you unlock the bootloader you're loosing warranty and for the time being locking again is not possible (this is what you have to acknowledge before you will be able to unlock the bootloader). Moreover, if you will unlock it your tablet won't receive any OTAs anymore.
So no, after you upgrade to JB the bootloader won't be locked again .
Cheers.

thanks, that answered my questions, regarding the warranty I know the unlock voids it, that's why I bought the Square Trade warranty for 2 yrs. I probably take the JB update and then just wait for the JB unlock tool to be released by ASUS.

Hey man jus wanted to let you know that the unlock tool worked for without any problems on JB Bootloader. I think i've seen a couple of other users that were successful in unlocking their JB Bootloader using the tool. After that i installed CWM Touch using fastboot method and everything is history from that on. I highly recommend Hydro JB ROM as it takes out all lag and makes the TF300 so much more pleasant to use.

Good to know man, I had my doubts regarding JB but I think I'm gonna let it do the OTA update and then try to unlock, if it fails I guess Amazon has a very good return policy.
Thanks for the heads up.
Square Trade is awesome btw. Ive gotten many electronics replaced by them without any complications. Well worth the $$$
I just received answer from Asus Customer Support, and the technician advised me that bootloader unlocker available on Asus website is working after tablet has been upgraded via OTA to JB.
http://www.nyanimg.com/i/2012/09/11/mpTIY.jpg
So I can just update to the latest update from there. (Keeps bugging me to do so anyway.) And use the unlocker on their site? Then install whatever rom I want?
UPDATE: Updated to the latest OTA Update, downloaded the unlock .apk straight from my tablet, opened it, accepted, it restarted and said in the top right to wait as it received the unlock command, finally said "This device is unlocked.".
Was very simple and easy to use.
question
]so my ota never came back so i manually update from the asus site so can i use the unlocking tool to get cm10 ?

Unlock will work on jb. If u do ota to jb then u can't install any other custom Roms beside stock based build Roms.
Bah I was so excited tonight since I decide it's time to unlock because of all the recent custom kernel development. But the unlocker keeps failing: An unknown error occurs, which may be a network connection issue..." I have kept trying for a while now, same error, only once have I gotten a confirm google account prompt while doing it but in the end it still failed.
I also did a factory reset just in case and same result, any ideas? or do I just keep spamming the button until I get it?

I suspect ASUS has stopped the 4.2.1 OTA update as well. I recently replaced the motherboard of my tf700 and ASUS Service Center restored my tablet back to 4.1.1. Since then, no matter how I check, there is no OTA update to 4.2. Nevertheless, this actually makes me really happy, because I pleasantly realize that 4.1 is actually much faster than 4.2, UI is a lot more responsive, stock browser is faster, no app crashing as well. Furthermore, the recent app screen is back to the left edge of the screen, the way I always want it to be. ASUS can take all the time they need to fix 4.2 (if there are indeed problems with it), I'm happy with 4.1.1.

Depending what ASUS did, your serial numbers may no longer match in ASUS servers, which could be another reason as to why you are not receiving updates OTA. If this is true, then you will not be able to unlock either.

I was thinking about this possibility as well, but here is the tricky part: When I received my tablet back from ASUS Service Center, I specifically asked them whether my tablet could receive OTA updates, because when I sent it to them, it was on 4.2 instead of 4.1. After checking for quite some time, the technician said that he had checked ASUS Server and reassured me that my firmware was the latest that they had (he said that the 4.2 update did not exist in their internal server, even though he was aware of the update). Together with the fact that ASUS removed the 4.2 firmware from their website, I suspect that the OTA update is not available as well.
Obviously all of this is just my speculation, as it could simply be the case that ASUS screwed up my serial number (it is still the same though). Since there is no update currently available except for the 4.2 update (I'm on the latest firmware for 4.1), I have no way to check if the OTA update service is working properly.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I just would like to know why they pulled it. Makes me nervous to install one of the ones from the links, if there is something wrong is there going back to 4.1? I know with my tf300 once you went to 4.2 there was no going back.

No it is fine, but there are issues the can sometimes break bluetooth, but it is easy to revert back to 4.1.1. I have those links posted elsewhere and people have used them with no trouble.
