The main thing keeping me from trying another ROM is the End Call button HTC puts in notification bar, allowing you to hang up from anywhere in the phone. Is there another ROM with this feature or an alternative?

I have tried to update it through the software update, it gives me this update of about 154mb, but after i m done downloading i see no new changes.

I recommend either going S-Off or grabbing hold of a kernel which has write security disabled. Then installing the apk yourself so you may properly install the driver. May provide better results. I am not all that familiar with this apk myself. I don't even use it lol.
