Out of curiosity, what's everyone running at the moment? CleanROM? CM9? Stock 4.0.3/4.0.4 etc?

I'm running CM9 and all the problems from stock are gone, no lag and no unresponsive touch screen.

Maybee a dumb question but i have a new tab2 7 inch p3110. Is the custom rom cm9 the same for all the tab2 tabs? I mean for the p3113,p3110,p5100?

Currently running CM9 with MetalliKernel.. I'm digging it,even though I cant move apps to my external sd car (which is like that on all roms including stock). Very stable, fast, no lag or issues.
Update: Using GL to sd to move my games with massive date to my external sd card

I am currently running CM9 Nightly on my tab, and was so impressed that i decided to install it on my 4 year olds tablet that we have bought him for his Christmas this year.

Give me a good reason not to install Cyanogenmod on my Tab 2

After the recent update I faced a lot of problems with the Tab 2 (GT-P3113). Apps crashing... Wifi dropping...
Yesterday CM officially released the RC2 which supports Tab 2... So, shall I install it? Anyone use CM on Tab 2? How is it?

I did it! Yipee! Except for 2 problems, everything else is fine... Kaspersky Tablet is not getting installed (Say its not compatible with the device (worked with the stock ROM)) and bluetooth is not working Can live without them for now!

Which ROM is the best for note 10.1 with jellybean?

Hey so after flashing the ROM with cmw10 nighties but I am starting to miss the peel app along with the s-pen apps and camera. So which rom is preferred or should I bring back to its original state if I can.

Its up to you what you like best ,I'm liking cm10.1 better right now but do miss some of the stock apps like peel but other then that I don't use multi window feature that much and I like using theme and modding so I like cm10.1

i use an older version of redemption rom, awesome stuff

I have not used a custom rom on my note yet and would recommend stock rom but if you want custom rom cm is the best but wait for the stable mode to be out currently the nightly is out which has issues as it is under developement
But with CM you will lose spen and multiwindow support

No spen works great still you just lose multi window and Samsung apps.

I've been using Something ROM, which is a TouchWiz based ROM with some light theming . It is JB based and is EXTREMELY stable on the N8013.

Well i updated the nighties and now the camera is working but cant use the peel app or the spen apps either way it sucks because jellybean is now rolling to US Note 10.1 GT8013, now i am stuck because i cant find the firmware on samobile either way if this tablet didnt have a ir this would of been great.

jcesar085 check again, it is out there. Got mine last night. Both SamMobile and sumsung-updates.com have it.

I don't care about s-apps, but the multi-window is really usefull :/
AOSP + Multi-Window would be great
Maybe someday someone will do a "de-touchwitz" rom (erasing all non-necessary for still having m-window) ?

What's a good rom for the galaxy tab 2 10.1 and why?

I am currently running cyanogen mod 10.1 nightly and so far it's a great rom and I do like it a lot. But I would like to try some new roms and see how they are. So tell me what are your favorite roms and why?

Depends on what you want.
I'd suggest but it's truly your decision in the end, sungsonic hd if you want stock but quite a bit customized. Plus adi the dev of that rom does an awesome job of updating his rom. His runs on JB 4.1.2
Also if you want custom ICS I'd suggest Romswell for that

CM 10.1 with no doubt. While other roms have many features, CM 10.1 are update almost everyday, its very small and very fast. and its android 4.2.2.

I'm almost certain only the 7 inch version but you'd have to check with the dev. I'm still almost sure it's only for the 7 though

Running CM10.1 on my GT-P3113

Works flawlessly on P5100 and P5110. Specially the M-Snapshot.
I ditched samsungs official 4.0.4 for the CM 4.2.2 and i have NO REGRETS.
[even if yesterdays nightly crashed on boot ]

i switched from cm10.1 to Zap Blaster Rom v1.4, ive always liked the TouchWiz interface, and i must say, the battery life and speed is very very good. no lag at all. DO RECOMEND!!:highfive::highfive::highfive:

Welcome to my world. It is a shame because I am betting a vanilla AOSP rom would run great on this tablet compared to the TouchWiz rom which is fine until I use it after using my Galaxy Note 2 and then it feels a bit sluggish.
I assume that the problem is the modem. I am not sure if flashing a ROM for one of the wifi models will boot. I am scared to try.

You are lucky. At least you have JB. I have the ATT I497 and it still has ICS. Been trying to find out if I could at least install your ROM on my tablet but no one ever answers. Development is dead for these 2 versions.
